Nobody’s Fool: Judge Neil Gorsuch
I watched the hearings today on President Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and no matter how many law examples the idiotic Democratic Senators cited, in order to trip him up, Judge Gorsuch was so far ahead of them and so much above repute, they were basically silenced into looking like fools if they dared attack him. And he did it all with a smile.
You know me, I have been worried that President Trump might appoint another Roberts, but no…the story Judge Gorsuch tells at the end…convinced me that yes, THIS man is one in million. My heart was struck with emotion when I heard his story for very personal reasons, because I once visited that graveyard in Boston, and for the same reason….searching for my ancestors, searching for America, searching for the profound birth of a great nation by a few courageous leaders of good heart and genius.
I was so overwhelmed at the site of those graves, that I ended up crying at the grave of James Otis, the lawyer who was instrumental in our fight against the Crown. While everybody else was wanting to go to lunch, I was having a profound emotional patriotic breakdown, leaning on the rock that was placed above his grave.
(You would have to know the life of James Otis.)
The tour guide of course, thought I was wacko, but then again, he was pretending to be Ben Franklin.
For Judge Gorsuch to even mention that graveyard to me, was a sign. The sign that the man was a true patriot, and our country would have a chance of not disappearing under some international ‘law’ but it would carry on as what it was always meant to be…
A nation ruled by laws, not men.
At least this Judge will try to see to it.
Anyway, I don’t know where or HOW President Trump found this man, but he is the best of the best, and a true American.
God blessed us with him. And if he doesn’t get confirmed, no doubt lighting will strike the Capitol.
