This week…two important events made it impossible for me to ignore.
The first one up being..Dennis Skinner…a man who made a most wonderful observation about the Prime Minister of England, and was quickly kicked out of Parliament for calling David Cameron
“Dodgy Dave” due to the recent report that Cameron’s father had been hiding his massive wealth in offshore accounts:
The Panama Papers leak revealed that Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca helped several world leaders conceal their wealth stashing their money in offshore accounts.
Yes, Dodgy Dave had his father hide his investments in offshore accounts. How nice. No taxes…but of course, being the elite of the world all you have to say is it wasn’t to avoid taxes and there is nothing wrong with great wealth, and anybody who dares speak out against you, will be punished. Saying it’s not HIS money of course but his dad’s, and don’t you wonder how OLD Daddy is?
So much for the free speech of England. I want to adopt Dennis, but I’m sure they wouldn’t let me into the country.
And another man on Sunday, had a rather bad day:
Yes, the young Texan Jordan Spieth was on the way to winning the Masters, and in the words of Donald Trump: “He choked.”
Englishman Danny Willett took advantage of a stunning meltdown by defending champion and runaway leader Jordan Spieth after the turn to win his first major title by three shots at the Masters on Sunday.
I only know about this because I called my son on Sunday…AFTER the game was over, and he was in a deep depression and didn’t want to talk.
“Who won?” I asked.
“Some Englishman.” and then..he moaned and said he was going to sleep. I talked to him all of ten seconds. It was too much for him to bear.
The good news is that in America you can call somebody “Lying Ted” or “Little Man” and you will only be thrown out of the Republican party, and as far as we know, you can say almost anything in the Master’s locker room.
Nobody will ever know.

This was the bizarre topic at the local swim met today.

CHARLES COUNTY •A man whose remains were found scattered along Highway 370 Thursday was heading home from a tavern in the New Town area of St. Charles and walking from his broken down pickup truck when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop, authorities said.
The man was identified as Shawn Christopher Daugherty, 35, a boat fiberglass repairman and bachelor who lived in St. Charles. Authorities are seeking the vehicle that struck Daugherty but don’t have much to go on.
Why is this so strange? Because someone called the police at 2.15 a.m. saying someone was trying to cross the highway. This is a highway that everyone at the pool takes daily, weekly…in fact my son drives on it to work every day.
He must have been hit soon after that, but, the police didn’t investigate the scene until …a WOMAN police patrol thought those bits of pieces of corpse lying all over the road were actually…human.
She called this in at 4.30..pm. Right about rush hour. The body was torn up into hundreds of little pieces, which means, drivers on that highway the whole night, and WELL throughout the whole next day, just kept running over what remained of Shawn.
Everyone said they thought it was a deer.
Nobody Knows who hit him first. BUT…you would have thought that SOMEBODY else would have reported that mess to the police. I’m sure hundreds of cars ran over the body.
What does this mean? I would have called the police and said, “Hey, there’s a big mess out on the highway and people are going 70 mph, and this could cause a major accident! Get somebody out here to clean this up!”
Either nobody called, or nobody in the police department cares to talk about the fact that they didn’t investigate. I’m SURE more than one police car ran over that body too.
It’s disturbing enough to wonder why the guy was trying to cross the road, and why the person who HIT him kept going. But isn’t it even more disturbing that thousands of cars just kept going over him?
Poor guy. He had just been at a bar with his buddies watching the baseball game.
It didn’t make the national news, because he wasn’t an illegal.
In this country…they put up crossing signs for the illegals— like they do for deer…so they can cross safely.
The regular citizen gets no such respect.
Nobody Wonders...if it was an illegal that actually hit him in the first place and that’s why he didn’t stop. Makes sense.
But...Nobody Cares.
Don’t ALL the Relatives of Black Murdered Victims Deserve The Same?

Okay. I don’t follow football all that much. And I happen to think idolizing sports players is a bit like idolizing Cher—-who, I saw in the tabloids this morning, is dying of depression, because her muscles feel like jelly. She hasn’t figured out yet it’s her jello brain that’s her problem, but we all know she’ll be dead before that happens.
Because of my own ignorance in all things pertaining to football, imagine my surprise when this morning I saw that all cable channels were turned into the verdict of some football player named Aaron Hernandez.
Yes, he’s guilty, they all said. Of what? Making too much money?
Former Patriots star Aaron Hernandez has been convicted on all counts in the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, including first-degree murder. He has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Hernandez’s lawyers repeatedly asking jurors why Hernandez would ever kill his friend and soon-to-be-brother-in-law.
After that, America was put through almost an HOUR of Odin’s relatives going on and on about “How he rode his bike to work, and he will never get to see his nephew, and he wore the same pair of Nike sandals until they fell off his smelly feet.” (Okay, they didn’t say his feet were smelly, but just imagine.)
Exciting as that sounds, Nobody Wonders why they don’t give the relatives of all the young black men that are murdered in this country every day, the same air time?
Or…how about a new cable program called, “Remembering the Murdered?”
Really. If the networks think that the murdered relatives of black men expressing their sorrow to the world is such a ratings bonanza.
Why not do more?
God know, NBC could use the viewers. Brain Williams needs a new job.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.
