Nobody's Opinion

Nobody Flashes an Apology to Boston

Nobody Flashes

Mmmm…that last post was meant to be a comment on sports and photo-ops, but then, after I posted it, I thought…oh my…all those people who suffered…what are you doing? Somebody might take this one very wrong.

I really do not doubt for ONE minute that those boys on the Boston Team are not great players, and that the gesture was a heart- felt one. Baseball is a game of luck as well as of talent…I guess I’ve just seen so much daily corruption in my lifetime in politics..( AND sports)  and I know life is not fair, and that’s part of life….nevertheless, I am having a very hard time living and watching my country die, and feeling powerless to do anything at all to change it. I know that there have been tougher times in history, but I don’t think there’s a single person in America that expected this…horror that we are witnessing every day. Some of us are very aware of what’s going on, some of us aren’t.Statue of Liberty

Oh…to be ignorant. Even through the World Wars, there was always hope, that America was your home and America would always be safe. But up is down, and black is white now, and never, ever, before in history has the average patriotic American been considered enemy of the state.  We have a President who actually doesn’t even like half of us.

Even the war between the North and South, both sides considered themselves patriotic.

I’m just getting too cynical and old. Yes…I feel old tonight. Are there other souls out there that feel the same? Its as if I am talking to myself day in and day out. It’s a sort of madness…this blogging.

I apologize to anyone in Boston that I might have offended, and I’m reprimanding myself…I’m not sure what got into me. I guess it was the baseball jokes…..I wasn’t thinking. I had just watched DUMBO and found myself crying at the same place I used to cry at when I was a child. The part where the mother is in prison and she rocks Dumbo outside the jail-bars. (see video) Disney sure knew how to press those buttons.

Anyway, what happened in Boston last year should have never happened. What happened on 9/11, once again, should have never happened. With the BILLIONS of dollars they spend on defense and the NSA, and they had to shut down a whole town just to find one 19-year-old?

How incompetent are the leaders that are doing this to us?

Anyway, I love Boston. I once went to Boston and ended up crying at John Adams tomb site, stupid me.  As I stood in the rock filled room, where John and Abigail, JQA and his wife are buried, I wondered if there was an afterlife and if they knew that I was ‘part’ of the family, distant DNA as that may be. I actually felt …very foolish to say the least.

The ‘caretaker’ kept talking about how nobody knew how wonderful JQA’s Louisa was. What a wonderful musician she was. Later on, I found out that she wrote a book called, “The Aventures of a Nobody.”  And this was after I had been writing under Nobody’s Opinion.  She and I would have had a lot in common. I walked the whole city of Boston in 2000.  I climbed the tower at Bunker Hill. Listened to Irish singers in the Irish Pubs. Stood on the Constitution. It breaks my heart that Obama went there that very same day they had the World Series, and gave that BS of a speech at Fennial Hall. .as if the traffic wasn’t going to be bad enough.

Did he care? Knowing Obama, he planned it that way.

Of course I think the Red Soxs felt sorrow, and loved the town of Boston. How could they not?   I just wish they would have put flowers on the spot instead of the World Series Trophy. But I guess they thought it was the highest offer they had to give. It’s all how you look at it.

Men do noble things. It’s just too bad, that when we see Men doing something noble—- we have seen so many photo-ops with celebrities and politicians, that when famous men actually do something with heart…., we don’t see the real thing when it happens.

Nobody is…more sorry than I.

  1. From the America Thinker: I Am Now a Dissident (and You Should Be, Too!):

We live in a nation where the constitutionally respectful are becoming increasingly outnumbered by those who neither understand the underpinnings of our founding nor recognize the benefits that flow from those foundational values.

In place of legitimate constitutional scholarship in our educational system, we see a systematic and unrelenting effort to overturn the original concepts of our Constitution in favor of some “living” replacement — an “updated” document made for a diverse and evolving population, or so we are told.

Those who hold offices created by the Constitution itself are the very people using the power of those offices to usurp constitutional authority and undermine its place in American law.

After Obama utilized his entire first term to levy insult after insult against the rule of law in our nation, we conservatives appealed to our fellow citizens to vote with us to halt his lawlessness. We discovered to our eternal dismay that we — not they — are the minority.

    • Hey, thanks for pointing us all to that article on American thinker snopercod!   They don’t teach the Constitution, and they don’t teach you about finance either in high school.   And yet, John McCain does nothing. (John is taking over from the U.N….he’s just about as worthless.)

Well spoken. There are plenty of Americans who feel the same sense of foreboding and helplessness. I imagine this is exactly how many Germans felt in the 1930s while watching the thugs take over.

  3. Joyanna –

Yes, there are indeed other souls out here who feel as you do. We mourn for the America in which our leadership stood a cut above the rest of us – men and women we hoped to be able to emulate because of their integrity, courage, character and liberty-centered vision of the future.

During our short history, no matter the turmoil that faced us, we always knew that there would be a light at the end of the tunnel, that there was a justice system that could be relied upon to see to it that truth prevailed, and that there was close to a majority, if not a solid one, in Washington that had the best interests of the American citizen at the heart of their actions and policies. And, whether the turmoil’s source was domestic or foreign, once the dust cleared, America would pick herself up, dust herself off, and begin the task of setting things right again.

The fact that that is no longer the case leaves us very little to embrace and build our hopes for the future on. We have a president whose allegiances are to other entities than the U.S. Constitution, who is purposefully destroying the American economy, purposefully making America increasingly dependent on foreign energy, purposefully pitting one segment of society against another, purposefully allowing (even encouraging) illegal immigration with a twofold motive: to accelerate our economic decline, and to ensure the leftists’ stranglehold on leadership positions in D.C. He is legislating through edict. He is destroying our longstanding alliances, while at the same time forging ‘alliances’ with our ideological enemies and incrementally rendering the American military impotent, while replacing with nothing more than yes-men those in decision-making positions. And he is intent on dismantling the most moral, advanced, compassionate healthcare system in the history of mankind and replacing it with a heartless, incompetent, monolithic bureaucracy.

What is most horrifying about this historically unprecedented nightmare is that the majority of our countrymen have not taken to heart our Founders’ repeated warnings. We are no longer a society that values liberty over comfort, or vigilance over affluence. And not until the repercussions of this president’s agenda are so painful as to be noticed by everyone on the planet will the majority of the American citizenry awaken from its apathetic stupor. By then, their hands will be tied and the boot print on their necks will be indelible and immovable.
