Obama Wants Your Free Speech Rights…
Nobody Knows—
Just when the government is going to take over the internet.
If you wonder why you are not noticing your freedoms being chipped away, let me say this: They get your eyes glued to a scandal, and then quietly pass a law that hurts us all while we’re busy talking about it.
They did this with the new US patent laws…did you know about that? That the US patent laws have now gone global? The big boys of all the big multinational companies now sit on the patent board?
Well no, Tiger Woods and his favorite sexual putter, was being splashed all over the TV.
And while we are going to be talking about Herman Cain’s sex scandals, on November the 20th, Obama is going to take over the internet, right before Thanksgiving…when all the Congress goes on break. Obamacare was passed the same way.
The Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Net Neutrality Act, passed last December, gives President Obama and the FCC power over the Internet. Every website you visit …every server you access … every blog you create … every bit of information you read … is about to come under the administration of the federal government. And, they can shut down any website they want, without judicial review! (Think about what happened in Egypt during the uprisings!)
Here’s another point that should bother us all:
The FCC Diversity Czar, Mark Lloyd, is AGAINST freedom of speech! He is on-record PRAISING Hugo Chavez for shutting down private media companies. The Net Neutrality Act seems to be part of a larger effort by the Obama administration to exert power and speech restrictions over the entirety of the Internet, what you can see when you are on it, and how you access it.
They won’t do this Joyanna, you say?
Well, just watch them. Â Call your Senators and complain, and pray that good men stand up.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

Hmmmm. let us not be parochial here, Joyanna. The Oz Gov also wants control over the net AND newspapers, blogs, what have you. It is not ‘Obama’ but a leftist mindset. He is just your local rep. The UK has its own movements toward censorship, along with much of Europe. The ‘East’ and far North of course have had State control of speech for as long as any of us can remember.
It is a perennial battle. It is one small part of the ‘Good vs Evil’ plot that has driven human development since time immemorial.
The internet scared the pants off totalitarian governments and democracies alike. But remember that the Internet itself was ‘gifted’ to the world by American ingenuity and generosity – even though several Englishmen were responsible for its creation !!

In Oz the Government has a list of forbidden websites. But no-one is allowed to see it.

Yes, the “liberal fascism” is well spread throughout the universe, and it’s sitting on all our mustaches. No one is allowed to see the forbidden websites? Well, I knew it was happening all over Europe and the Middle East, China, but OZ? The good guys are losing again Mate. I’m now going to go plan an invasion. (LOL) After I feed my dogs of course.
