Nobody Wins When “Death is Part of Life.”
Nobody Wins
The Democrats have been doing this for years: When guilty of crimes they attack, attack, attack! And these two attack dogs were hand-picked by Obama and Hillary to be at that investigation today, you can count on it. Elijah had to READ every single word he was saying. I was certainly impressed with how well he read it, weren’t you?
Someone prepared that great attack speech for him. This was suppose to be a Congresstional “investigation”…and instead, Elijah came out and TOLD everyone that there was nothing here to see. After all, there was a top general who sided with the facts that nobody could have helped these people. And so, in trying to help the grieving people who want to know the truth–Elijah says these profound words:
“Death is part of life.”
Wow…….Who knew?
Of course, the Dems talking point is: BLAME BUSH! BLAME THE SEQUESTER! BLAME THEIR RACIST JEALOUSY! BLAME WHOOPI!
Wait, they didn’t blame Whoopi, so I will.
Sitting right next to Mr. Cummings (I will NOT go there) was Mrs. Baloney…the woman attack dog who came out and claimed how unfair it was that we attacked AMERICANS! How DARE we attack Obama and Hillary…Why this is all about keeping Hillary from being President.
She got it wrong. We are still not sure about Obama being an…American. But we are pretty sure, last time we looked, Hillary was the Secretary of State, and the boss. The buck won’t stop at the top with Hillary. You will probably find it somewhere in Susan Rice’s pantyhose.
If the Republicans were smart, they remind everyone that ambassador Stevens was gay, and the order was given, from the top…to stand down. If only he had shouted it out to the world, maybe Obama would have called him, and he would still be alive.
Uh…I missed a couple of calls….
Nobody Wonders
I only got to watch an hour of the Benghazi testimony today, but there was one thing that I wondered about. It was in the beginning testimony that came from Gregory Hicks:
GREGORY HICKS: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. As I remember Sept. 11th, 2012, it was a routine day at our embassy and — until we saw the news about Cairo. And I remember sending a text message to Ambassador Stevens saying, Chris, are you aware of what’s going on in Cairo? And he said, no. So I told him that the embassy in — in another text, that the embassy had been stormed and they were trying to tear down our flag. And he said, thanks very much. And, you know, then I went on with business.
Closed the day and I went back to my villa and was relaxing, watching a television show that I particularly like, and at 9:45 p.m. — and all times will be Libyan times, there’s a six-hour time difference — the RSO [Regional Security Officer], John Martinec, ran into my villa, yelling, Greg, Greg, the consulate’s under attack. And I stood up and reached for my phone because I had an inkling or a thought that perhaps the ambassador had tried to call me to relay the same message, and I found two missed calls on the phone, one from the ambassador’s phone, one from a phone number I didn’t recognized.
Now I am certainly no expert on foreign affairs, but I thought the fact that not only did Congressman Issa take more than his share of time giving all kinds of great credentials in his introduction to this guy, when Gregory got to speak, he continued his long litany of just what an expert his is: Two masters degrees, speaks Farsi, countless awards–let’s just say truckloads more than Hillary Clinton OR ‘President’ Obama.
And yet–if I had received a call that Cairo was being attacked, and I also knew that I was in a hot spot called Libya, pretty much unprotected, I don’t’ think I would have gone home and watched TV. And I certainly would have had my cellphone right by my side while I was watching my favorite program. It’s just common sense.
Don’t get me wrong, the rest of his testimony was how brave all the state department people were throughout the attack. Almost as if he was trying to make sure no one else got demoted, as he did.
Still…that little fact of going home to watch TV…makes me wonder just how bright this guy really was. His testimony was lame at best. Like..”I loved my job, and I was good at it, and people were killed and it wasn’t my fault so give me my job back.” sort of thing.
None of that takes the blame off of Hillary at all. The attack of Benghazi falls on her and Obama. But this guy would not go so far to admit that.
To have this guy as your best witness? What were they thinking?
What most people heard was: I’m a good Government worker–ask anyone!
Unless we hear some real blame, this will just be a show for the Democrats to further slim the Republicans.
