Foreign Aid: NOT Cominig to Your Neighborhood Soon

Here’s one of the main reasons we are in such bad shape: Foreign Aid. Ted Poe (R-Texas) makes a good point for every single one of us. In fact, I received this video from my very liberal friend.
Why do we give foreign aid to so many countries, and then decide to cut money from our older citizens and soldiers FIRST?
Why are we giving money to people who hate us?
Nobody Thinks it’s because the big multinational companies want into the world markets, and that is the price “we” pay for them to be allowed to “enter.” Other countries want cash up front….and our politicians will not get their big campaign monies if they do not do what they are being elected to do.
And why is this not being discussed in Congress? Can’t we cut here? You bet we can…and you can bet—we won’t.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

‘Foreign aid’ is a scam that replaced the old British idea of Empire, in which Britain poured billions into other Commonwealth nations to bring them up to speed, and gained a trade and ‘family’ connection.
America did not ‘approve’ of ‘Empire’ and set about replacing the 19C and early 20C british influence with its own expansionism. This included ‘foreign aid’, which most western nations have been cajoled into copying.
We have the ludicrous situation now of the so-called wealthier countries giving money to so-called poorer ones, which is really the transfer of poor people’s taxes at home into wealthy people’s pockets overseas.. Wealthy Britain, for example, gives $Millions aid to poor India which has nuclear weapons and a space program! 20 million Australians give $ Billions to Indonesia with its 180 million population and GDP that leaves ours cold.
It is madness.
I am all for helping the poor. I get little choice in which poor though and how much I have taken from my wallet to give to them.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul, is a great idea from Paul’s POV. But it sure pisses off this Peter.
