—-That once upon a time, Russia and America were friends.

That’s right. We actually got along with Russia. The young republic got along fabulously with the Tzars. And according to Suzanne Massie, a Russian Historian, the young republic not only got along fine with them, Russia’s support helped us win the Civil War.
From a speech delivered to the 15th annual Wirth Washington Seminar at a luncheon meeting in the Russell Caucus Room of the Unites State Senate, Washington D.C., at noon on April 21, 1989.
In 1860, Alexander II wrote admiringly of the United States as “presenting a spectacle of prosperity without example in the annals of history” and the Tsar and his ministers were firm in the belief that the Union must be preserved. When the French urged the British and the Russians to join them in full recognition of the Confederacy, the Imperial Government refused. And when in 1865 at a critical moment in the Civil War, a Russian Frigate and two Russian corvettes steamed into New York harbor, the event cause as mu joy in the United States as it did surprise and consternation in France and England.
The timely appearance of the Russian Fleet caused the French and English to hesitate in giving support to the Confederacy.
Most of the speech was about how after the Berlin Wall fell down, the United States didn’t really do much to become closer friends with Russia. And I must admit, I remember how excited everyone was at the time, the two peoples of each country wanting to be enemies no more, TV shows and reporters were doing big programs, everyone was amazed and happy about making friends with Russians, and yet Daddy Bush acted mostly like…okay…it wasn’t MY victory, and didn’t talk much at all about Russia.

That was Reagan’s legacy, and he needed one of his own.
To this nobody, it seemed to be a horrible loss. But, you can’t make much money if you don’t have an enemy, can you?
I can’t put up the whole speech here, but I will tell you that Al Gore was in the audience that day.
Now, pay attention to the first two suggestions she gave, and remind yourself, this was said, not in 2015, but in 1989.
What was at the top of the list?
Ms Masses said:
- We should, I believe, energetically propose a generous and comprehensive plan to join forces with the Soviet Union to combat the problems of environmental degradation which threatens our common planet. We are being told today by environmental experts that we have ten years to turn the situation around. In the Soviet Union the situation may be even worse: their expert are saying that for them it is now and perhaps even yesterday.
- We should more vigorously explore the possibility of joining forces to combat terrorism as was proposed recently at an international police conference.
- We could perhaps be a little more sensitive to certain pressing regional concern of the Soviet Union. As one speaker at a recent conferences I attended asked, “How would you like to have Iran on your border?”
Guess what? Ms Massie…the planet is still here…26 years later.
If you go by the usual Washington power politics, you can say that global warming scheme to get everyone into a One World Government, happened on George W.H. Bush’s watch
And— you have to wonder…IF the United States had helped Russia deal with Iran so long ago, would we be in this mess now?
We didn’t help Russia then, but Putin asked us NOW to help deal with the problems of terrorism.
Obama says uh….no. So, the United States and Russia are back to slipping into a cold war again.
And that’s a shame.
Hillary, Jeb, Putin, Oprah…And the Death of Affirmative Action

Nobody Knows: Today I was thinking: It must be nice to not run for President, and have the whole county nominate you anyway. Every single cable channel is shouting out for Hillary Clinton to be President. She is going to run. They’re sure. They take polls. Polls after poll. She will be the candidate in 2016.
But…what if we lived in a world, where a reporter did not announce a candidate for President until that candidate announced that he or she had decided to run officially? Talk about manipulation. By the time the election comes around every one is screaming—“For God’s SAKE, shut up and make her President already…I CAN’T TAKE ONE MORE DAY OF THIS!.”
Nobody Knows if this a well planned psychological brainwashing to get the masses willing to accept the elites favorite to run, but one thing we do know…the American people are simply bystanders.
It’s all staged opera.
And speaking of observing…
Nobody Knows if Jeb Bush, the other “I’m not running but I am everywhere on your TV” is going to be able to convince the conservatives that amnesty is great, (taking away American jobs) giving more visas to foreigners to work at Yahoo is great, (taking away MORE American jobs) Common Core is great, and having a Bush in the White House will trump Hillary Clinton and that will be great.
Can the GOP be THAT stupid? Nobody Knows, but they’ve been on a roll….
And speaking of dynasties,
Nobody Knows just how far Vlad the Impaler—I mean,Vladimir the Putin, is going to go with his invasion plans. He gave us a BIG hint when he said this:
“One must distinguish between Hitler before 1939 and Hitler after 1939. The thing is that Hitler collected [German] lands. If he had become famous only for uniting without a drop of blood Germany with Austria, Sudetenland and Memel, in fact completing what Bismarck failed to do, and if he had stopped there, then he would have remained a politician of the highest class.”
Obama has GOT to be jealous.
So…how is the Ukraine doing?
McDonalds has left. And food is hard to get. Business is off 90 percent. Five to seven truckloads a day have diminished to about one a week. You can look for Russian suppliers, but products cost about 70 percent more and transportation issues are thorny.
Is Putin going to be a big threat in the future? Nobody Knows. But I can’t wait to see him take on the bulls without his shirt on.
And speaking of threats…
Nobody Knows, but Oprah’s step mother is going to write a tell all book about Oprah. Frankly, I don’t know what she is going to tell, because Oprah didn’t want her and her husband, whom Oprah thought were the lower class “Negroes” around her longer than a few hours…but I’m sure you won’t see any of this on CNN.
Only in the tabloids will report the truth about Oprah.
On the other hand, she HAS been living in a house that Oprah owns since she married Oprah’s daddy.
If she sells the book…she can buy her own. Will she? Nobody Knows. But we DO know we can’t wait to see him fight a bull.
And last but not least, the biggest mystery of the week happened today;
Nobody Knows, how you can solve one discrimination with enforcing another, but affirmative action has been doing just that.
The Supreme Court today upheld the voters rights to get rid of affirmative action in the state of Michigan. And two of the Justices got into a fight over it.
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia faulted Justice Sonia Sotomayor for making what he regards as a “shameful” suggestion that the Michigan voters who decided to ban affirmative action in college admissions were motivated by racism.
As Justice Harlan observed over a century ago, ‘[o]ur Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens,'” Scalia concluded, quoting the dissent in Plessy v. Ferguson. “The people of Michigan wish the same for their governing charter. It would be shameful for us to stand in their way.”
Sotomayor offered her own footnote, cutting against Scalia’s charge. “I of course do not mean to suggest that Michigan’s voters acted with anything like the invidious intent of those who historically stymied the rights of racial minorities,” she countered. “But like earlier chapters of political restructuring, the Michigan amendment at issue in this case changed the rules of the political process to the disadvantage of minority members of our society.”
So, generations of poor white kids, who studied hard to get into a college, were denied access because a poor black boy with POOR grads got his spot. It’s not the white people’s fault that the black boy has such a poor education.
Blame the democrats for that. They are the one who run our schools.
Will other states follow Michigan’s example?
Nobody Knows. But affirmatives action, should be thrown into the dustbin of “American BIGGEST mistakes.”
Next week, we’ll discuss why Michelle Obama couldn’t wait a month to go to Asia, when Obama is going next week. That could have saved the taxpayers at least a billion. Or maybe the real question should be:

It’s been another week of great mysteries—which included why would ANYONE tell Joe Biden that he has the best looking facial skin in the world on National TV?….Let’s get started:
Nobody Knows: Today Obama took a big victory speech at the White House, which was more than annoying, it was silly. According to him, Obamacare signed up 7 million people …and he laughed with his big silly grin when he proclaimed there WERE no death panels!
(What? Do you think he’s stupid? Technically, he’s right. You will die when you are refused care, it’s already written into the law.)
This is, of course all baloney, because Obama lied about Benghazi, he lied about everyone keeping their doctor, he lied about Fast and Furious, he lied about Buddy Love, and Reverend Wright and…when doesn’t he lie?
When he’s sleeping.
It’s being said that Obama has spiked the football once again by fudging the numbers, because Obamacare is all about force. The biggest lie is that those people are going to get “affordable” health care.
The moon will disappear from the sky before THAT happens.
Nobody Knows what caused the earthquakes in California and Yellowstone last week, but some are suggesting the Kim Jung Un was detonating nuclear bombs under the ocean for fun because North Korea had one too, so maybe that fault line is getting a bit of a push from Kim Jung. (Update: Another one–8.2 off of Chile)
And that’s not all we don’t know. The great lover of redheaded basketball players decided to shut off some rounds of fire at South Korea:
“North Korea fired 500 rounds of artillery shells over more than three hours, about 100 of which fell south of the sea boundary, South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said. South Korea responded by firing 300 shells into North Korean waters.”
Since Obama has made sure that we can fight only one war at a time, if Kim Jung tries to invade South Korea, at the same time that Putin is invading Europe, what ‘war’ will Obama decide to fight?
(HINT: The war on the 18th hole. )
Nobody Knows, but we DO know that both Obama and John Kerry will declare that “This is just not how any state should act in the 21st century.” assuring the world that they—can look important saying absolutely ridiculous things. .
And speaking of Putin…
Nobody Knows why we have stopped talking about Putin? Which country will Putin go for next? According to a guy who used to work for him, he has a BIG list:
“Parts of Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and Finland are states where Putin claims to have ownership. “It is not on Putin’s agenda today or tomorrow,” Illarionov said. “But if Putin is not stopped, the issue will be brought sooner or later. Putin has said several times that the Bolsheviks and Communists made big mistakes. “
Nobody Knows if someday, some future President of the United States will say: Obama made some big mistakes..” referring to Putin taking back Alaska and Mexico taking
back half the country.
And speaking of taking back half the country….
Nobody Knows if Obama learned to spike the football from the big bankers on Wall Street. It was reported on 60 minutes this week that SOMEBODY spent $350 million on a super cable network on Wall Street–basically rigging the stock market for a few select people. These computers were just a few milliseconds faster, but it was enough to rip billions of dollar off of investors: (see video) by Michael Lewis.
Michael Lewis is not talking about the stock market that you see on television every day. That ceased to be the center of U.S. financial activity years ago, and exists today mostly as a photo-op. This is the stock market that Lewis is talking about; the one where most of the trades take place now, inside hundreds of thousands of these black boxes located at more than 60 public and private exchanges, where billions of dollars in stock change hands every day with little or no public documentation. The trades are being made by thousands of robot computers, programmed to buy and sell every stock on the market at speeds 100 times faster than you can blink an eye. A system so complex, it’s all but invisible.
Michael Lewis: “The insiders are able to move faster than you. They’re able to see your order and play it against other orders in ways that you don’t understand. They’re able to front run your order. From Brad Katsuyama’s point of view, when he heard they were willing to spend that kind of money for milliseconds it told him the sums involved were vast. That was one of the first questions he said he had. He says, “All right, I’m getting ripped off. Everybody’s getting ripped off. But what does it add up to?” And I think when he heard the story of Spread Networks, he realized this is tens of billions of dollars we’re talking about.
Add to that:
American companies have stockpiled nearly a trillion dollars of cash offshore to avoid paying higher tax bills at home, according to an analysis released on Monday.
And last but not least…Nobody Knows whose bright idea it was to put a $400,000 glass camel (courtesy of the American taxpayers) in front of the Pakistan American embassy.
Nobody Wonders just how many days it will be before someone throws a rock at it.

Do American Women REALLY Suffer? Try Asking the American Man

When the Republicans are always on defense. (I had a busy day…sorry I’m late.)
Ahhh…here we go again: Remember when Obama threatened that if we didn’t pass his stimulus plans or raise the debt limits, or pass his health care plans, then: (1) No one would get any of their social security checks,(2) veterans would not get paid (3) women would die in the streets without birth control (4) Republicans would poison our water and air, and (6) American Idol would be canceled.
Okay, so he didn’t threaten to cancel American Idol. After all, they put pictures of him up there all the time….but he might have to shut down the internet if we keep complaining. The point is every time this man wants something, he threatens doomsday scenarios. The “war on women” that the Democrats launched, is a joke. Women aren’t dying, and they have it better now than they have ever had it. More women are graduating college, more women have more rights. Where in the world is Obama coming from?
He just makes this stuff up.
Today it was the single women he was trying to scare by sending out his attack dog Hilary. (Oh no, not another one.) He needs the black’s vote and the single women votes, and anyone else who is getting food stamps. The rest of us are already sick of him.
He’s continuing his rich VS poor communist strategy hoping to point out that Mitt Romney’s wife is a rich woman, who unlike all the rest of you poor single women who HAVE to work, is married to a rich man, and even though she has five sons (and had breast cancer and MS) somehow her life is really easy, unlike his wife Michelle who is having such a tough time taking vacations all over the world. 
Obama wants you to be angry about her life being so easy. Presidents never say these things themselves, (Republican Presidents do the same thing.) so Obama brought out his advisor…Hilary Rosen…to inform everyone that Mitt’s wife is spoiled.

They want you to think Obama was not involved in this. (Giveaway…It was the first thing Jay Carney said today: “I don’t know what he thinks about this.” at the morning press conference.
While the more important news of North Korea launching missiles at us!! Was…uh…not so important.
This was just another creative democratic well-planned attack war to get us all talking about what Obama wants us to be talking about–women. And to a Democrat, all women should work and give their kids totally over to the government to raise. God forbid they stay at home and make cookies.
Michelle came out right away and tweeted an all women deserve respect,” and then we saw clips of Obama saying, “We didn’t have the luxury for Michelle to not work.” –showing you the well-coordinated machine in work. They make their point: hit hard below the belt than come out and say “Oh..that’s not what we meant…oh no.” And to prove it they send in the “good” cop.
Today it was Axelrod.
“I could not disagree with Hilary Rosen any more strongly, her comments were wrong and family should be off-limits. She should apologize.” Jim Messina, Obama Campaign Manager “Also disappointed in Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. They were inappropriate and offensive.” David Axelrod, Obama campaign advisor “families must be off-limits on campaigns.”
Obama repeated that message: “Family should be off limits” after he makes the attack on Mitt’s wife.
Brilliant, you must admit.
Following the interview, Rosen herself tweeted, “I’ve nothing against @AnnRomney. I just don’t want Mitt using her as an expert on women struggling $ to support their family. She isn’t.”
Nasty. And tell me, what makes her such an expert? She’s rich and not struggling either, how does she know?
Now…while the conservatives think they won this argument today, they should think again. The Obama’s personally came out ”sympathetic” and then, like the idiots we have witnessed for too many years, FOX news put on Barbara Bush to defend her. 
BIG Mistake. Anyone would have been better than Barbara Bush.
Once again…Barbara came off as the “rich” person who instead of making sound remarks about the issue, was defending the “rich” habit of giving money away…and how much money she has given away, and how her husband always made a good living…and also Mitt’s wife has given away..yada yada, yada..playing right into Obama’s hand the main points that, they ARE very rich snotty Republicans. We’re very glad you’re nice, and sweet, and give to charities even though you’re rich Barbara, but that’s not the issue.
What she should have said was that since Obama has wreaked the economy so badly, teachers are being laid off. (A point Jay Carney kept bringing up). Teachers are being laid off because of the democratic unions. Mothers are suffering because they can’t pay the high inflationary cost of food and gas because of Obama tripling our deficits, and not producing a budget, and handing out money like a criminal who just stole an American Express card with no limit.
Is what he is doing criminal? You bet.
Now, I know that it’s only human nature to want your children’s children to continue in the “public service” occupation of ruling the nation…but it’s NOT American. And like the Russian people, we are tired of dynasties. Even the nicer ones. Go home you guys. Let him win his own race.
In the meantime, the Democrats ran a black President (that you can’t criticize because of the color of his skin, and who just sent out a “gay” Democratic attack dog, who you can’t criticize because Hilary has a lover named Elizabeth, and two twins.
The democratic party is the party of threats…and if that doesn’t work, they use the children card, the race card, the gay card…the “pity the black, women, gay, underdog” ….whatever it takes to keep their power. They are now a Marxist/Socialist party trying to run as Jesus’s Christ’s party.
So, you want to know if the women really have it that bad in America like Obama is saying?
Just ask the American man…he’ll tell you the real truth.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class.
