Gangnam Style….and Peace?
Nobody Flashes
So, does anybody besides me wonder if Kim Jung UN got together with Psy and made a video, that maybe he would find stardom around the world to stroke his ego, instead of launching missiles to make himself feel good?
North and South Korea could come together with dance moves. They could have video dance offs.
You have to hand to the Asians…they took western music video’s and had WAY too much fun.
Nobody Wonders if the people of North Korea have even HEARD this song.
Yes. I do wonder.
Nobody Flashes the Evolution of the BAKA Pygmy Music
Nobody Flashes
I used to study the rhythm of the Pygmies when I was a drummer. They have the MOST complicated rhythmic patterns on earth.
In the first video, you have to TRY to ignore the guy dancing, (I know, it’s hard, he’s got it down doesn’t he?) and listen carefully to the synchronicity of the singers rhythm, compared to the drummers. It sounds like they are separate, but they are NOT.
VERY hard to do. Very few musicians in the world can do this…but the pygmies do it with ease.
Now, listen to the second video. It’s very soothing, and more rehearsed. I like to say that this is more ‘Westernized’ and some would claim it’s BAKA evolution. Add the guitar and you almost have a latin feel.
So to our ears, it’s MUCH more pleasing and fun. It’s more arranged, and the guy even has a mike. If you have never heard the music of the BAKA pygmy’s then you should at least try it once. I also wonder….Is this where the Hawaiians got the idea for the Hula skirt?
And by the way…I can do that. Really. And no, I’m not showing you.
Enjoy! And by the way, if you think this is weird, you should hear their lullabies. Hippo’s would run.

Romantic music from the soul of a street artist.

Nobody Flashes: Please Forgive Me
Nobody Flashes—
One of my favorite songs. Brain Adams writes some of the most romantic songs of the decade. In that respect, I envy his girlfriends.
I like the dog in this video. I like how the guitar fits perfectly, the sweetness of his tone. I love how the band works so well and is ‘tight.’ I love the dynamics, Brian’s voice, and how the music expresses the words and feelings of Brian’s emotions.
And most of all, forgive me, I LOVE the drummers’ cymbals. I never get tired of listening to it, and that to me, is the mark of a classic.
Enjoy!
Nobody Flashes Bare-Chested Scottish Drummers & Bagpipers
Nobody Flashes
I was waiting for ROSE of the Titanic to make an appearance, and take a swig of beer and stand on her toes.
Who doesn’t like bare-chested Scottish men beating on their drums and blowing on their bagpipes to start the weekend?
Take it from an x-drummer. The bald guy in the back and the conga player are doing most of the work. The two in the front are just plain jolly and oh so much fun.
They could use one more bagpipe player, but otherwise…encore! Do another!
Enjoy! Hey, Trump’s mom was Scottish….just saying…maybe they’re celebrating.

Last week’s Boogie-Woogie Woman was so well received, I thought I’d try to post another video of good music.
I am a real sucker for Spanish/Flamingo Guitar. I often play it to relax in a big bath of bubbles.
I don’t know why these guys are playing for pennies out on the street…but I’d pay to listen to them at any nightclub.
Their names are Adrian Roman and Tiberiu Eduard Gogoanta (I know, some name.)
Anyway…enjoy!
Simply the Best: Dona Oxford
Nobody Flashes
I have been fortunate enough to play in many bands as a drummer, with some really talented musicians, but I’ve NEVER played with a piano player that was this great.
This woman, not only didn’t make any mistakes, her timing was perfect, and she entertained on top of it.
Life is funny…the world is filled with great talent that only a few people ever see. They stay local. They play the local bars or hotels. They never make it to the big time for one reason or another, but thanks to YouTube, we’ll get to see more talent like this woman.
Dona Oxford: You are simply…the best!
Look, you will be amazed even if you don’t like “Boogie-Woogie” Watch, and be amazed.
Leon Russell and George W. Bush
Nobody Flashes
I’m pretty under the weather tonight…got a bad cold, and can’t seen to shake it. So, I’m just flashing this wonderful song, written by one of the most underrated musicians ever to perform. Leon Russell passed away just a few days ago.
What a man. What a musician. What a talent. His work with Joe Cocker was brilliant. And I’ve yet to see his work with Elton John, who gave him some much needed notoriety before he died.
I saw him perform once, and I will never forget the funk he got out of that piano, and the energy that blazed out of those eyes, (of which you can’t see here.)
Anyway, enjoy. I’m off to Walgreen to find something…anything….I might need dynamite. (HI NSA)
The post I was going to write I’m not feeling up to…so just a few thoughts instead.
George Bush was talking today in Dallas, about why we should keep our trade deals. He said that the U.S. market is only 5% of the world’s market. We should GET that. Why, we want to be able to sell our products to the whole world, he said. Our market is not that big anymore.
Explaining the elites globalists in one sentence.
That a boy George. Thanks for reminding us how we got so messed up.
George W……Masquerade….sort of fits. If there was one family that set up this globalization that has let the rich get richer, and the American citizen get poorer, it’s the Bush Family.
Consider who benefits:
From Dick Morris, Armageddon:
Under Bill Clinton 45% of all gains in personal income went to the top 1% of the country.
Under George W. Bush, 65% of the gain in income went to the top 1%.
Under Barack Obama 91% of the increase in earnings went to the top 1%.
I think now it’s up to 95%.
So, the Masquerade of globalization has been exposed. It’s still being sold as the only way to go, but it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Globalization is a program for the rich who are masquerading as saviors of the planet.
Okay…I should stop trying to write lame metaphors…I’m just going to listen to the song…one more time.
Dolly Parton and Pentatonix! Wow.
Nobody Flashes
We take for granted the miracle of the internet, and how now, we can just get on, and hear songs we used to have to buy the CD or album to hear.
We also take for granted the miracle of these great singers.
This is one of my very favorite Dolly Parton songs.
Enjoy!
Nobody Flashes the Great B.B. King
Nobody Flashes On a Sunday:
This is amazing, and it brings back memories of what a professional musician has to do when his instrument breaks down. Watch as the great B.B. King breaks a string, and goes right on with the song, while changing the string. Trust me, things can go wrong, and I STILL have nightmares: Like the P.A. system blows the fuse, your mike stops working and you don’t have a spare, a drum skin breaks, a drunk can spill a coke on your electric piano…one time I actually fell off the BACK of the stage..off the drum set! I jumped back up so fast, I only missed about 4 measures.
And it wasn’t exactly a short drop. I was sitting in for a song, (I think it was Proud Mary if I remember right) and the drummer before me had REALLY short legs. I kicked myself right off the balcony.
So, I really got a kick out of this.
Of course…notice that he didn’t have to go FIND the string, which means, B.B. had played so many gigs in his lifetime, you can bet that wasn’t the first time it had happened, and he was prepared.
I saw B.B. King once in a small club…when I was only 16. It was at a teen dance near the airport in St. Louis. There were only about 25 people there, and I remember it like yesterday.
B. B. King…what a voice. What a guitar player….What a consummate entertainer. He WAS the King of the blues.
Enjoy!
Nobody’s Email: The Fastest Song Every Written…On Guitar
Nobody Gets Email
Okay. Not something I would have EVER thought I would see in my life,…and I wonder…how did I miss this?
What a great….way to get you charged up for Sunday: The William Tell Overture.
Here’s Glenn Campbell playing the theme on guitar.
I had to laugh at the orchestra…it’s hard for them to keep up. I bet they were glad when it was over. What do you think?
Enjoy!

A Day of Purple Rain And Crying Doves
Nobody Remembers
What can I say about Prince that I hasn’t been said?
WHY did he have to die in the elevator? Was he really a woman in a man’s body? Why didn’t we appreciate him more?
Okay. I never saw the man in concert, but you didn’t have to be a die-hard fan to admit that Prince had talent that exploded with every beat. To be a guitar player is one thing..BUT..do be able to move and dance and sing at the same time, well…there probably wasn’t any other artist that could do all three things at the same time as well as he did.
Come on…most ALL performers do NOT perform live anymore. They sing along to their “recording.” Their mikes are turned up when they speak, and most people are fooled.
But Prince was old school. Who knew he used to give concerts at his home? Gee…that would have been worth seeing.
Anyway…
Prince was first and foremost–a great entertainer. He wasn’t the BEST guitarist, or the BEST singer, but he stole everything he liked about music and put it into his own thing. The James Brown slips and screams….the Elvis outfits, the use of sex in every video. Smart.
But most importantly, he was truly an artist. “When Dove Cries” is poetic, and emotional, and written from the heart. Not to mention, he was great to dance to.
I heard him just a few weeks ago call up a morning show and talk to his reporter friend on the phone.. and he sounded like such a nice guy, and by everyone’s account…he was.
BUT…OMG…he was…a Jehovah Witness. Not exactly Obama material.
He said that one problem was that “people, especially young people, don’t have enough God in their lives.” (Amen to that.)
In the video above, I was glad to hear him talk about chem trails…a phenomenon that NOBODY is talking about anywhere.
Prince took whatever demons he had in his souls, and gave them out to the world…He MADE himself…a Prince—-.a prince surrounded by beautiful women.
What else is there to say? I feel a bit older tonight. When someone dies so young…it’s a reminder we all have just a short time here.
I searched for a video for “When Doves Cry” but all I could find was this:
Prince being…Prince….with LOTS of beautiful women.
Nobody’s Email: American Pie
Nobody Gets Email:
This was just sent to me, and I was thinking that I used to play this song every night as it is one of the most requested songs in America.
But, just the other day, I was playing it here at home in my “music” room, and IF you think of what is happening now in the election…the American people watching their country die, and the “devil” being Obama and others, it gives the song a whole new meaning.
I once got reprimanded in a poetry class in college, because we were asked to interpret the meaning of a poem, and I insisted that it depended what kind of mood the person was in at the time.
It’s all in how you take it.
She got really mad….but I still stand by that reasoning.
Anyway, thanks to Tom Beebe for taking us all back…
Enjoy!
One Last Time: Hotel California
Nobody Flashes
The incredibly sad news that we lost this sweet, sweet guitar last week…among all the political hatred was a blow. Those of us who never saw the Eagles live (I saw them with Linda Ronstadt, but not when they became the Eagles) will forever know, that the only time I will be able to hear this classic guitar sound is on YouTube.
Glenn Frey. Dead at 67?
Not fair. Too young.
Sit back, turn off the lights, grab a beer, especially if you still have electric, and sink your sometimes tormented soul, once again…into the Hotel California.
He pretty much explained it all.
