Nobody's Opinion

Nobody Loves Larry the Cable Guy

Nobody’s Fool
 ***
America, this is an alert.
 ***
If you have been watching Bill Maher, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and are just about as burnt out as I am, there is an alternative…Larry the Cable Guy.
 ***
This is a no-brianer folks. I must admit, I have never missed a Glenn Beck program, but today, just because I had to sit by the phone waiting for a call, (for four hours) I starting watching Larry the Cable Guy in his new, Only In America program on the History Channel. Larry is a man that Bill Maher wouldn’t even bring himself to walk on the same sidewalk with. He is the fly-over redneck that every liberal in the world wouldn’t be caught dead with.
***
Now…I’ve learned a lot from Glenn,  but for all his wonderful lessons on the founders and the sad state of our affairs, he leaves us with little hope…he’s great, but I feel like having a tequila afterwards. I’m always talking to the TV and saying, “Sure, I’ll stock up on food when I get the MONEY to stock up on food Glenn, but this week’s grocery bill won’t let me.”
***
Larry’s program does just the opposite –it lifts you up high…and I was trying to figure out why. Why do I not feel any hope when watching Glenn, and loads of it when I was watching Larry?
***
I think it’s because Glenn, shows off…Glenn. Larry, shows us…ourselves, and our history. Yeah, I know, Glenn teaches us that too, but Larry lets the American people tell us. and it just sticks more.  Larry praises EVERYTHING good about America, down to its last greasy spoonful of corn dogs at the Texas State Fair. He is showing us why we should try to preserve it. He gives us stuff we know is there, but forget. Yes, Larry is doing something that no other person is doing. Sure, it’s been done before, but not by one of us. It was always by some elite, who looks down on the American people as some kind of bug to be examined.
 ***
Larry is the working man. He is taking us all on a trip around America and showing us…ourselves. The families, the businesses, and the true American spirit that is still out there. He follows people around in their jobs. While watching his show today, I learned how to catch a croc, how to ice fish, how they make fireworks, and how at some hospital in America, the black janitors SING to the patients, and the little newborn babies when they’re leaving.
 ***
Larry takes us along while he gets haircut from a nun at a minor league game. Sure, there are some off colored jokes, but it’s all in good fun. It’s the old American humor where you can make fun of anyone and it’s a bonding experience because no one takes it seriously. Old ladies and old guys are put on camera…respect given to them all. When was the last time you saw that?
***
And in this world where men can be fired for making a joke about their testitcles, Larry’s jokes are a refreshing change, where women know it’s all in good fun. Larry lets the guys be guys, and you know, the sex jokes are really funny.
 ***
After watching Larry today, I swear, if I had one day to live in my life and I had to make a choice as to who I would spent it with…Glenn Beck or Larry the Cable Guy, I’d be eating watermelon with Larry and seeing who could spit the seeds into the can the quickest. Sarah Palin ought to put him on her road show.
 ***
Larry is Nobody’s Fool. He has found a way to tell a good joke, and deliver us back to having faith in our heritage, our people and our history at the same time, because we all know, the television never shows us…ourselves. The elites are embarressed by a man who can kill a deer and make a jacket out of it’s hide. That’s how dumb they are. And that’s why they keep the independent American off.
***
So, Larry…if you’re listening..”GET IT DONE BOY!” Nobody loves ya!
***
Nobody Says: Hey, Bill Maher, Larry new program is eating you for lunch! What’ s that? You’re giving me the finger? You giving AMERICA the finger? Why don’t you move somewhere less…American.
***
Somewhere…like France.
