Nobody's Opinion

The Accountable Care of Nobody’s Colon..

Nobody Knows

“You should get a colonoscopy” said my new doctor within minutes of being introduced to his new patient…me. The overweight doctor sat down on the chair and gave me that,  “You really should do what I say.” look.

“Why?” I said. “I feel fine.”

“When was the last time you had one?”

“I’ve never had one. Tell you what, if you decide to keep me as your patient, then maybe I’ll get one next year…let’s see how it goes first.”

Not the answer he wanted, he turned his face down to hide his disgust.

You know, if he had just given me a good reason, I might have caved in…but this doctor didn’t. He mentioned it again, he was not giving up. “Really, you should get one.”

What’s the matter with this guy? I thought. Pushy…jeez.

Well, I found out: Did you know that in the Obamacare package the doctors can make some MORE extra money? It’s called accountable care. The hospitals agree to share with insurers the financial risk of caring for patients… in exchange, they get a cut of insurers’ savings, under a formula that benchmarks the cost of treating an individual against a broader sample of patients. The insurer splits the savings with Dr. X’s practice.

He could make $5,000 in just one, two-second suggestion with the right patient. I guess some genius on the Obamacare panel came up with that one.

“Uh…Uh…we need to give some carrots to the doctors, because you know, they will necessarily want to be quitting because of the money, when we push this through.”

How do you think the “insurers” are going to like that? Obamacare says it will save them money in the long run.  Accountable Care is just another money making scheme, I bet ya didn’t know about. I sure didn’t. Nobody Wonders who’s going to be accountable for the accountable care fraud?

Uh…can you say your own name without choking?  (pass the bedpan)

I was wondering lately why all these doctors were making me take so many blood test. The answer is that they send in a bill to the insurer saying, “Well, I saved you at least 1,000 dollars because I prevented her from getting  vampire suckage disease with early screenings!” (Or whatever, pick your diseases ) Here’s your $5000.

Who knows how much money my new doctor was going to make off my immediate colonoscopy?  Not that it doesn’t save lives, that’s not the point I’m trying to make here. And I also know the doctors are retiring in droves, and losing money…but again, that is the point: It’s all about the money.

The big corporate/government complex knows that by 2050 we will be a nation of third world people, mostly Mexicans, and a lot of them with diseases we never knew existed. Do you think Obamacare is going to get all those illegal’s to take out Obama’s mandated insurance?

Can a twenty pound poodle pick up an elephant’s thigh bone? Does Jose know who gave the Gettysburg Address? Can Snooki dial a real telephone?

 Okay. I’ll stop.

Today we heard that the Supreme Court is going to review Obamacare. They are getting all our hopes up aren’t they? It sells the news.  Nobody is already sick of hearing about it.

Well, I don’t know about you, but ever since those holy rollers took away our eminent domain rights, I don’t expect them to say it’s illegal at all. They will say that it’s just like our driver’s license. You must get it. Just like you can’t drive without insurance.

What they won’t say is that Obamacare is a legal way to commit an American genocide of their own people, with a jury of 12 handpicked “what’s good for the country.” doctors deciding who lives…and who dies.
It might come down to one Sotomeyer vote, but Obamacare will remain. And they are doing it this year, on purpose, so that it won’t be the deciding factor in the upcoming elections. If the Supreme Court says it’s legal, no Republican will try to repeal it, and that’s what they want—our Harvard board of illuminati backdoor rulers have already decided.

Scott Seroto, the CEO of Blue Cross/Blue Shield was on C-Span today, in front of the Chamber of Commerce,  pleading for Obamacare to stay in place. “We must have a young and healthy work force to survive” he said. That’s why it’s so important that we keep Obamacare.

Scott Seroto is either participating in Obamacare’s Accountable Care Program, or he needs a serious colonoscopy

I’ll be sure and tell my doctor.

  1. LOL! M,dear…amfortas, we will have this chat again! I have no idea where you get the idea that the American medical system was always bad. Before the HMO’s (thank you Idsrr91) came into fruition, we had the BEST in the world. I was alive then.I suppose it was like what you are getting now…if you were 80, and needed a heart transplant, and you had insurance, you would get your heart transplant. With Obamacare, you will NOT get that transplant.

From what you tell me…Australia would give you a heart transplant and a new liver, new eyes, new ears… right away at your command.

    That’s how it should be.

I don’t know what utopia you live in, but by all my readings, England’s universal health care leaves a lot to be desired.

So, am I understanding that you believe the “old” should die, to make way for the young? We should go back to the horse and buggy days?

Because that’s what they want. Not perfect? Well, neither were the eugenics systems of Hitler.

TODAY…my own son cannot go to a doctor. He cannot afford insurance. He suffers in pain every single day. Our government has created a huge mess with our once ‘perfect’ system, so they come in with the perfect solution. Universal Health care…is part of the big state govenment plan of taking people’s right to choose away from them. And in many cases their lives.

The govenment is saying that the young Mexican babies will get FREE medical care on the backs of working Americans, who will pay double the price for them. It’s redistribution of wealth…and I am going to bitch about it…I will not go quietly into that good night..

We once had a great system here…before the Cliintons. And most of us remember it and are appalled at the changes.

You have it wrong. Doctors are not obiged to do anything in Obamacare. Best read up on it some more, my friend. You have no idea what a horrible plan it is.

It’s much more than just another Universal Health Care program.

I’m looking forward to the next “my dear” from you, amforats! Because it’s so much fun to argue with great thinkers.

NOTE: My complaint was on the doctors pushing tests just to make a quick buck off the insurance companies…put into law, by the comrades in government. That was my complaint.

  2. I used to have insurance, it was $220 a month, then one month, I get a notice, it said: “You insurance has been raised to $960 per month.” (this after never even filing a claim of any kind)

After paying in something like $70,000 in premiums.

Next was the visit to the hospital, colonwhatever-you-call-it and the bill reaches $850 … how much did the insurance pay?

    $110.00

Guess who does not have insurance now … HMO=Hand Over Your Money Or Die.

  3. Now we have had this chat before, m’dear. No system is perfect and all systems can be improved. And by golly the American health system was in dire need of bringing into the 20C let alone the 21st.

How much have you ‘put in’ in Insurance fees and got little out of? I know in my ‘social’ medicine I put in for donkey’s years and took very little out. As a pretty normal bloke I was loath to step into the Doc-shop and when I did it was full of ladies with ladies problems. So I was told. I was also told that men were idle barstards who did not take care of themselves. But… at least I was putting in and saving up!!

Now I am an older chap and in need, I find a plenitude of caring docs and nurses who fit me up with hearing doodahs, sleeping thingos, eye operations and what have you. All free. I have earned it and paid for it.

I ask my Doc to explain in great detail what it is she is wanting to do and why. I, like you, turn down some of the menu and request other matters be looked at. I am in charge. It works. I now get FULL reports and have them explained. She (and sometimes he), does have a ‘test to destruction’ mode switch which I press off and press on. I have taken the opportunity to have doppler tests and MRIs and ECG and EEGs, but as I deemed fit, not simply because it suited the Doc.And I am a reasonable citizen.

There are always going to be those on both sides of the Doc’s desk who will rort the system. But YOU are now more firmly in charge because they are OBLIGED to provide whet before hand they would not do because you didn’t have the ‘right’ insurance.

Ask your Doc what else is on offer. Ask what he/she can do about the things that matter to YOU. Ask what they can now do for your family that has not been done by the insurance company beaurocrat.

    TAKE CHARGE.
