—-Two points about Paul Ryan’s speech today when he accepted the Speakership to the House.
One: right off he made a very snide comment that I took to be against Donald Trump, he mentioned there would be no ‘conversions.’ It was ad-libbed, and not in his online printed speech.
Two: He made it clear that if the “minority will work in good faith, instead of trying to stop the majority, they might be able to join the majority. This wasn’t meant for the Democrats, this was a bullet aimed right at the backs of the Freedom caucus in the House, who agree and represent the people.
” A neglected minority will gum up the works. A respected minority will work in good faith. Instead of trying to stop the majority, they might try to become the majority.”
So, it will be up to Paul who he wants to “respect.”
And Paul ALSO made it clear, that HIS job, their job, is NOT to echo what the people want.
“But we do not echo the people. We represent them. We are supposed to study up and do the homework that they cannot do. So when we do not follow regular order—when we rush to pass bills a lot of us do not understand—we are not doing our job. Only a fully functioning House can truly represent the people.”
Really? That’s not in the Constitution Paul, is it? That’s a rather interesting interpretation of the document. You’re there to ‘decide’ what’s good for the people? If you think polygamy is “good” for the people, then we just don’t get it? Is bringing in millions of immigrants to take Americans jobs away GOOD for the American people? Is THAT what we want?
So…giving Obama everything that he wanted was in OUR interest? The country’s interest? You ran on conservative values, got to Washington, and decided that the Democrats had the better ideas?
That first sentence basically said: You people out there, you don’t know jack shit, and only we, the people in Washington know what’s good for you. You must trust us to do what’s good for you.
Paul Ryan in that short speech, will continue to represent the established Mitt Romney, Bush, Clinton, big corporation/ government that dictates and makes all our lives miserable.
Now, more than ever, we need an outsider like Trump for President. Trump will side with that small minority that echo’s the people’s wishes, and who are suppose to represent their states, and voters. The people need a “people’s” President. While Trump did say we should be able to bring in the brighter minds from outside, I don’t think he would go so far as to say that they should replace our own workers…in every single field. I’ll be watching him for that remark.
Sadly, Paul Ryan got cocky. He sold out.
Nobody thinks Paul Ryan taking over the leadership in the house has been planned for a long time, and Mitt Romney was in the background making it happen. He was there today grinning like a proud papa.
The chess pieces are being slowly put in place.
Now…let’s see what Paul Ryan is going to bring into fruition to the American people.
Exhibit A: Who owns Congress? Who are “we the people” REALLY fighting? Carly Fiorina would agree…the big elites.
Let’s start with Disney…
Some people, when they hear the words “Illuminati” or “New World Order” immediately dismiss it. Face it…even the boomer’s education was controlled…we got taught in our schools ONLY the bare minimal of history, almost NO geography, certainly nothing about political systems, too much about sex in science class, and the boredom in the classroom was astonishing. Not only that, nothing was ever taught about the Federal Reserve or how to play the stock market…the engines by which the world revolves and the rich teach their children, in private.
As I was watching the beginning of this film, I remembered a strange happening when I was about 11. I started getting flyers on the Roscrucians. They wanted me to join their group. If I joined their ‘club” I would learn the knowledge of all the world. They preferred I not tell anybody.
Since it was the very first mail I received EVER in my life, except maybe a birthday card from my grandmother, I must admit..it TEMPTED me…I really did want to belong to a secret society that would give me, year by year the knowledge of the world. But even then, I thought “What’s the catch?”
REMEMBER: I was about 10 or 11. I showed these letters to my mother, who just look at them, and went back to dusting her furniture. I continued to receive an invitation from this group for about two years…and then no more.
It’s not like I signed up for it…you know, picked it out of a comic book. I never answered them back…even though I wanted to. It was the “You can’t tell a soul!” business that bothered me. Really. THAT bothered me. It almost seemed, Lucifer like.
My grandfather was a Mason. He was one of the most prominent Mason members during the depression, and DURING that depression, he made his millions. (By the way, nobody knows where those ‘millions’ went, we suspect, his alcoholic son. ) My mother always laughed because he had an 8th grade education, and didn’t even know how to dial a phone, and yet…he had connections to the biggest companies in town, who gave him their business.
My grandfather and his business dealings remain a mystery to this day. BUT…was Prescott Bush at those Mason meetings? I often wonder as the Bush family had a business not to far away from my grandfather business. Yes, the Bush’s have some ties here.
Yesterday, I was going throw some old jewelry of my mother’s and found a very small golden necklace, with the Mason sign, and the Jewish star engraved on a small Torah. Where did it come from?
It was my grandfather who told us we were descendants of the Adams…but both John and John Quincy were against the Masons and the secret societies of their day. John Quincy wrote some really great dissertations on the subject. I often wondered if that was the reason why, neither John OR his son ever got much of a monument in Washington D.C….John Adams surely was just an instrumental as the other founders in the development of the country.
Anyway, later on in this video, he goes into 9/11 conspiracy stuff, so if you truly think it’s worthless, don’t watch. They did have some things I haven’t seen anywhere else.
And I AM forever wanting to hear every bit and piece of every idea and side of anything…simply because, how ELSE are you going to make anything out of any of it? I am, what I am.
While long…the video has the history that we all can agree upon: The rich…get richer. It’s getting rich in the first place that’s hard. Once there, it’s all in the family.
(By the way, the Bilderberg group has picked Hillary to be the next President…just thought you should know.)
I was listening to the ‘great’ Obama economic growth report on the radio this afternoon while driving my car, and THEN heard the news that Monsanto, the last remaining big salary jobs corporation remaining in St. Louis, was going to lay off 2,400 workers at its St. Louis Headquarters.
What? Could it be that Europe doesn’t WANT genetically designer crops, I thought? The company says…no problem, they are still making billions, it’s just some of their patents are up. Oh. Good to know that those 2,400 people aren’t being replaced by cheap Chinese labor, don’t you think?
The next news? The United States Steel Corporation was closing their coke plant in Granite City, Illinois, laying off 176 workers.—Union jobs. It’s not the first layoff from this plant since Obama took office.
Granite City is right across the river…and the people of that small town depend on those jobs….they come over from the river and spend their money at the Cardinal ballpark here.
In the meantime, in the middle of this ‘roaring’ Obama economy, the new NFL football stadium that they want to build right down on the Arch riverfront, which so far has NO team really, and no way to figure out it’s backing, just got a bid for a name.
The National Car Stadium!
From CBS St. Louis:
National Car Rental has agreed to pay $158 million over 20 years for naming rights. There may be reason for stadium backers to sweat: Rams owner Stan Kroenke won’t return calls to local leaders trying to stop him from taking the team to Los Angeles. Some Missouri lawmakers have threatened not to appropriate money for the stadium bonds unless there’s a public vote on the plan. And a city alderman is threatening to filibuster the local stadium funding package until the mayor delivers a plan to fight crime and poverty.
So the question is…how can anyone believe that the economy is growing when so many people are still getting laid off?
If they can put more officers on the streets of downtown, (taxes) and IF they can bribe the aldermen to go ahead and make the taxpayers fork out more money, (even though we are still paying for the old stadium) those Monsanto workers might be able to get a job in the new stadium…selling hot dogs! I bet some of those old Monsanto employees could come up with some really fantastic tasting hot dog, with cool new names like Roundup Doggie, Bovine Big Boy, or maybe even design a hot dog that has caffeine.
It’s a win/win!
What do you think? Anything would be better than the Rams.
Nobody suggests we call this the “National Hunger Games Ram the Taxpayers Again Stadium.” If the taxpayers have to pay for this stadium, it’s only fair we get to put our two cents into the name.
What do you think? Anything would be better than the Rams. Let them go to L.A.
While Rome collapsed—they entertained the masses with games.
Let’s start our weekend on a great note, shall we? Ted Cruz’s heroic stance against Obamacare has finally come to some kind of fruition. YEAH TED! Ted, has never stopped attacking the corrupt leaders of the House. He has led those “dirty and RADICAL right-wing conservatives” across the nation into seeing, the main problem with the Republican Party, and for that, he got called a “Jackass” by John Bonehead on his way out.
Whoa. If the barn was dirty in the first place, it’s only because of the biggest shitter in the house has been crapping up the barn so long, SOMEBODY had to call in the aerosol.
So, all you people out there who voted to put in the men to STOP Obamacare, you are now…named…dirty. Radicals.
Asked if the tea party wing was being unrealistic in its expectations, Boehner emphatically replied, “Absolutely, they’re not realistic!” Our system of government is not about Hail Mary passes,” Boehner said. “It’s the Woody Hayes school of football: three yards and a cloud of dust, three yards and a cloud of dust. It’s a slow methodical process.”
According to John Bonehead, it takes maybe a century or more to effect “change” even though Obama did it on his first day. What if our President was Hitler, and he ordered all newborn females to be gassed? And what if they didn’t have the votes to overturn his veto,—John Boehner would insist that “these things take time.”
Saving little babies from being cut up and sold to the highest bidder is going to get a ‘committee’ from John. (Right.)
So, what happened behind closed doors that made the Speaker quit, right in the middle of the great Pope orgy? It seems…it’s desperate times for the GOP. 245 days of talking about the Pope and his greenhouse little mini mouse van should keep everyone NOT thinking about the election. Our President, with the help of John Boehner, just shoved down the American throat: climate change, higher taxes, and the flooding of millions of immigrants with a no borders world. I’m sure it only fueled the fires of those dirty American jackasses out there who want to get back at him.
What’s next to distract us from giving airtime to those dirty animals…Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, or Ben Carson? Jeb Bush?
Jeb Bush came out on FOX to tell the world that those polls that show he’s still losing big time in the race, really don’t matter at all. Once American sees how his plans will work to take the country to a better place, they’ll vote for him. He’s SURE of it. And I can’t tell you what else he said because..I fell asleep.
He does that to me…something about those catatonic eye glasses, that makes me think of the last guy who was trying to sell me funeral insurance in my living room.
What’s next to distract us from giving airtime to those dirty animals…Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson?
How about…a visit from aliens? That might take up at least six months. They could even have the Pope meet them at the United Nations, and make them global citizens. The aliens might even give John another good cry. And who’s not up for that?
At the Republican conference on C-Span this weekend, I heard only one candidate take up the subject of globalization. Globalization is the code word for crony capitalism, and the final Asian trade agreement is being put into place by Obama. Bernie Sanders is right on this one point: How could it possibly do any of the little nobodies any good?
It was Carly Fiorina who talked about it. The one person you won’t hear talk about it is Jeb Bush.
The truth is, ever since Ronald Reagan left office, every President that has followed has stuck to the crony capitalism song. No matter how the two parties differ on abortion, religion, NSA, war, control…etc, the one thing they carry out to the letter is America’s international trade for multinationals. The big corporations. The big money. Obama, the Bushes, the Clinton’s, it doesn’t matter.
They all sent the fear of how terrible the world would be if we became isolationists, never explaining of course what the fear would be. Even Rush Limbaugh had a part in this, because for years he praised Wal-Mart as a place, due to “free trade,” where you could get your goods cheap. Nobodies rejoice!
Yes, the rich could still shop at Neiman Marcus, but the poor…well they could just get everything they wanted at Wal Mart. And since it wasn’t unionized, Rush thought it was great.
And yet, we have seen what the big multinational companies, which line our cities and towns from one end of the country to the other has done to American.
So, I thought this video was at least worth watching. What really is happening in the world with all this “free trade” and globalization, and crony capitalism? Does anybody really know? How much damage has it done to the ordinary citizen?
And its true…the rich, in every country, have most of the money. Billionaires are now in great numbers.
In the meantime, as the American worker dies, the Clinton’s, the Bushes, the Obama’s, are all putting OUR money into helping other people in other countries start their own local businesses.
Gee…thanks a lot guys.
I’m not sure I have as much faith as this lady…she thinks if everyone knew what was really going on they could change it…but the video made me think…and Nobody Thinks the subject of globalization should be asked of all Presidential candidates.
It’s one of the reason I like Donald Trump. America needs to manufacture…and more local control over it’s own decisions. Without jobs, the country will collapse sooner rather than later, and they know it, or why else is Obama holding troop training on American soil?
And now Obama is pushing for the Asian trade pact…and he swears it’s for the little guy:
Nike was a curious choice for the president’s speech, given criticism of its labor practices over the years.
But the company pledged Friday to create up to 10,000 jobs in the U.S. over the next decade with its manufacturing partners if Congress gives Obama “fast-track” trade negotiating authority that ultimately leads to the 12-country Trans-Pacific trade deal.
Obama argued that the current system doesn’t benefit American workers, particularly those in the small businesses that he said create two out of every three jobs in the U.S. He said those businesses need easier access to the fast-growing Asian markets.
He also said our health insurance would go down, and we could keep our doctors. And if you are a little guy, with a small business, you don’t stand a chance against the big multinational companies.
In the meantime, Zuckerface wants every single person on the planet to be hooked up to Facebook. That’s his goal….so far, he only has 1.6 billion.
Whose going to ‘buy’ all these computers?
The good old…Mr. and Mrs….USA.
I was GOING to try to find an uplifting story for today…what with all the continuing bad news and all..you know, I was lectured today by a lady friend who just couldn’t stand people who didn’t have a cheery attitude about life. (NO doubt trying to tell me something)
So I was determined to find a story of good will to write about…one where the nobody wins… and I remembered that I read about a woman and her twin, who survived the Nazi, Dr. Mengele’s horrible experiments done on her, when she was a small child, and I thought: That’s it! I’ll write about that. What a inspiration!
And then I couldn’t find the story. If you saw my office, you’d know why.
Tonight, on the news, some black man from Kansas City, “just lost it” and started a speed chase down 50 miles of St. Louis highway, in which he just started shooting people, and cars, and cops. They finally caught him just up the street from my house.
Well, not much inspiring there.
And then, the worst news, I thought, for the area..a city just across the river from Ferguson, is going to die a slow and bitter death:
United States Steel Corp said it would consolidate its North American flat-rolled operations and temporarily idle its operations at Granite City, Illinois, citing weak demand and falling steel prices.
The company is issuing notices to 2,080 workers at its Granite City Works facility in Illinois.
“Global influences in the market like reduced steel prices, unfair trade, imports and fluctuating oil prices continue to have an impact on the business,” the company said.
A stronger dollar has made imports cheaper and steel from China has been flooding the U.S. market in the past few quarters, hurting prices and leading to job cuts and plant closures at a number of steel producers in the United States.
U.S. Steel announced the permanent closure of its Granite City Works coke-making facility in January and cut 176 jobs.
That is a LOT of jobs for that small town. And this is happening all over the country, and the stocks market soars.
This is exactly what only Donald Trump is talking about. Our politicians have done irrefutable damage to us all, with their ‘globalization’ schemes, and poor trade agreements, and it’s been going on for decades. BOTH parties are in on it.
So, maybe by next week I’ll find that uplifting story, in which a nobody little girl, fought hard and lived through the atrocities of Auschwitz.
Or maybe I should just stop watching the news….
“Where ignorance is bliss, tis’ folly to be wise.”
This week, we have the subject of two separations: Rupert Murdoch VS Burger King.
Hey! I didn’t even know (or care) about Rupert Murdoch’s love life, but there it was in Vanity Fair: Rupert’s young Chinese wife of 14 years, Wendi, had been having sexual affairs with other men—- and not just any men. Tony Blair, Google’s Eric Schmidt, and co-founder of MySpace, Chris DeWolfe. (How she missed Bill Clinton is anybody’s guess.)
Get the feeling she likes to feel connected?
Really, what’s a billionaire mogul to do? His mother tried to warn him to stay with his last wife, who wanted him to retire, but Wendi saw her way to riches, and Rupert saw his way INTO China, and with the help of science, he was off to another marriage…his third.
It’s not the shock that a young women took advantage of an older man’s riches, it’s that she had to bed the one man Rupert had put into power, Mr. Blair, and she did it in their own house…and yacht…and who knows where else? Probably even in the Tower of London!
Rupert had raised LOADS of money for Tony, who really doesn’t need more either. But in the hall of fame gold-diggers, Wendi choose carefully: ALL these men …were powerful, rich, and mostly married.
And then we have the divorce of Burger King and its money, from Obama. Yes, Burger King is taking its big Whoppers and moving its headquarters to Canada where it will pay less taxes.
Obama has called this exodus of major American companies to other countries…unpatriotic!
After all…Walgreens wanted to move, and stopped cold after hearing those words, so, should we all be mad that Burger King is NOT going to pay its fair share, and you and I will have to fork out even more? Is it really their fault?
Who wins the Nobody’s Perfect award for the week? (No, it’s not Al Sharpton, I’m sick to death of him.)
Is it Rupert Murdoch, who failed to see that he was marrying a gold-digger? Rumors are he lost over $1.7 billion. Wendi got him into buying MySpace, which he paid $545 million and sold for $35 million. Uh….not exactly what you would expect a smart man to do.
And even though she signed a pre-nup, she got the Rockefeller triplex on Fifth Avenue ($70 million), the house in Beijing ($40 million), $14 million for each year she was married, jewelry and half of their art collection.
Or does the trophy go to Burger King, who just couldn’t stand to keep paying Obama’s high taxes?
It’s obvious isn’t it?
What a man will do for a pretty face, and a busty oriental beauty.
We really can’t blame Burger King for wanting to desert America. That fault goes to our past Presidents (of BOTH parties) who threw America out the window with the bath water when they dreamed up globalization.
Burger King doesn’t need us anymore…it’s in every country in the world now, and its the American people who continue to lose.
As for the REAL loser of the week…Al Sharpton……go ahead……fill in the blank………………………………………
Once of the things I tell myself, whenever I hear Dick Cheney or Obama saying that we will CERTAINLY be attacked again–I say, “Good thing Monsanto has its world headquarters here! No one would DARE bomb the world center of genetically modified crops! “
I just read that Monsanto wants to take its world headquarters from St. Louis to Switzerland, to avoid paying U.S. taxes. The deal didn’t go through, but it’s only a matter of time.
Today, by sheer coincidence, I was reading about just how many people who work for Monsanto, are big on the “control the food supply” band wagon and work for the government.
Michael Taylor: The number two at the FDA was a former attorney to Monsanto, and later a Monsanto Vice-President for Public Policy. Obama picked him to be his food Czar.
Christine Lewis Taylor, his wife: Is a long time employee of the food and Drug Administration and is promoting that nutrients are toxins and that nutrients should be defined as toxins to justify the imposition of limits on the quantity of essential nutrients that people can consume.
Margaret Hamburg: Was appointed by Obama to head the Food and Drug Administration and is on the board of directors at Trust for American’s Health and the Rockefeller Foundation, which has spent a fortune promoting genetically modified food.
Rosa DeLauro: Introduced HR 875 (US Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009) She was a Democratic Congresswoman from the Skull and Bones of New Haven, CT, at Yale University, and has a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
In the meantime, while we are all getting to realize the ‘food’ on our grocery shelves is filled with things that aren’t exactly good for us..the real reason for Monsanto to take over the world’s food supply is..
You guessed it: money.
I don’t know WHAT fool in the Patent Office gave the okay for “genes” to be patented and owned, but you can bet he is living the high life somewhere.
Monsanto leaving the United States will not upset any congressman. It’s the new ‘globalization’, but this globalization…to the regular citizen: sucks. I much preferred Americanization.
Is it any wonder they want the old people to die off? I’m not against modified crops, but what is atrocious, it the dictatorial monopoly of Monsanto, given to them by our government.
I suppose I should look at it from the other point of view: We’ll have fewer jobs–we might become the second Detroit–but Muhammad is going to care less about us. And even if Monsanto DOES leave, it will still have the same control over every single farmer in the world, thanks to the elites.
I hope a giant ebola spider jumps off their breakfast orange.
This week, we have two buildings that are in grave danger: They are both big, they both employ thousands of people, and they both could be taken over. (Or have been already.)
FIRST: The American Embassy in Iraq.
President Bush really didn’t talk about it much, but when he decided to build the biggest embassy in the world, in that unstable country called IRAQ, and on top of that insane idea, make it look more like a summer home for King Saud than an American embassy–well let’s just say it was more than a bit over the top.
Its so big, Obama would even consider living in it.
We understand that the officers like to have a nice place to spend their hours, but did they really need to build the biggest swimming pool in the world?
I’m having a flashback: Saddam was invading Kuwait—and in order to protect the sissy Muslim boys in their palaces, Daddy Bush came to the rescue. And now, we see Obama had to take a few moments from his putt shot on the 18th hole to try to ‘save’ that billion-dollar complex called the Baghdad Embassy from ISIS.
Who would really love a nice dip after their hard days of slaughtering. .
“President Barack Obama announced late Monday that he plans to deploy approximately 275 troops to Iraq who will “provide support and security for U.S. personnel and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.”
ONLY 275? They need that for the pool alone. Obama has more guys protecting him than that when he takes a trip to Ireland to drink beer.
“The force is deploying for the purpose of protecting U.S. citizens and property, if necessary, and is equipped for combat,” Obama wrote in a letter to Congress. “This force will remain in Iraq until the security situation becomes such that it is no longer needed.”
The exact number of people being evacuated from Baghdad — the American government prefers to say they are being “relocated” — was not disclosed. But the embassy will remain open, and most of its staff will remain, according to the State Department.
Ha.ha.ha. Notice the words, “No longer needed.” That’s..when? 5055?
Which brings up the second very expensive complex called the Pentagon. It actually costs LESS to build than the Baghdad embassy…only $83 million, as opposed to several billion, but employs over 24,000 thousand people. According to the reports, only 5,500 American are working at that biggest embassy in the world.
And Nobody asks: Which was a bigger waste of taxpayer’s money?
So who wins the Nobody’s Perfect Award for the week?
Or should it be: Which President has wasted taxpayers money the most?
That’s a HARD one, because the figures are all hidden in Cayman Island bank accounts.
Did Bush build that embassy because he expected someday for the Saudi Family to take it over? Or was it for the elite American officers?
If you picked the Embassy in Baghdad I’d have to agree. It wins for being the biggest waste of taxpayer’s money on the planet, second only to Obama’s vacations, in my Nobody’s Opinion.
Glenn Back had this to say about it:
“I hope to God we detonate that thing,” Beck said, but his co-host Pat Gray predicted that American leadership would never order such a move, and it would fall into the hands of extremists first.
“I can guarantee you that’s a listening station,” Beck said of the embassy. “When we were at CNN, we started looking into the Baghdad embassy, and … it was estimated to be over $1 billion at the time. And there were no pictures of this, no one was talking about it, and it is … bigger than all of Vatican City.”
And what will the terrorists say if they mow down the 275 soldiers protecting that Disneyland of opulence? I can hear it now:
“We are coming for the Pentagon, next.”
He’s called a right-wing conservative nut, but when it comes to the “big picture”, Hillary could take some lessons from Pat Buchanan.
I’ve read many of his books, and he explains our dire situation that America is in with facts and solid numbers.
I wanted to share this piece he wrote on WMD in my files. It’s called, How the GOP Lost Middle America.
Here’s an excerpt:
To understand why and how the Republican Party lost Middle America, and faces demographic death, we need to go back to Bush I.
The Fortune 500 wanted to close factories in the USA and ship production abroad – where unions did not exist, regulations were light, taxes were low, and wages were a fraction of what they were here in America.
Corporate America was going global and wanted to be rid of its American workforce, the best paid on earth, and replace it with cheap foreign labor.
While manufacturing sought to move production abroad, hotels, motels, bars, restaurants, farms and construction companies that could not move abroad also wanted to replace their expensive American workers.
Thanks to the Republican Party, Corporate America got it all.

Congratulations Pat! Everything you have predicted in your books is coming true. At the helm of our politicians, America is falling….
You win the Nobody’s Fool Award for the decade.
FIRST UP: Mozilla. Which runs a search engine called Firefox. It seems, the company’s owners found out too late, that it’s appointed CEO, Brendan Eich, had committed an unspeakable crime:
He helped set up an Al-Qaeda training camp in California—no wait. That was a California Senator.
No, Brenda did something evidently much worse…he donated money to outlaw same-sex marriage, which in California is a crime far exceeding setting up Al-Qaeda training camps.
Mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich is stepping down as CEO following protests over his support of a gay marriage ban in California. At issue was Eich’s $1,000 donation in 2008 to the campaign to pass California’s Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment that outlawed same-sex marriages.
HIS boss, who happens to be a woman, said this when she found out:
“We didn’t act like you’d expect Mozilla to act. We didn’t move fast enough to engage with people once the controversy started. We’re sorry. We must do better,” Baker wrote.
She said that Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech and that “figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.”
Yes, MS Baker just can’t seem to get the concept of free speech, which is why I’m immensely proud of the fact that I never downloaded Firefox, even though Kim Komando (I really like her) suggested it. I went with my gut: Google and Microsoft do enough damage to a computer, why add a third?
A safety watchdog group has released a study that shows General Motors (GM) airbag failures resulted in the death of some 300 people, eight times the number that GM stated.
GM said there had been 12 deaths in 34 cars; the study shows 303 in 1.6 million vehicles from the vehicles GM recalled last month. GM did not recall the cars until February, despite learning of problems with the ignition switch in 2001 and issuing related service bulletins to dealers with suggested remedies in 2005.
So what did GM do? They immediately promoted the smartest and most innocent looking woman they could find in their stack of employees and made her CEO to take the heat: Mary Barra. And Mary went before Congress to explain:
Barra, who has been CEO for less than three months, fielded questions from the House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee for two hours, avoiding any obvious gaffes and keeping her cool but also largely ducking specific answers, saying an internal investigation is underway into why it took GM so long to address ignition-switch problems first detected in 2001 this year.
She was battered for speaking “gobbledygook,” thumped for not firing an engineer who apparently concealed a change to the potentially deadly switches, and blasted because GM made an economic decision to keep the flawed component in production while knowing it didn’t meet GM standards.
Mozilla…basically hurt, not only one guy, who didn’t deserve to be ostracized for his own opinions about sex, but their bottom line. Many conservatives are going to stop using Firefox, and they will lose customers, and Mozilla might end up on the not very popular proverbial floor looking for CNN.
GM on the other hand, has killed 300 people with their negligence, and no one has been fired.(Proof that it’s been nationalized)
BUT…having said that…they are small peanuts compared to how many people will die due to the new Obamacare “less is more” healthcare law.
But, I know, I’m always doing this at the end of my Nobody’s Perfect opinions. So…
I pick GM.
If a bunch of gay people running Mozilla want to have only gay liberals working for their company, hey, doesn’t bother me. It’s a free country, and it’s a good thing now we know we don’t have to use your product.
But, GM…was bailed out by the American people…and murder is murder, no matter if it comes from a greedy bottom line, or a population-culling healthcare law.
So, to make ourselves forget both these companies…enjoy the SNL skit on what all scumbags do, whether they are big multinational companies or corrupt government officials…. when they are caught being…scumbags. They lie.
I could not for the life of me find it on Youtube, but you can see the SNL video HERE. It’s worth the watch!
The big headline today: Vladimir Putin is taking back the Ukraine, and the rich western elites, who are busy enjoying their ski vacations in Snow Mass and Switzerland, are going to have to call a meeting, because, gee…what are they going to do?
They thought Putin would accept his place in the world, and now, they are afraid. Obama dismantled the missiles that protected Europe and destroyed our military, downsized NATO, and has left the middle East open to the Muslims Brotherhood, and doesn’t even seem concerned about Europe, or Putin.
At the emergency meeting of ambassadors from the 28 Nato member states, it was said: “Russia must stop its military activities and its threats.” The United States dramatically intensified pressure on Moscow, threatening to remove Russia from the G8 club of developed economies
There is a dirty little secret .shssssssssss. You might have figured it out by now, maybe…but frankly, because I watch the same cable networks as everyone else, it really didn’t dawn on me either, until I read this today:
The article was called Russian’s New Icon: (Time Magazine, November 9, 1998) Remember—by 1998 Russia had been defeated by Ronald Reagan, and Yeltsin the great American backed puppet, was a drunk, and so a man named Primakov became Prime Minister.
The Afghanistan war had depleted Russia of men and money, and the great Ronald Reagan saw an opportunity to defeat Russia when they were at their weakest, and he did. Russia broke up into little pieces.
Here’s the paragraph that struck me:
Though he seems every inch a disciplinarian, Primakov has not yet been able to shake the new government into shape. Ministers contradict one another in public. They unnerve the markets and the IMF with widely varying figures for the amount of new money that will have to be printed to keep the economy afloat.
Primakov cannot wave Russia’s current disaster away. Wages have to be paid on time, even if the government still cannot afford payment of back salaries for a while. the Nations’ idled factories have to start production again, even if they are not producing anything of great quality.
Sound familiar? This is what an American reporter was saying about Russia. Now, close you’re eyes, and that is America, 2014.
Now…we don’t get the real news from the world here in America. Sure, we have our internet, but FACEBOOK keeps most people occupied with their favorite dog picture. To the rest of the world, America has already collapsed…and it happened in 2008. Bush had spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan, 9/11 destroyed the economy more, the rich guys played casino, and we could have recovered…but then the second blow, came. A radical Marxist was elected, and he put the final nail in any recovery.
So now the tables are turned: Putin…like Reagan, sees a weak nation, with a communist sympathizer as its’ President. He trumped Obama in Syria, and he has been playing his cards carefully, getting surrounding nations dependent on Russia’s energy, and so, he knows it’s time: He wants to reunite the old Russia.
And Nobody will stop him. Not Europe, not Obama. Nobody. Because, we just don’t have the money, or the will of the American people.
What does our President do with the news? He just goes about his day…as if it’s no big deal. After all, from Obama’s point of view, he probably thinks he would do the very same thing as Putin.
And so the above speech was taken by us, and the rest of the world as a joke. My favorite part was when Obama said that the Ukraine people have a
“Universal right to decide their own future.”
Wow, from the lips of a hypocrite. Yes, Obama stands for everything he thinks you’ll fall for.
Does Obama let the America people decide their own future? Hell no. These are just platitudes that he doesn’t believe in. Obama has almost complete control over the media, with just FOX and talk radio holding him to account, (which he recently tried to take over with the FCC) and he has managed to make all Americans who do not want to become Russia, or communist, look like uncaring, unfeeling and backwards fools.
On George Stephanopoulos today, the communist Van Jones, (who was working for Obama before he lost his job thanks to Glenn Beck) could not stop attacking the tea party and how it’s backward, and weak. Almost the whole hour was spent on attacking Americans. Russia didn’t get much attention.
But…Russia is rising.
It’s very obvious, that the rest of the world has already seen America, as no longer on the world stage. Even Britain ignored Obama when he wanted their help on Syria.
Yes, it’s a secret…kept from the American people daily, Why we have global warming to worry about. Snow is everywhere.
America cannot stand up to Russia, or anybody anymore. We have left, like Russia before us, Iraq and Afghanistan in defeat. (Not our men, our leaders) Trillions spent for nothing. Good men and women lost forever.
Simply because both Bush and Obama were afraid to look…mean. They cared more about their appearances in history, (and their global corporate connections) than the survival of the country.
Both should be tried for treason, but that’s just my opinion.
Whether our politicians did this on purpose, or if they were just too busy watching their portfolios it hardly matters now.
Can America come back? Sure. Anything is possible. Russia, like America, has an older population, but he has the clear advantage because his army will not be filled with gays, pregnant women, and held to impossible directions to not “hurt the enemy.”
When the communist that is your enemy starts looking more like a leader than the communist leader of your own country, then your ass truly is in deep water.
Nobody Gets Email
Here’s something I don’t think about much, I admit. When I go shopping I’m usually in such a rush I don’t bother to take the time to read the labels. Maybe we should demand “Made in the USA” to be included on all our products. After reading this reminder, I’m going to start checking.
(Thanks to my liberal friend, JR)
ACE HARDWARE–Made in the USA
Unfortunately our politicians and top CEO’s (GE etc.( have pushed for trade to China and Mexico for years so Americans are now out of work. Did you know that there is no electric coffee maker made in the US and that the only kitchen appliances made in the U.S. is Viking?
I didn’t know Hallmark Cards were made in China! That is also why I don’t buy cards at Hallmark anymore, they are made in China and more expensive. I buy them at the Dollar Tree-50 cents and each made in the USA.
I have been looking at the blenders available on the internet. Kitchen Aid is made in the US. Top of my list already.
Yesterday I was in Wal Mart looking for a wastebasket. I found some made in China for $6.99. I didn’t want to pay that much so I asked the lady if they had any others. She took me to another department and they had some at $2.50 made in the USA. They are just as good. Same as a kitchen rug I needed. I had to look, but I found some made in the USA and they were $3.00 cheaper.
We are being brainwashed to believe that everything that comes from China and Mexico is cheaper. Not so. I was Lowe’s the other day and just out of curiosity, I looked at hose attachments. They were all made in China. The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in the USA.
My grandson likes Hershey’s candy. I noticed though that it is now marked “made in Mexico.” I don’t buy it anymore.
My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico. Now I have switched to Crest.
You have to read the labels.
This past weekend I was at Kroger…I needed 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to GE brand I normally buy, was an off-brand labeled “Everyday Value.” I picked up both types of bulbs and compared them: they were the same except for the price….
The GE cost more than the Everyday Value that are made right here.
So on to the next aisle, Bounce Dryer Sheets. Yes, you guessed it. Bounce costs more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand costs much less and is made in the USA. I did laundry yesterday AND the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years, at almost half the price.
MY CHALLENGE TO YOU Is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA. The job you save may be your won or your neighbor’s!
If you accept the challenge pass this on to OTHERS in your address Book so we can ALL start buying American, one light bulb at a time!
Stop buying from overseas companies–you’re sending the jobs there. We should have awakened a decade ago.
Let’s get with the program and help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the USA.
