Go Ahead…BUY the Bullets from China…

Nobody Gets Email:

I love it when my liberal friends send me stuff about guns. I own a shotgun, but I’d like to have one of these. Many of my friends who do a lot of hunting, have told me that bullets of any kind are getting hard to come by, so be careful what you buy…you might not be as lucky as this guy was.

 ****

Check this out….44 Magnum accident. First it was baby formula, then pet food, but now you should watch out when buying anything from China, including bright shiny ammunition.

A guy came into the police department the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 (.44 Mag) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo (Chinese made) and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweedy birds cleared from around his head, the pictures show that what he saw.

Bet he never uses Chinese made ammo again! Looks like when the round in the chamber went off, it also set off at least two other rounds in adjacent cylinders. I would have hated to been the one that pulled the trigger on that one! Really good reason for not buying cheap ammunition, or anything from China. They are proving this statement to be true:

You get what you pay for.

  2. I used to be a whizz with a short Lee-Enfield, surely one of the finest rifles ever made. .303, Bolt action. Never, EVER misfired. Never jammed. Never missed! And what you could do with it on a Parade ground was a marvel. Even with a big British bayonet.

    Rule 303 covered most contingencies.

My hand-gun was also a very reliable piece. A Browning automatic, 9mm. It is astonishing how it can make a chap at least two inched taller. Indeed, I have seen quite modestly sized chaps bending low behind things when stalking up-close with a Browning.

And my Sten. What can I say. Ugly, effective, could spray a street clean in a couple of bursts. They have Council sweepers to do that now. You could barely hit anything you aimed at with it which was a real bugger for anyone on the bullet-receiving end because anywhere they jumped to avoid the spray, is where it would go. Saved even having to aim though.

British-made bullets of course. Pre EU days. Pre the Belgian FN even.
