Nobody Knows
Are you wondering like me, why Oprah has come out of her cave? After all, she was all over the place back in 2008, helping Obama get elected, crying at his speeches…and then, she disappeared. she moved out of her mansion in Chicago to a huge estate in California. And she has been silent for four years.
I thought maybe it was because she just wanted to get fat in private.
Until, just last week when she came out to promote her new film, The Butler. She even got her Afro wig out, which she NEVER wore when she wanted that big white audience. And then—to help keep the race card alive, she had to come out about our horrible racist world.
Yes, she was a victim of racism! Oh…my.
The victimhood of Oprah Winfrey was discussed at our Sunday family dinner last week. Oprah had been insulted at a local Swiss purse mart, where the saleswomen thought, according to Oprah, that she was too black and poor to buy a $38,000 purse.
“If I were Oprah, I would have brought that whole store and fired the lady.” said my brother. His wife agreed. I had a hard time believing that someone could actually feel sorry for Oprah. After all, Oprah has more money than even some small countries, and she could have disregarded the ‘insult,”— showed her license as to who she was, and laughed, and just told the lady how much she made last year. She could have dressed up a bit more. But she choose instead to ruin the saleslady’s whole life and get her fired.
That’s ego. That’s power. That’s “You didn’t SERVE me.” BS.
After all. This was just as much as Oprah being insulted about NOT being recognized as the mega-star she is as about anything else. (see video) In other words…her ego got hurt. There are not many people on the planet, let alone black people, who would be stupid enough to pay $38,000 for this very common looking purse. (Can you say, ‘rip-off?’)
If people of the world are so racist, Oprah would not be so rich. It’s as simple as that.
But wait: Is Oprah making this whole story up?
The Zurich boutique clerk accused of racially profiling Oprah Winfrey is firing back — claiming the Queen of Talk’s account “is not true” and “absurd.”
“I would never say something like that to a customer. Really never,” the unidentified Italian woman told Switzerland’s SonntagsBlick newspaper Sunday, according to a translation from London’s Daily Mail.
“I don’t know why she is making these accusations. She is so powerful and I am just a shop girl,” added the shop attendant, who has worked at the posh Trois Pommes shop for five years.
“I don’t know why someone as great as her must cannibalize me on TV.”
Nobody Knows why someone as ‘great’ as Oprah Winfrey would make up a story about this…but here’s a good guess: Obama’s has his troops out keeping the “race” card alive. Its why he sent Holder down to Florida to make a race case out of a local trial when there was no race case.
It’s why Harry Reid was out saying today that anybody that opposes Obamacare is a racist. And there are plenty of people here in the United States that Oprah could site as being racially “incorrect” to her. All these years she has lived in the racist United States, and she has to go to Switzerland to find one?
Legally and financially, it was smart. Switzerland is a small country and does not even carry her show. She knew she couldn’t pull out the race card here. She would have been laughed at. She has a movie AND Obama to promote…its all about PR.
Oprah got the Swiss government to apologize to her, and many Americans looking at the fact that poor Oprah, is still black in such a prejudice world, and she was born that way, and is still fat. BUT—–
Obama needed her…and she was there. We will be seeing a lot more of Oprah, because Obama is going to use the race card right up until the 2014 elections. In fact, you can bet your falling stars that this movie was made for EXACTLY that purpose…to help the President. (Really, it’s all about blacks and the White House, how is THAT for a coincidence?)
As for Oprah, I never watched her show much. When she made the big deal about Tom Cruise jumping on her couch, I knew she was a snob. So…where was Oprah when Obama said this about Sarah Palin:
“You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”
Where was Oprah? Am I a racist because I think that line could be applied to Oprah? (No.)
Sorry. She is SUCH a snob. And that’s why she has been replaced with Duck Dynasty.
Who’s telling the truth about the incident? Oprah or the saleswoman?
Nobody Knows. But we do know a victim when we see one…and Oprah is not it.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

There is not one redeeming comment in your article. You’re just a hater that’s all.. Oprah has probably helped more random people over the years, (not to mention a school she built herself for young women in Africa) here in the US and of course you wouldn’t know about that since you never watched her much right? and your remark about laying around and getting fat… that was real classy too.. NOT. What have you contributed to the world that can compare ?? I think you’re just jealous 🙂

Mmmm…I don’t ‘hate’ Oprah, like you said, I don’t know her. But I do not like Oprah AND The Obama’s playing the race card, every single day…that’s HATE. Oprah is the richest woman in America, and Obama was elected President. If America was as racist as Oprah and the Obama’s make it out to be, they would have NEVER gotten to the top. The RACE card is hatred. Has Oprah helped people? Yes. But…so do the soldiers in Iraq…they help more people every day than Oprah does. I thought the whole purse thing was a farce. Such ego. Good god. Although, you’re point about me saying she was fat…you know, that did sound cruel. Oprah is fat. I have been fat. Being fat is not fun. But, she got me so mad with her “they wouldn’t serve the black queen nonsense” it just came out. Yes, I was angry at her. She of ALL people has made whole shows about her weight…For YEARS the tabloids were on Oprah about her diets, her up and down fatness…so should I apologize for saying she was fat? Okay. She is. I feel sorry for her. But, I won’t apologize about her using the race card, it’s political. And it’s mean. I get insulted every single time she plays it. It’s political. It damaging to the whole country. I am 62, there are many black people who remember when days were better, but Oprah and the Obama have to keep putting that “Once upon a time blacks were SLAVES!” and it was not MY generation or YOUR generation that did this, and to keep harping on it does nobody any good. It’s just stirs up the pot of hatred on both sides, and that’s exactly what they want to do. . While I have not contributed as much to the world as Oprah, I certainly can look myself in the mirror each night and know I haven’t lied, used people, done drugs,(she, like Obama was big on cocaine) and remain free of such arrogance. And yes, I have watched her show. She is good at what she does. A lot of people are good at what they do. But, they are not mean. Oprah is rich. She could have walked out of that store and gotten that purse anywhere. But she WANTED to make an issue of it. Good god —Switzerland had to apologize to her. What…an…ego. (and the poor lady got fired) Did it help the race relations of the world? Hardly. All it did was get the ‘race’ card played one more time.

hey, if that gal was being racist then she got what’s coming to her. Oprah is and always has been more of a peace maker. She had nothing to gain by slamming someone for no reason. She was in another country so it had no bearing on politics here in the U.S. She didn’t just go report it either. She was doing some kind of interview and the subject came up and she shared that story. I’m white and 63. I remember debating over inter racial dating when I was 15 yrs old and being slammed for defending people who happen to be different races wanting to date or even marry. I never learned how to hate from my parents. I never learned about differences in people so it made me angry that anyone would think inter racial wasn’t ok. I still feel that way today. When our President Obama was running for President you better believe that all those previously quiet racists and bigots spoke up loud and clear. Why Christians would rather put a NON Christian (in their eyes) in the Whitehouse then a Black man and that’s the bottom line. When he was elected a lot of those fundamentalist right wing extremists made a pack to do whatever it took to sabotage anything and everything Obama tries to get accomplished. Obama not once has he played the race card…. but there are plenty of democrats who have spoken about it. Obama just keeps on keepin on and I for one am so proud of his courage . Those bigots here in the U.S. will call it anything but bigotry or racism… but that is what it has been and I’m white and Christian myself. The GOP republicans have a growing group in Washington who are extremists and fundamentalist Christians and they will lie and not present true information to the public in order to get people to vote for them.. Of course there are many lies being told and I’ve caught some of those people in the middle of them myself. I understand how some people can over use the race card…but I don’t believe that in these instances one bit. But then you don’t live here, I do. I will no longer attend the average Christian church who preaches against gay marriage because once again, its those extremist politicians who are pushing this agenda. They say they are Christians and want to help people… well…. it’s all bullshit. They want to keep the poor down and today it isn’t just the poor… its middleclass people like myself… I would probably be dead right now if I was not able to take advantage of the affordable care act health insurance. The republicans have gone so overboard since we elected a black president that I can honestly say I have never in my entire life witnessed such complete disrespect from republicans and it is despicable and people notice it all the time. And I will tell you flat out…a big part of it is he is black and they cannot stand it!!!! Those who are truely racist and bigoted. It does not take a rocket scientist to see what it is and that it’s a big part of what it is . They can wrap it up and say its because of something else what ever… but the bottom line is that he aint the right color for them. I call it as I see it and that is what I see. It is truly disgusting.
