Nobody's Opinion

Nobody Flashes: Opera at 10

I know a few readers who love opera. I found this young lady to be amazing.

Just think what she will sing like when she’s 18!

Enjoy!

  1. While both are on pitch, the American girl sings like Whitney Houston. Precise. I prefered the second girl who sang with deep emotion, far beyond her age. To me, music is to ‘fling’ you inside yourself and make you feel…the emotion. Rubenstein once said something I never forgot. He said each time he played a piece, everything that had happened in his life up to that point, he put into the song. Maybe the reason we see singers so different is because I am a woman, and you are man. I feel more emotion just by nature.

But that’s just my Nobody Opinion. Both were great.

  2. So many small girls have followed the trailblazer. Jackie Evancho, an American girl, sang it to win AGT, a decade back. She was first and best.

    • PS. The song is by the daughter of a swindler who is reluctant to steal a large sum from some chap. His daughter tries to persuade him to go ahead and swindle so they have money so she can buy a ring. If he does not, she sings a ‘threat’ that she will throw herself off a bridge into the Arno river. It is an emotional blackmail. hahahahaha. Beautifully persuasive though.
