GE Wants YOU to Save a Baby Elephant

–that one of the reasons we are so easily manipulated into getting used to accepting this global warming nonsense, is the very smart way they advertise. Nobody does it better than America.
If you want to sell something, put a cute baby animal into the picture. In this case, GE’s brillint ad for new energy just about makes you think that IF you buy an electric car, some cute little baby elephant will be dancing in the rainforest!
You want to change the world? Get a cute baby of anything to sell the idea that YOU..have nothing but sweet and gentle motives for the American people, and the planet.Â
The trouble is: this stuff works.
Watch as this cute baby elephant (cleverly dancing to Benny Goodman)Â brings up memories of AMERICAN FACTORIES that are NOT here anymore!
Okay, I will say no more….except this:
I wish someone would make another commerical with a herd of MAMA elephants that would go trashing through the solar panels, smashing them by the sheer force of their weight, AND THEN–the herd would go through a store that sells  GE’s new lightbulbs, and the whole herd would take part in trampling  them to little bits with their feet, (while the store employees run for their lives) AND THEN— they would stampede those cute little elecrtical parking meters to oblivion, all the while chasing Al Gore and Jeffery Immelt, back to the forest, to the tune of WIPE OUT.
In the last scene the cute little baby elephant would run to get under Mama Elephant’s legs, and hold up an Edison’s lightbulb…and it would light!
And baby elephant would …smile! While Mama patted him on the head.
Hollywood has lost it’s sense of humor.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

Now, we find out Rick, that Ethanol helped cause this starvation in Egypt…Mmmm…I’m with you. They are FORCING us into all these new technologies that are not working so well…I’ll believe in solar energy when I walk around the block and can actually SEE the ones on the lawns. They are about as bright as a firefly. NO. A firefly is brighter.
But you have it all figured out Rick. And yeah…I love that commerical too…damn it.

I received so many wrong number calls for the same guy, I programmed their numbers in my phone so I can answer, “I`m still not Jason!” It got laughs and apologies and fewer mis-dialed calls.

I’m sorry…What’s funny is I was just reading an ad about Green TeaElixir: what is the world’s biggest complaint? (besides not being about to afford $4,200 dollars for a Superbowl ticket? )
It’s “fatigue, mental exhaustion, and stress.”
You think I’m bad about names, you should see me when I try to cook. I can burn water. Not many people have that talent.
The bad news is the TEA elixir is $30.00 for a 2 oz bottle. ….how MUCH do you need? In my case…a bottle a day. I’m doomed.
And I’m also NOT PERFECT, (okay, that’s no excuse) but incredibly happy that Doug Power’s very brillant commentators have a great sense of humor!
Maybe I should just call everyone Shirley. …like that guy “Rick” says.

Hollywood certainly has lost its sense of humor, but you havn`t !
Actually, I`ve seen this commercial and more like it, and I think they`re cute ! It`s a good thing the truth is well known so I`m not fooled so easily ! While I don`t have a problem with the technologies these greenies are pushing, it`s the pushing that burns me up ! If people want something, it`s a free country, for a while longer, go for it ! But don`t push it on people and kill other technologies and fuel sources before these are proven to be SELF-SUSTAINING ! And look deep, the real push isn`t really about the environment at all, it`s about a “different” group of people gaining power and control and the fortune that comes with it !
If these “new” energy sources were so popular and in demand (most have been around for decades or even centuries), why aren`t people snatching them up and forcing their manufacturers to expand their facilities at unprecedented rates ? That would tell me that people are behind the ideas !
About a year ago, a new 15 acre solar field opened up, located on an old landfill, that powers 25 houses, part of the time . The old power co. is still hooked up for night time and extra-cloudy days. That`s 6/10 acre per house and $210.00 per month for part of the total power bill ! Sorry, I`m just not entirely impressed !
And don`t get me started on ethanol fuel and those stupid screw-tailed light bulbs, I HATE THEM !!
