Nobody Flashes
I got this email today, and I couldn’t wait to post it. It must be an old one, so I added a few paragraphs of my own to the end. The author was not mentioned..but he/she is a mighty fine pundit. What makes this satire so relevant is that Obama is going to RUN against the mean, rich, nasty people..of whom he happens to be the perfect example of one.

Dear American Taxpayer
For the second time in my adult life, I am not ashamed of my country. I want to thank the hard-working American people for paying $242 thousand dollars for my vacation in Spain. My daughter Sasha, several long time family friends, my personal staff and several friends had a wonderful time.
Honestly, you just haven’t lived until you’ve stayed in $2,500.00 dollar per night, 3 story villa at a five star luxury hotel.
Thank you also for Air Force Two, and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times. By the way, if you happen to be visiting the Cost del Sol, I highly recommend the Bueunaventura Plaza in Marbella: a great lobster with rice and oysters! I’m ashamed to admit the lobsters we ate in Martha’s Vineyard were not quite as tasty, but what can you do if you’re not in Europe? You have to just grin and bear it?Â
Air Force Two (which costs $11, 351 dollars an hour to operate according to the Government Accounting Office reports) only used 47, 500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere ,1,032 tons of CO2. These are only rough estimates but we are close. That’s quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars, and drive less too, so we can lesson our combined carbon footprint.
I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling hard to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet, so I do appreciate your sacrifices and do hope you find work soon.
I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago, I just had to get away for a few days.

PS Thank you as well for the $4 billion dollar trip to India from which we just returned.
PPS Thank you too for that vacation trip to Martha’s Vineyard: it was fabulous! And thanks for that second smaller jet that took our dog Bo to Martha’s Vineyard so that we and the children could have him with us while we were away from the White House for eleven days. After all, we couldn’t take him on Air Force One because he might pee on some wires or something.
PPPS..Oh, I almost forgot to say thanks also for our two-week trip to Hawaii for Christmas. Obama had to work, so I had to fly out early because we had a 7,000 square foot house that our staff had to get ready. The expense was a bit more this time, over $4 million, and unfortunately we couldn’t move the White House there, as we both love it there, but we want the taxpayers to know, that we make sacrifices too.
The White House will stay in Washington for now.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

Joy, once again, why are people not aware of all this CRAPPPPP I am ashamed to think how many are homeless, cold , Hungry and do not even have the Scrapes that these sad things we call human , they are running our , well not our, I guess you would say their world and living so beyond what is right makes me Cry. How does one live with ones self and see this and not care, except to indulge even more in their narcisitic ways If there are any real Americans left, wake up open your eyes, is this what you want for Your country, or what use to be ,we all thought as Our United States and country, 😦 Where does it all end, or is this just the beginning and no end is insight, at least not any type of happy beginning or end to our New Year 2012?????

They are awake, the news just won’t report YOUR opinion. They keep the office of the Presidency..entiled to it’s riches, because they are all Harvard babies. BUT…we are out there aren’t we Mona? And they know it.

We are tentatively scheduling a trip to the local zoo sometime this spring … we might even have enough cash left over, to tote along some cute sack lunches of PBJ Peanut Butter & Jelly) sandwiches.
As for our carbon footprint? Well, it should not be all that terrible, we are wearing sneakers and sandals.
