Nobody’s Perfect: Barbara Bush

Nobody’s Perfect

When I heard that the late former first lady, Barbara Bush, had her autobiography published AFTER she died, I had to laugh.
And yes, I laughed when she said that Donald Trump caused her heart attack in 2016. That may sound cruel, but let me explain.

From USA today:

“It wasn’t technically a heart attack, though she called it that. It was a crisis in her long battle with congestive heart failure and chronic pulmonary disease that hit her like a sledgehammer one day in June 2016,” Page wrote in USA Today. But, Page added: “The tumultuous presidential campaign in general and Trump’s ridicule of son Jeb Bush in particular had riled her. ‘Angst,’ she told me.”

So, President Trump was the cause of her demise. I couldn’t help but remember how Bill Clinton was the cause of my own mother’s demise. She hated President Clinton. She had a massive stroke while watching him on TV, which eventually killed her.

Politics. It will literally kill ya.

I have to admit…out of all the Bushes, I prefer the women to the men. Both Barbara and Laura had ions of intelligence way beyond their husbands. Their husbands clearly lead separate lives but depended on their wives to be their rocks.

Throughout their lives, the Bushes kept secret the fact that they lost a young daughter. Luckily, they went on to have a bunch to ease the pain. The hardest thing in life is to lose a child. And one that is still so young, just at the bud of life….that’s real horror.

And no doubt, according to some, the rumor that Daddy Bush was having an affair with a woman that he worked with in China, while Barbara was going through menopause here in the states, was probably true.

Barbara said she went through a depression, and wanted to kill herself.  A feeling many women would get with those two events happening no matter if your rich or poor. Yet, why divorce? With children, that’s not an easy choice. Did Barbara ever work outside the home?

Probably not.

Yes, I could feel sympathy for her, she was easy to like….until she decided to bad mouth President Trump for America rejecting the Bush dynasty once and for all.

That’s where her “elite” northeastern, snobbery comes in. Barbara had always hated Trump because he was “greedy, selfish, and ugly.”

Did she HAVE to put that in her autobiography? Well, to be fair, Trump nailed Jeb with some good lines.

Revenge must have seemed sweet.

Ugly? Most people would agree that Trump in the looks department was certainly more well-endowed in that department than any of the Bushes. But, that’s just a Nobody Opinion.

Greedy? Selfish? Okay, wait. Wanting to have THREE Bushes in the White houses? Many would say that’s the gold standard for greed and selfishness. Even though she said that America had enough Bushes, she went out and campaigned for Jeb.

Barbara also said that because of Trump, she no longer considered herself a republican. Although, she had enough brains NOT to vote for Hillary like her husband.

Did she still consider herself a Republican? “I’d probably say no today.” She said. This book is meant to please the ‘deep state’ of moneyed elite GOP who are determined to not lose their place in American history.

But, what did the ‘deep state’ for us? What DID her son and her husband do for us really?

Okay….I’m thinking….give me a second….uh….uh….uh….give me another minute…uh…uh…nope. Nothing really stands out.

But, here’s the real kicker to the ‘façade’ of Barbara Bush:

Bush had said when she woke up on Nov. 9, 2016 — the day after the presidential election — she discovered “to my horror” Trump was the 45th president of the United States.

Page wrote:

She didn’t hide her horror from those close to her. After Trump was elected, a friend in Kennebunkport gave her a Trump countdown clock as a joke. The red, white, and blue digital clock displayed how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remained in Trump’s term. She parked it on the side table in her bedroom, next to the chair she would sit in to needlepoint or watch television.

She liked the countdown clock so much that when the Bushes returned to Houston that October, she brought it with her. It sat on her bedside table, where she could see it every day. It was there to the day she died.

Really? Hillary would NOT have been a horror?

They had to put THAT in the book?

Well…Nobody’s Perfect: And thanks to her husband and her son, doing what they did to the country, we now are being led down a socialist road. When her son made the taxpayers bail out the banks, and millions lost their retirement money because according to him, they just got a little “out of hand” that brought on Obama. Daddy Bush sent us on the road to the New World Order, and his son, cost us trillions in a war that he really didn’t think through.

And Obama started us down the road to socialism.

Elections DO matter. Obama just about destroyed us. And not ONE Bush EVER, EVER, EVER said a mean word about Obama.

And that’s why I’m GLAD the Bush dynasty is over.

Trump is trying to get us out of the mess the last four Presidents have made. It’s a big task

The man who Barbara Bush hated so much, is the only one who can get us out….

But, I’m sure somewhere in the Bush household, Barbara’s clock is still ticking.
