Nobody's Opinion

Nobody’s Email: DA DRONE! DA DRONE!

Nobody Gets Email

I can’t think of a more fun way to start off a Saturday then with the email I just got! It’s from my very good friend in Australia, amfortas, and he has written up a very educational blog about drones. It has  everything you always wanted to know about drones, and flying machines.

I’ve included a video from the blog that I especially like, because you know me…I saw a drone over a tea party rally I was at in 2007, and I’ve hated them ever since.

Since amfortas wrote the article, I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

(Thanks to amfortas!)

  1. Thanks for the heads-up to the regulars here, Joyanna. I must offer an apology for seemingly being ‘unfaithful’ and putting something together for someone else’s blog. But James and I get on well: not near as well as you and I, but heck we need a wide circle of friends, don’t we.

He is like you in some respects. His ‘taste’ is wide ranging and his contributions are varied and stimulating. He has firm opinions, as you do, and a wide experience. You could do worse than visiting him and his ‘Nourishing Obscurity’ site from time to time and leaving a comment – of course.

Interesting side point: James has invited me to be a ‘contributing author’. He enables ‘chosen’ people to upload to his blog independantly. I did thank him for his confidence but gently turned him down, but accepted the opportunity to draft pieces and email them to him to upload as he deems fit, making whetever changes he might consider suitable for his blog purposes. I will do this occasionally. I remain mindful of you and I having a joint blog next year.

Meanwhile enjoy the long piece I sent and he put up. There is a solid hour of entertainment, deep thinking, erudite (as well as geeky) comment in the videos. I hope YOUR regular readers like it too. I am particularly impressed bythe FPV ‘work’ that Team Black Sheep have put in over the past few years. Their ‘illegal’ aerial views of America’s rugged beauty and magnificent public artifacts are stunning. They should get prizes.
