Boston: A Bomb Free Zone?

Nobody Reports

Tomorrow the Senate votes on one of the most important issues in American History: Whether or not Americans will be able to keep their guns. So today, when a terrorist blew up two bombs at the Boston Marathon, and the President of the United States, who is NOT a patriot, nor a fan of the founding fathers, had to mention the ‘historical’ meaning of the day, while leaving out that it was a terrorist attack in his video, Nobody Wonders: what is he setting up? Boston blood

An eight-year-old boy was killed, as one other (so far reported) and over 100 injured.Boston Marathon Explosion

It’s been wall to wall coverage, but while they say how this is an American patriotic parade, if you watch all the video’s the flag of all the Nations of the world are hung all along Boston running route, (people from all over the world come here to run in it) and Boston is about as liberal a city as you can get…a city Sam Adams would not even recognize if he were alive.

First Reports: It was a Saudi that did it. Democrats, of course are hinting that it was a ‘Republican.’ Since I don’t think anything is a coincidence, somehow this will be tied to the gun vote tomorrow. If they can possibly do it, they will.

It will be interesting to see what is discovered doing the next few days. …but all Americans feel for the poor people who suffered from this act of horror.Boston bloody three

You have to wonder why the police did NOT check the garbage cans along the route of runners, because it would be a no-brainer. But then again…we have gun-free schools for nuts who need no resistance.  What good is all this trillion-dollar surveillance if they can’t even think to check the obvious?

Here’s the great one’s speech…and the..”We will bring them to justice.” Yeah…he said that about Benghazi. How’s that justice coming?

Take special note how Obama shows no emotion in this, and simply reads his statement as if he had to take a break from his golf game. Totally different from his speech at Sandy Hook. You would think he was reading some kind of company report on earnings.

  1. My comment earlier was frivolous. The bombing was a terrible act and the victims deserve better.

    And we who continue on.

A far better response appeared today at Mercatornet, some parts of which speak a truth far better than my silly effort.

Exceprts here, but please follow the link for it all.

Acts of violence never make sense, no matter how this one turns out to be explained. Every one of these random attacks assaults our sensibilities and rattles whatever semblence of security we still have in our daily lives. We can’t live in fear, so soon after these things happen, we go back to busy life as usual. But with a little more dis-ease. What else can we do?

Answer a question with a question: How do we view humanity? Last week was the 50th anniversary of Pope John XXIII’s encyclical Pacem in Terris, Peace on Earth. It talks about order in the universe, order in human beings, rights, duties, responsibilities, truth, justice, charity and freedom. And God.

……….the foundation for order in society……is truth, and it must be brought into effect by justice. It needs to be animated and perfected by men’s love for one another, and, while preserving freedom intact, it must make for an equilibrium in society which is increasingly more human in character.
Love for one another? How are we doing with that? A society that’s increasingly more human in character?

But such an order—universal, absolute and immutable in its principles—finds its source in the true, personal and transcendent God. He is the first truth, the sovereign good, and as such the deepest source from which human society, if it is to be properly constituted, creative, and worthy of man’s dignity, draws its genuine vitality…

This is what St. Thomas means when he says: “Human reason is the standard which measures the degree of goodness of the human will, and as such it derives from the eternal law, which is divine reason . . . Hence it is clear that the goodness of the human will depends much more on the eternal law than on human reason.”

How much less does the global community depend on “the eternal law” and more so on reason informed by one’s own lights?

…. How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust.

What does this have to do with the violence in Boston? Probably the disregard for the life of human beings, even children, women, the elderly, anybody in the area of the bombs. Anybody who is the ‘Other’ from whoever set the bombs to kill and maim.

  2. London and Madrid come to Boston. Many will sit down to a cup of salty tea to consider what it means for the ‘surveillance’ society. Clearly Boston does not have enough cameras on street lamps watching the passers-by.

Obama is out of his depth on this one. It is astonishing that we have not heard from Joe Biden about this bombing. Violence is a woman’s issue. There were women in the street and the VAWA specifically protects women from such violence. Not enough in the budget for their protection, it seems. Borrow some more from China, quick.

I see ‘job creation’ coming up with an army of single mothers weaned away from watching lesbian day-time TV stars sitting at screens gossiping about other women walking past Boston’s shops. “Ooo, look at ‘er. How can she wear THAT?!!” ” Look at ‘im. I bet he abuses women. His poor girlfriend. Poor girl”.
“Look at that handbag. You could put a small nuke in that. Its ‘ewweee’. You wouldn’t catch me dead walking around with THAT bag”.
