The Milky Way is STILL Cruising…
Nobody Notes
Australia has some really strange sounding places…like the Purnululu National Park, where you can find the Bungle Bungees, which look like giant bee-hives or little alien ships ready to attack Gaia! Somebody call Al Gore…quick!
That’s where this picture of the Milky Way was taken, by an Australian photographer named Mike Salway.
Pretty cool!

Cool it is, and hot too. Cool at night and hot by day as the Bungle Bungles are in the desert – and they are HUGE.
That is a brill snap. I wish I could take some like that.
The strange names we have are Aboriginal, like the ‘No idea mate’ which in Aboriginalspeak is ‘Kangaroo’, so named by one of Capt Cook’s chaps who asked a passing Abo what the creature was, to which the Abo answered, ‘Kangaroo’, meaning ‘No idea, mate’. (He may have been a rather thick native or just pulling the naval fellow’s stockinged leg)(or his language construction could have been as poor as this awful effort) 🙂

And that’s why Australia is so lucky! They have YOU to explain everything!
