Nobody Knows
I’m sorry. I was looking at a recent medical bill that was sent to the house, and I wondered just who is getting this rich? It was from a lab called Quest, and the chargers were for simple blood tests, of which, because my husband has medical insurance through his work, he only had to pay $11.20. But LOOK at the charges:
LIPID Panel $169.43
Venipuncture $36.00
Prostate Specific $169.86
CBC, PLT, DIFF $52.05
Comprehen Metabolic Panel $100.75
Hemoglobin Glyhcosylated $84.95
TOTAL? $613.44
Tell me? What do they have to do? Kill the pig outside? Does Gates own Quest? Why should insurance companies have to pay so MUCH for simple lab tests? I don’t get it. President Trump has signed an order to get our prices lowered, but really, ANY procedure you do…SOMEBODY is paying way too much…you can’t tell me after all these years, those simple lab tests cost THAT much money. But then again, it all costs too much. Obamacare came in and tripled the price of everything.
Let’s hope our President can make a dent in this insanity before he leave office.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.
