Nobody's Opinion

The Ballad of the Absentee Ballot: You WILL Vote for it.

Nobody’s Opinionbankrupt america

Sitting on the desk in front of me is a flyer from my local City Council I found very in..ter..rest…ting. : In big green letters it said, :”Prop U (check) Prop S (check) August 5!

“Vote for life saving emergency services, high quality municipal services, a stable and safe city”.

They want us to vote for a 7% tax on utility use for ‘residential properties.’

Businesses, get a pass.

We have already received notice this year, that our water, waste, electric AND gas will get raise hikes very soon. The utility tax is to keep police and firemen. They are using the old fear tactic. It always works. Obama loves to use the “Social Security checks won’t go out! Veterans won’t get their paychecks!” Remember when he closed the parks during sequester, and then two days later sent billions to Egypt?

It’s all fake.

Yes, from Y2K to old ladies being pushed off cliffs by a Paul Ryan look alike,. FEAR always works.Pensions

My property tax has been raised every single year since I’ve lived here in the not-so-little town of Hazelwood, and yet, my properties value has decreased every year. Since the tax is suppose to be evaluated on the value of your property, I have never been able to figure out how they can keep rising it, but they do.

No doubt they are using Common Core math.

More about this amazing flyer later….First, the WHY we need our taxes raised:

Our new Mayor says he can’t balance the budget. You see, we used to have a huge Ford manufacturing plant here, but they moved to Mexico about 8 years ago. They raised our taxes then because of the loss, and they are still using that same old excuse as to why we need more taxes now. No doubt, they will use that excuse as long as the sun continues to shine.

The fact is, my little town of Hazelwood is no different than Detroit, or hundreds of other cities in the United States.

Sixty percent of the property tax in Hazelwood goes to fund the teachers union. HUGE administrative costs of government employees, whether fire, teachers, administrator, whatever, those pensions are breaking the city, not only here, but everywhere.

And let’s not talk about government salaries: The superintendent of the school district makes over $250,000 a year, and 400 of our students received scholarships worth over $15.3 million, and yet, the school ranks among the worst.

Go figure. cartoon on taxes

The HSD (Hazelwood School District) just got a $120 million dollars to redo the schools, and what did they do? They “lowered” some ceilings in some grade schools to make them more “energy” efficient. Added a few doors. The work they did might have added up to a million but $120? Not even close. It doesn’t matter, you can NEVER see where the money goes in America. And like all government, they make SURE they spend every single penny so as to get even more the next year.

And that’s not even the start of waste:

According to our monthly school report our schools are ‘feeding’ everybody. The principal of our local high schools said this:

“The Food 4 Thought program is comprised of food closets in three of our high schools. The program provides students who lack access to nutritious food at home with a reliable source of food for evenings, weekends and other breaks from school.”

(So, THIS is how they are going to feed the millions flooding our borders…the schools? Where the reporter on that?.)shock baby

Most of us are saying, “HEY! the State Lottery was suppose to go to the schools, the casinos money was going to schools, where the HECK IS that money going? “

Since I’ve lived here most of my life, I’ve witnessed the “change” which took decades, The poor blacks from the city were moved out to the country, on the taxpayers dime. Back in the 1950′s the whites moved from the city of St. Louis out to the suburbs. Then, slowly, the social engineers, working through the democratically elected officials, started moving the blacks from the city out to the north suburb, with Fannie and Freddie’s help. What was once mostly white neighborhoods, are now, mostly blacks.

And most of these blacks now run the schools. And teachers all have ($250,000) homes, and big salaries with big pensions. And the whites who stayed subsidized this ‘growth’ with their property taxes.

No doubt this was done in many major cities.

Now…we are subsidizing a Muslim school. My neighbors who once worked for the district said that we had to have 41 language teachers— that’s how ‘diverse” our city had become.

Is it any wonder America is bankrupt?

Am I bitter? You bet. It’s redistribution from the working class to the ‘poor’ and it’s been going on for years. And it’s not just the blacks that are acting like Obama on a sunny day, the whites are doing it too. Remember the story of the city officials in California who gave themselves salaries of $400,000?Clancy

  • The truth is America is sacrificing its future to pay for its past. To keep up with burgeoning pensions, states and cities are slashing services. It’s also feeding into the unemployment problem. For decades now, local governments have doled out patronage by increasing pension benefits – these costs impact the budget years later, when the officials who gave the benefits are safely retired themselves. We’re now having to reckon with those choices.

The government has an “official” debt of $15.8 trillion and mounting. But wait, there’s more. This doesn’t include the liability from Social Security and Medicare. When you factor these in, the amount according to some, exceeds $120 trillion. With U.S. Federal tax revenue of just over $2.3 trillion, that puts our debt-to-income ratio somewhere around 5,082%.

Greed abounds. Like the sinking Titanic EVERYONE is grabbing as much as they can as fast as they can.

But, back to why this flyer pisses me off so much—-

At the bottom of my City Council flyer there were two attached absentee ballot applications to make sure you can vote. If you can’t make it to the ballot box, you just sign these little cards, tear it out, and send it in! You don’t NEED to have your ballot notarized!

“We’re also included an extra application for a friend.”

Isn’t that sweet?

So, can I have my friend from El Salvador send one in? How easy! How fun! How open to fraud is this?absentee ballot

And I bet nobody thinks anything of it.

YES YOU CAN….in fact anyone can vote for the much needed tax increase.

I’m sure, somewhere in the Mayor’s office, there are some extra ballots that friends will fill out on election night.

This is not, America anymore. When your local government is run by ‘progressives’ you might as well move to Texas. Where you can I’m sure, if need be, go to the local schools and get free food. Move those illegal’s out of the way when you get to the apple pie.

After all…you paid for it.

Nobody’s Perfect: Kanye West VS IRS

Nobody’s Perfect

Watching a bad video is about as uncomfortable to me as having to wash hockey uniforms. And I watched both this stinkers this week.

Kanye West, the rich guy who has China slaves make his Nike’s, is complaining that the rich blacks are the New Slaves. I want to know how he got this video played all over the world. Paul McCartney, he’s not.

But first: Let’s take a look at our Gestapo IRS, trying to pass as a white man’s dance group:

We won’t discuss the fact that the IRS is comprised of 99% union Obama lovers, and we recently found out that they are now working for the slave master who everyone KNOWS ordered them to target all his enemies…and for that, the master gives them nice perks…like being able to take wonderful vacations, and make really stupid videos, that WE pay for.

This from Newsmax:

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service spent about $50 million on 220 conferences for employees from 2010 to 2012, according to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The cost of the agency’s conferences was released today by the committee, which is holding a hearing on the subject June 6. In one case, the IRS spent $4 million for an Anaheim, California, conference in 2010, where some stayed in rooms costing $1,500 to $3,500 a night and $135,000 was paid to outside speakers, including $17,000 for a lecture on “leadership through art.”

The General Services Administration was the subject of similar scrutiny last year for money it paid for employee conferences, including $823,000 on a Las Vegas event featuring a clown, a mind reader and a $75,000 bicycle building exercise. Some details of the Anaheim event were already known. The Star Trek video became public earlier this year, as did a parody of the 1960s television show “Gilligan’s Island.” The dance party video, which shows employees being instructed in line dancing ahead of the conference, was released by the House Ways and Means Committee on May 31.

First they rip us off, steal our money, and THEN make us watch them dance. Even Putin would not order such torture.

And then there’s Kanye: You don’t have to know much about music to know–this isn’t a music video. It’s a political hack job, used to incite riots in the black communities.  The words are really stupid, but I did like one line: (see words here) He complains that they give him contracts even though they know the “nigger don’t read.”

Hey…I’m just quoting him. He’s blaming them for the fact that he can’t read.

Kanye actually starts singing at 3.07. OMG….Where are the Temptations when you need them?

So whose video wins the Nobody’s Perfect award for the week?

The IRS. Even though, professionally speaking, they pay Kanye big bucks to ‘sing’ and he is so incredible bad at it, you have to wonder WHY he’s a star…the IRS does fifty times the damage that Kanye does. The IRS can’t dance, and I wish to God Kanye would learn how to sing. If Kanye’s a slave, then I sure would like to be one.

So Congratulation IRS! You win the Nobody’s Perfect award for the week.

This video is proof that we need to pass a flat tax and put them all out to rest…for good.

Got Any Money in the Cyprus Bank?

Nobody Reports

If you are a poor British retired soldier, living out your life on the Island of Cyprus, you woke up and found out that the EU, decided it was running out of money, and so, they “taxed” your savings.  They just reached inside your pocket like the good elite oligarchs they are, and grabbed what they felt they could.A customer walks out of a branch of Laiki Bank UK, in north London

If you are too late getting to the bank, the banks will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday because, they have a lot of pillaging to do.

Russian citizens account for the majority of the billions of Euros held in Cypriot banks by foreign depositors, and Russian banks are heavily exposed to the island as a favored offshore centre for big business. tired-looking Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund, appeared to have lost track of the calendar and wished weary reporters a “happy St Patrick’s Day” a full day early. She made no reference to a deposit levy, talking only of “burden sharing.” Several EU officials blamed Anastasiades for insisting on low contributions from uninsured deposits, hurting his country’s small savers to protect wealthy depositors, many foreigners. Under the new proposal, smaller depositors with up to €100,000 would be taxed at 3%; savers with €100,000 to €500,000 would be taxed at 10%; and those with more than €500,000 at 15%. despite all the promises, your savings are vulnerable to arbitrary confiscation.

But have heart! Those deposits could have been rendered even more worthless when the ECB cuts off its funding to Cypriot banks, a decision which would — through devaluation and insolvency — lead to depositors losing as much as 60% of their money.

Well, it’s the same old song isn’t it? “We must all share the burden.” and “It could have been so much worse.” The elites of the world, who continue to tax and steal money from the rest of us, are basically saying: Hey…we only took off your legs..it could have been worse..we could have KILLED you!Cypress

In the meantime, Japan will begin pumping huge amounts of yen into the economy, and our own Federal Reserve is pumping money too.

There seems to be more to it than simply wanting money. It’s the Russians that are going to be hurt the most…because they are sending Naval ships to the region.

Russia is helping Syria, and are sending Navel ships into the area. Simply put… they can’t get into Syria as long as this money stream is flowing through Cyprus. And the reason Cyprus is suffering…is also due to a very expensive explosion in 2011 which cost them billions:
Ruskies have at least 50 billion euros stalled in Cyprus. They have open storage on the base were 98 containers of explosives that had been seized by the United States Navy in 2009 after it intercepted a Cypriot-flagged, Russian owned vessel, the MV Monchegorsk travelling from Iran to Syria in the Red Sea. According to leaked US cables through Wiki Leaks, released in 2011, the US through Hillary Clinton exerted pressure on Cyprus to confiscate the shipment. The ship was escorted to a Cypriot port and the Cyprus Navy was given responsibility for the explosives, which it moved to the Evangelos Florakis a month later. At the time of the incident in 2011, the explosives had apparently been left in the open for over two years. The Cypriot government had declined offers from Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States to remove or dispose of the material, having feared an adverse reaction from Syria. The government had instead requested that the UN effect the removal, but claimed that its request had been rejected.

While the average American doesn’t get much news about the EU…we can only imagine how we would feel if we woke up one day…went online, and found out our “savings” had been taxed.

Obama has been looking at a way to “borrow” from our 401K’sand Pensions plans. Could our government be thinking about doing the same thing?

After Obamacare, we’d be foolish not to think so.

King Put Makes Another Speech

Nobody Wins

You have to hand it to the Democrats. Day after day, they all stay on message:

It’s those men rich Republicans that are destroying the middle class. Why, according to Obama’s last speech, if the Congress doesn’t let him get rid of the loopholes he wants…(translation, taxes) the middle class will fall so far off the face of the earth, China won’t recognize any of them when they fall through the earth and come climbing out of the hole on the other side. kris 6

Once again, he put the FEAR of Armageddon, into every man and women listening: mother’s dying, babies not going to school, teachers will be out of work and will have to buy shotguns to keep the unemployed Pentagon workers from their front porch. No more vaccines, No more aircraft carriers, no more FBI. Even longer lines, and more assaults at the airports…

And he will have to cut some of his vacations..

Wait. He didn’t say that.

Of course, it’s Obama that is putting the final nail, the last burrito, the last bite into the ever dwindling, fast disappearing, soon to be history, middle class— but he so cleverly blames the other guys.

He is so ABOVE us all…playing golf with Tiger Woods, while his wife vacations in Aspen, holding up airspace…lunching with bigwigs in the Oil business…

Sharing the best prostitutes money can buy with Tiger after hours.

What? You think Tiger has stopped the sex addiction? Doesn’t Obama play golf with a man who was busted for prostitution? Remember Bobby Titcomb? Does a President play with a man busted for a prostitution ring because he likes the way the guy plays golf?Obama & Bobby

Wait. He couldn’t have done that! If Obama and Tiger were having a private party with prostitutes why the press would be all over it! Just like they were all over John Kennedy and all his daily afternoon prostitutes, right?

And the Republicans just can’t seem to muster even a few spitballs. John Boehner did try to take a blow at Obama, but he did it in the Wall Street Journal.

( Okay, just how many WORKING Americans read the Wall Street Journal?)

Boehner said in a Wall Street Journal editorial that Republicans already have compromised on their side, sending to Obama significant tax hikes for Americans.

“The president got his higher taxes – $600 billion from higher earners, with no spending cuts – at the end of 2012. He also got higher taxes via Obamacare. Meanwhile, no one should be talking about raising taxes when the government is still paying people to play videogames, giving folks free cell phones, and buying $47,000 cigarette-smoking machines,” he wrote.

And Rush said THIS:

“The ultimate objective of all of this is to spend MORE. The ultimate objective of all of this is to frighten everybody everywhere about what will happen if you cut a DIME from the federal budget,” Limbaugh said. “This is all about moving the ball forward under the premise that the government must grow and continue to grow if you are to have any chance in life at all. … The secondary objective is for Obama to continue to be seen as the outsider, not governing, he’s the outsider campaigning, trying to prevent this disaster, when in truth, it’s his policies that are causing it.”

And Rand Paul said THIS:

“I mean, for goodness sakes, it was his proposal. He proposed the sequester, it was his idea. He signed it into law, now he’s going to tell us that, ‘Oh, it’s all our fault?’” Paul said. “I voted against the sequester because I didn’t think it was enough.”King Put

Strong stuff…true stuff, and yet, Obama goes on vacation…and comes back, to give a speech and says,

“I will never sign a plan that harms the middle class”

Yeah…spoken like a true King Put.

Salute to the Obama Voters Who Forgot to Think…

Nobody CaresObama cares

Today is dedicated to the millions of Obama voters that believed every single lie that came out of his lips: You found out today, that–HEY…you must be rich! Because, uh…you just got &%^$.

Middle-class workers will take a bigger hit to their income proportionately than those earning between $200,000 and $500,000 under the new fiscal cliff deal, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.  Workers making $30,000 will take a bigger hit on their pay than those earning $500,000 under new fiscal deal

It’s all about how much Obama CARES about you. And so, to show you that getting rid of your guns, and how upset he was when he heard that four men had been killed in Benghazi, he has released photo’s…also for your enjoyment…pictures of himself enjoying the vacation in Hawaii that you are generously giving him. Obama cares twoObama swimming 2012

Yes, Obama looks out for the rich! And he IS rich! He’s spent $20 million so far on his Hawaii vacation, and it will be close to a billion before he’s finished with us.

But…Nobody Cares about how much HE spends or takes from us, do they?

Or else, they wouldn’t love him so much.

So, here’s a toast to the Useful idiots! Comrades…next time…THINK.Forgot to thinnk

Hey! The fiscal cliff is…counting down…FIVE, FOUR…THREE…THREE and a half…THREE and Two-Quarters…Three and..

Read it…and then think about all the NEW taxes that are coming our way!

We may beat France yet!

This is too true to be funny. The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the politicians spending YOUR tax money.taxes two

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but on advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B. A billon minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C.  A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D. A billion days ago no one walked on the earth on two feet.

E.  A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain…let’s take a look at New Orleans…It’s amazing what you can learn with some simple division.taxes three

Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu (D) was asking Congress for 250 billion dollars to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number. What does it mean?

A. Well…If you are one of the 487,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) $516, 528.

B. OR…If you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your home gets $1, 329, 787

C. OR…If you are a family of four…Your family gets $2,066,012.

Still Think This is Funny?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago…and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt…

We had the largest middle class in the world…

And Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened?  Can you spell…”Politicians” !

And I still have to press 1 for English. I hope this goes around the USA at least 100 times.

What the hell has happened to our country?

Government Theft: Comes in Many Forms

Nobody Wins

One thing that is amazing: EVERY person I saw interviewed on TV this past week,  was absolutely SURE they had the winning Powerball ticket. That’s a funny thing, isn’t it? As if just believing you have it, makes it happen.

Well…I think there’s more than wishful thinking on this one. I remember the ONLY time I won off a lottery ticket was at an Arby’s restaurant. Yes, you could order a roast beef sandwich and get your lottery ticket. I was standing in line, and I was thinking to myself—-

“Mm…I DESERVE to win on thousand dollars. Hey dad. (my dad had just passed away, you have to start SOMEWHERE…not being really sure if God had the time at the moment.) You know, I could use the money. Brett could use some toys for Christmas. “

As I kept talking to myself I thought…Hey, why not just go for it! I’m going to just put my psychic ability into it.

I walked up to the counter where a young, black, 16-year-old boy asked me what I wanted.

“I’ll take a roast beef, coke, and a the winning lottery ticket.” I said.

He picked out two…and he said, “Which one do you want?”

“That one” I said as I pointed to his right hand. “And THAT is going to be a thousand dollar ticket…you are a witness.”

He gave me the ticket, I scraped it off right in front of him, and you should have seen his eyes, when I showed it to him. Sure enough. It was a $1,000 scratch off. I had won.

Now, this was long ago…long before the big Megamillions and Powerballs of today. I often wondered if I DID influence the outcome…or if it was just sheer luck. They put my picture up on the wall at Arby’s for a month. “Lotto winning ticket sold here!”  But, I only saw about $600 of that thousand. I ended up buying a cheap hot tub, with money I had already saved. My son already had enough toys.

Now…in a fair world, the government shouldn’t take more than HALF of that $500 million…but by the time all the politicians have taken millions out of your piggy bank, you end up with less than half. You can’t say anymore that you won $500 million, because it would be a lie. Somehow they end up richer than you. And where does that money go?

Nobody Knows. And Nobody Wins when Nobody Cares that a government can literally  steal your winnings from you….and not just once, but for the rest of your life.

How long are we all going to put up with it? They KEEP us poor, and then, when the poor play the lottery as the only way to get out of their poverty, they take it away.

That’s why…they are charging $2 now for a ticket. Expect it…the price will go up.

In the meantime…good luck everyone! You’re going to need it becasue…I have the winning ticket!

Hey…it worked once before!

(LoL)

Nobody’s Fool: Tom Beebe

Nobody’s Fool: Tom Beebe

When I first started blogging…in 2000, I started this idea about having a website where ordinary citizens could post their ideas. Being ignorant about the cost of starting a “website” and how much money it costs, I ended up just blogging under the NOBODY logo’s. I wanted to have different sections: One where all nobodies everywhere could post their ideas about our country, our society, and their own experiences.

It seemed to me then, and still does, that the ordinary person, doesn’t get his ideas out in to the public domain. The internet has changed that somewhat, but the mainstream media is controlled by the government and their sponsors. Imagine if regular working (or unemployed) Americans from all over the country had their own television show, where they could give their ideas a go, which was NOT controlled by any station?

We won’t see that in my lifetime. Everything is controlled.

Someday, perhaps, I could start a website like this up, so until then, I will present some of your ideas whenever you like…like now.

Tom Beebe is one of those “nobodies” who has a lot of ideas on how to fix our TAX system.

Here it is: Give it a read, it’s pretty good. And…Tom requests feedback on his idea…I personally know a few of you out there have financial minds: Amfortas, Pattie? Give Tom’s idea a read and please comment!

 Tom Beebe’s Tax reform:

The federal government shall collect no taxes other than provided in this act and make no payment except in return for goods or services rendered to it, or as provided for in this act. There shall be no federal tax any business.

All persons shall come together in households to report all income and to receive federal benefits. They need not be related, need not reside together, and a household may consist of as few as one person.

Each year congress shall set a “minimum wage” and a “tax rate”, which in turn will be applied to the previous year’s reported incomes to determine the budget of the government.

The following income shall be exempt from taxation:

An amount equal to a year’s earnings at the minimum wage rate, for adults (age 20-65), decreasing 10% per year to 50% at age 15, and increasing 10% per year to 150% at age 70.

Payments for necessary health care including pharmaceuticals prescribed by a recognized health care professional, and vision and hearing aids. Health care insurance premiums may be deducted but not health care expense paid for by such insurance.

Educational expense including day care, that portion of state and local taxes identified as spent on education, that portion of parochial school expenses identified as going for non-sectarian education, and private school education at any level.

Income saved into an account from which investments may be made. All withdrawals from this account for the benefit of any member of the household are taxable.Withdrawals that are not for a members’ benefit are exempt from taxation.

The “tax rate” shall be applied to any income over and above the deductions listed above, regardless of amount. When deductions exceed income, the government shall make payment to the household equal to the tax rate times the deficiency.

The Captain Jack of Johnny Depp

Nobody Flashes

Johnny Depp it seems, has finally come into his real Captain Jack senses. Since France is determined to grab 75 percent of the “wealthy” in France, and Obama wants to basically, do the same…Jack is having to realized that maybe he should stay in America.

Johnny, who has houses in France, the US, and the Bahamas…will end up with no money, and he is not sure he likes it. He used to bash America, but now he is softening the blows.

“Well, I kind of do (live in America). I’m between wherever I end up on location, and then the States. (I left because) France wanted a piece of me. They wanted me to become a permanent resident. Permanent residency status—which changes everything. They just want …Dough Money…I’m certainly not ready to give up my American citizenship.”

Depp explains that if he spends more than 183 days a year in France he will have to pay income tax in both Europe and America, adding, “So you essentially work for free.”

Why did he move to France? Because he once said he would like his children to “See America as a toy, a broken toy, investigate it a little, check it out, get this feeling and then get out.”

So, here’s what Nobody Wonders: If Obama is reelected, Johnny will have to move to somewhere where his money is not taxed.

Will Johnny move to Hong Kong…or be voting for Mitt Romney?

That secret will go deep into Johnny Jones’ locker, but this Nobody does Wonder how many other movie stars will be moving back to America. They all love socialism as long as they don’t have to pay.

The IRS Wins the Gold for Greed!

Nobody Wins

We Americans  are SO proud of our Olympic Athletics…and we should be. The cost of training for the Olympics is not cheap. After all, we’re not China. Our kids have to pay their way entirely on their own.

And most of them are not rich:  2012 Olympic athlete Cyrus Hostetler (javelin thrower) states on his personal website, “Sometimes the competition that I face is not the competition on the track but rather the competition of finances, and every year it’s a losing battle. When you total up all the cost of coaching, trainers, medical, equipment, and travel expenses my monthly paycheck just doesn’t add up.” He made a total of $2,273 for throwing a javelin in 2011.

This stinks. Here in America, we find out that we can overpay big, fat, government workers who have never lifted anything heavier than a Starbucks latte, to give themselves million dollar bonuses and expensive vacations on OUR dime, and that’s after they’ve ruined the country: and yet, we tax the success of the kids who work hard all their lives just to get the chance to represent America in the Olympics one day.

What?

Nobody Knew that our Olympic Athletics had to pay taxes on the gold metals they get. Tell me…did Obama have to pay taxes on his Nobel Peace Prize money? Oh…He donated that million dollars to some charity?

Must be nice to be President and have all your expenses paid by the taxpayers, so that you can give money to charities.

The Athletes at the Olympics represent us as surely as any ambassador or President, so why in the world are we punishing their success with a heavy TAX?

Fire some of the GSA idiots and give our Olympic kids government jobs to train to become future Olympians, or teach Olympians .I don’t’ think there would be ONE taxpayer that would complain.

Athletes who win a gold medal also earn a $25,000 honorarium — and with it a $8,986 tax bill to the IRS, according to Americans for Tax Reform, which crunched the numbers. That covers both the honorarium and the tax on the value of the gold in the medal itself.

The silver medal tax comes to $5,385, and the bronze medal tax is $3,502 — including $2 for the value of the bronze medal itself, and the $10,000 honorarium. All told, U.S. athletes have 57 medals — 28 golds, 18 silvers and 19 bronzes — which comes to a tax bill of nearly $350,000

ATR, the group that crunched the numbers, said it’s unlikely any of America’s competition will face the same taxes because the U.S. “is virtually the only developed nation that taxes ‘worldwide’ income earned overseas by its taxpayers.”

Unless of course you are GE..or have a Cayman Island account.

So…the more you achieve, the more you are punished.
Yep, that sounds like Obama’s America.

Marco Rubio is trying to get this nonsense stopped. Let’s hope he succeeds.

To Honor This Infamous Day in Tax History….

Nobody Remembers

To honor this infamous day in the history of the biggest tax increase in a nation’s history, (Obamacare upheld by the Supreme Court) I give you…

The perfect song…with a few added words by George Harrison.

Go ahead…sing along.

Also, remember, these two men George Harrison and Eric Clapton married the SAME woman, and here they were still playing guitar like old friends, after they both remarried.

Makes you wonder doesn’t it?

Nobody’s Perfect: The Southside Chicago Parenting Style of the Obamas

Nobody’s Perfect

While President  “I deserve to be reelected” Obama, and his wife “I teach my children Southside Chicago Values” Michelle, are actually in the White House for the next few hours, their daughter Malia is down in Mexico with the rest of the 1% mostly white rich kids who come from all the elite colleges,  to party on spring break.

Our own country is not near exotic enough for the sex and beer orgies of the college kids anymore, and since NAFTA is all about free trade, our rich parents now send their kids down to Mexico to party.

But wait…Malia is not a college kid. She’s 13. (Malia Ann Obama – initials MAO, like Communist China’s Chairman MAO. ) Evidently she has reached puberty and so mom and dad decided to let her go take 12 of her friends and join in the college Mexican orgy of sex and beer….at our expense.

WTF? Says the average American who cannot afford to even send their kids to college let alone to Mexico to party. And WTF? How much is this going to cost the taxpayers?

Here’s a response from a reader at Glenn Beck’s site:

This is the most absurd thing from the White House and Marie Antoinette wannabe yet. A 13-year-old needs to go on spring break on the taxpayer dime when there are children who are too hungry to go school and people who cannot afford the gas to drive their children to McDonalds. Sorry, my mistake, McDonalds is poison, Mexico – safe haven. This is immoral. What a spoiled little rich brat. I don‘t give a tinker’s dam about her safety that’s a problem for the Marxist in Chief and Marie Antoinette junior. The entitlement mentality is in the genes. What a direct slap in the face to the American people. The rich should pay more taxes right? Let’s decrease the presidential travel budget for the most arrogant unfeeling piece crap God ever put on earth. What a joke these people are and to Mexico of all places. Then again, why not. Fast and furious kingpin Obama and Holter are in bed with the Mexican drug cartel. The mafia princess will be safe.

Nobody SAYS: I love reading other people’s opinion. As you can see, most of America is appalled that any parent would send their daughter to witness a drunken sex orgy, even WITH 25 body guards. (Come on..how much are we paying the whole Mexican police force?)

Not to mention, if anything happens to the President’s daughter, we would have to fork out millions to save her. OR worse, go to war for his mistakes.

Michelle Obama told David Letterman recently that she has passed her Southside Chicago values on to her children. So, we can assume that Southside Chicago values include making sure your daughter experience  her budding sexuality in the finest manner: Sex is good. Getting drunk is fun: and it’s your body MAO , so be sure you have contraception, you don’t want to be burdened with a baby at 13.

No, as parents, most of us would agree that Michelle and Barack are not good role models, but as you can see—liberals believe that they are special: they want their children to experience all the life that they possibly can. Want to sit on a snake baby? Okay! Want to sit on an alligator? Okay! Want to go to the dangerous country Mexico and pick up boys! Okay!

Our own state department warns Americans about going to Mexico:

“Crime and violence are serious problems throughout the country and can occur anywhere. U.S. citizens have fallen victim to TCO activity, including homicide, gun battles, kidnapping, carjacking and highway robbery.”

UPDATE: AND—a 7.5 earthquake just hit 119 miles north of where Malia is staying.

Good thing Obama told the press to take down the story on his daughter…since we are paying for the trip, Americans would like to know how much fun Malia had screaming while the ground beneath her rocked back and forth. We would like to know if those Southside Chicago values told her how to survive an Earthquake.

I doubt it. But you can be sure that one of the Southside Chicago Values is this:Spend as much of everybody else’s money as you possibly can because someday, their money will be gone.

Right MAO?

Tom Beebe’s Tax Reforms

Nobody Gets Email

As many of may or may not know, this dribble the Congress is doing about Bush’s tax cuts staying in our paychecks is going to make us all very happy campers, what they are NOT mentioning is the malicious taxes that are going to go sky-high as soon as Obama is out of office, in 2013. It wasn’t just Obama that did Obamacare, and there should be some kind of law saying that a sitting President and Congress cannot pass laws and taxes, which only kick in AFTER the next election.

HA!

What do you expect? Decency? Honesty? Representatives of the people? We have a liar of great magnitude for a President, and a Congress that is just as bad. Perry’s right…they should all stay home.

This was sent to me by a NOBODY who has given a decent proposal, for serious tax reform. It shares a few shades of commonality with Herman Cain I believe, but it’s his own idea. I’m sure he would appreciate any comments that you would like to give on his ideas.

(Thanks to Tom Beebe for sending this in.)

Part One

A PLAN TO REFORM TAXES AND ENTITLEMENTS

What is, to YOU, a fair tax plan? How can “entitlements”, including welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, be improved? Consider these ideas and please tell me your thoughts on them.  You can make this plan even better, and you can send it on to your Senators and congressmen to influence their votes.Americaneeds something better, something more honest, and above all something we can all understand.  Please send your thoughts to me too.

Tom Beebe                                                     -or-                  tbeebe6535@yahoo.com

This is a proposal to replace all federal taxes and transfer payments, also known as “entitlements” with a single act. Please understand that “all federal taxes” includes many that we pay each day, such as the tax on each gallon of gasoline, or the corporate taxes which are paid each time you purchase a product or service from a corporation; where else but from you, their customer, do corporations get money to pay taxes? Furthermore, these taxes are multiplied many times on their way from the source of the product to you. Taxes are paid by the retailer with whom you trade. He, in turn, pays his supplier taxes as part of the price of his purchases, and on down the road. You have a right to know, and will be astonished to know, how much you are paying in taxes. This plan is an attempt to reveal that amount by consolidating all taxes into one payment. Remember that by eliminating the hidden taxes, the cost of your purchases will come down drastically.  This is one of two ways this plan is aggressively “progressive”, a term describing taxes which are easier on the lower income households who spend a greater part of their income. The second element of this “progressivity” is the large personal exemptions.

The annual personal exemption is set as 2000 times the minimum hourly wage (2000 = 50 weeks times 40 hours per week). We have adopted a minimum wage as the least a worker should receive for his efforts.  How, then, can we justify taking some of that sum from him in taxes? This exemption is allowed for every adult (20-65) in your household, and is reduced in steps for those younger, and increased in steps for those older, recognizing the differences in the cost of living to these on the opposite ends of the age span. This formula may be too much or too little as the economy changes, so the plan requires Congress to reset the wage each year, In that “resetting”, Congress will be determining the federal budget, which will be forever balanced. Actually, because Congress has overspent for decades, the plan uses the past year’s taxable income times the new flat tax rate, also set each year. Result? As long as the economy grows (as it does almost every year), a modest surplus will develop to pay off the debt over a period of many years. When the economy grows rapidly, the amount taken out to repay the debt is larger; in a recession, that amount is smaller, as is the budget for government spending.

Now beyond “transparency” the idea that you ought to know what taxes you’re paying, and “progressivity”, the idea that taxes ought to be paid (more) by those more able to pay them, what other modification to the idea of everyone paying the same, the “fair share” of taxes should be part of the plan? It’s reasonable that government policy should be designed to maximize growth, again for two reasons.  First, “growth”, an increase in the wealth from which we all share, is in the interest of all. Second, growth means an increasing tax base. That in turn means more money to pay for legitimate government expenditures, like roads, law enforcement and other services without an increase in the tax rate. If this growth in the tax base exceeds the growth in the cost of government services, we’re getting more for the same portion of your income. We all want that.

What contributes to that growth? “Crony capitalism” and corruption   resulted in a lot of special deals that contribute to the growth represented by and for special interests. A plan good for no special interest is good for us all. This plan suggests three things are of universal value in assisting growth. Those three are education, health care and investment. So this plan exempts those three expenses from taxable income. It does so broadly, so that government is not telling you what educational choices you make, what health care (and health care insurance) you buy, and what investments you make, (and charity is an investment). You can make those choices better than can Washington.

Many states and cities have been getting into financial trouble. It is not the Federal government’s duty to bail them out, or even correct the practices that got them in trouble. But if this plan makes sense, if it could correct the revenue problems that the other levels of government have encountered, then the federal government can help them out by making the plan available, optionally, to them. But the feds should not impose anything on those other levels of government.

Finally, after all the exemptions are taken, some will have more exemptions than deductions. Should they be helped, and to what extent? Consider calculating aid by multiplying their shortfall by the flat tax rate. As with taxes, their assistance will be reviewed by and adjusted as part of the budget process each year. That way, everybody pays the same rate from top, the “billionaires” to bottom, the least among us. For those whose income exceeds exemptions, they pay taxes equal to the rate times the excess.  For the least among us, their income supplement, replacing Welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and other “entitlements”, is reduced at the same rate. Is this fair to all?

Finally, if you have read plans that embrace sales or value-added taxes in lieu of or in addition to income taxes such as this, consider that an unlimited exemption for savings makes this plan exactly like s sales tax; if what you save is exempt, then you’re only paying taxes on what you spend.
