One thing you can be sure of, many Brits are still mad that we went to war with them, and started our own nation, rather than become a commonwealth of the monarchy, which to any Brit, is the height of human endeavor and magnificence.
They look on us much as they look on…say the sheep in Northern Ireland.
I also learned for this nifty little video that the Queen LOVES islands. She has so many islands the royals will never, ever run out of their own private vacation places.
This is really fun to watch.. ENJOY! (I’m going to see it one more time.)

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)

Well my dear friend, enjoy watching this one. Heck, maybe even post about it.
It isn’t just MY Queen (actually, I am her subject – but that’s a moot point) that loves islands. Just look at YOUR President, (who owns you down to your underpants) and look at ALL the wierd places that America ‘owns’. The US didn’t like Britain having an Empire, but guess what? The US has one too now, just not anywhere near as well developed as the British had.
In fact let’s post TWO videos, showing not just the extent of the US Empire but how it stole so many other places it now calls home, from many other countries, through WAR. The ingratitude to Britain shines through, as does the hypocricy of ‘no taxation without representation. But I won’t harp on about that.
Just sit back and get a perspective from two of your own countrymen.

Oh, and just a small addendum. When in the first video the chap talks of America ‘buying’ whole swathes of land from other countries, basically it is one lot of filthy rich American oligarchs (disguised as Congressmen) making deals with foreign rich oligarchs, monarchs and dictators, NOT the ‘People’ of those counties.
The second puts this business of ‘Unrepresentation’ into perspective Britain was kindness and reason in regard to the colonists back before 1776.
