Nobody Reads Isaac Asimov’s Book of Facts
Nobody Reads
Just for fun, I have a book by my desk called Isaac Asimov’s Book of Facts.
Not only was he a famous Science Fiction writer, but he was also intently curious, and his book of facts are really fun!
Here’s a few lines from the chapter called “Misconceptions.”

Samuel F.B. Morse did not really invent the telegraph. He managed to get all the necessary information for the invention from the American physicist Joseph Henry, and later denied that Henry had helped him. (Henry easily proved the contrary in a court trial) Morse was a good promoter and squeezed $30,000 out of Congress for building the first telegraph line, from Washington to Baltimore, in 1844. He did, however, invent Morse code.

A perpetual-motion machine would violate the laws of thermodynamics. Nobody has succeeded in producing one: nobody ever will. (This Nobody Wonders if it’s still true.)

And my personal favorite
Benjamin Franklin’s invention of the lighting rod in 1753 was the first practical victory of science over a natural phenomenon. Two years later, when Lisbon, Portugal, was destroyed by an earthquake and tidal wave, some ministers in Boston proclaimed it was a punishment for the sacrilege of using lighting rods to avert the wrath of God.
And now, they blame Global Warming for the mass invasions to the West and America, happening all over the world.
As the famous quote from Obama’s best bud, Rahm Emanuel:‘Never let a crisis go to waste.”
Yeah, I love books, and this one is really fun! Put it in your library if you like odd facts.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

You know, it’s true. Everyone forgets the fact that we ARE ruled by our DNA to a certain degree. And there are differences in genetic races. Not much maybe, but they are there.
Even Thomas Sowell talks about how because Africans had to run everywhere in the past, the genetics lead to REALLY tall basketball players. Well, it’s funny, but I think he has a point.
The hummingbird and the ostrich, are still…BIRDS. Big difference, right? And we are supposed to think there is NO difference whatsoever between different human races?
It might be little, but someone told me the achilles tendons in the black race is longer than the white…is that true? Anybody?
And I agree. They do DNA bredding to the animals in the zoos. I think in the future that might be coming into play with humans. That will be another frightening thing if controlled by the state or the rich elite.
Also, if you are getting married, For goodness sakes, make sure you get to know his or her whole family history.

I know this to be true in the past because of studying the genealogy of my family.
That being said, if humans did selective breeding(I.E. don’t marry into a family that has multiple eyes or limbs, goes crazy and dies of a heart attack at age 40).
This would get the very best traits, similar to ranchers/farmers then longevity and health may be increased, especially if genetic engineering were applied to the reproduction process.
