Nobody’s Perfect: Assad VS Obama
Nobody’s Perfect:
Who kills more innocent people in war?…Assad or Obama?
First Up: Assad:
On the front page this week, was the story of a massive killing of people, not by gunfire, but by chemical weapons in Syria. It is being reported that the Russian-loving dictator Bashar Assad, did a Saddam Hussein, and used gas to kill ‘his’ enemies.
According to all international UN degrees, countries are allowed to kill in the good old fashion normal way, you know, with bombs, planes, drones, knives, bad food, starvation, torture, guns, Jackie Chan video’s…BUT…they are NOT allowed to use chemical weapons. That’s where the buck stops. It’s reported about 300 were killed.
Obama, who took out his red pencil, …said he would retaliate because women, children, and innocents were killed by Assad…and this was it. He is going to attack.
Sometime.
Bashar Assad must cooperate with the international community and prove that his regime has not committed this horrific crime, allowing unrestricted access for the UN and OPCW Â (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) to investigate on the ground in Syria.’
The CIA believes Syria has had a chemical weapons programme for years. There is grave concern in the UK and US that its stockpile of chemical weapons – approximately 1,000 tons, stored in 50 towns – could fall into the hands of Al Qaeda to be turned on Western targets.
Translation: Our CIA has lost our WMD’s…….again!
And then there’s ‘President’ Barack Obama: It seems, he doesn’t need Congress to do much of anything because very quietly, he has been killing our enemies overseas with drone strikes, which by the way, are not as exact as they might like you to think.
Like George Bush’s government in Iraq, Obama’s administration neither documents nor acknowledges the civilian casualties of the CIA’s drone strikes in Pakistan. But a report by the law schools at Stanford and New York universities suggests that during the first three years of his time in office, the 259 strikes for which he is ultimately responsible killed between 297 and 569 civilians, of whom at least 64 were children.
So, Assad uses chemical weapons, Obama uses drones. Sorry…..I just don’t get it. If you are killed by WHATEVER reason in war…in the words of our next president:
WHAT DIFFERENCEÂ DOES IT MAKE? You’re still DEAD!
Nobody Wonders what money has to do with all this picking and choosing what nations can use to kill people, but I bet it has something to do with money, and protecting powerful politician’s butts. (Doesn’t everything?)
So, who wins the Nobody’s Perfect award when it comes to killing people?
Since the start of the year, 144 U.S. soldiers have been killed on duty in Afghanistan, while at least 240 people have been shot dead in Chicago.
Over the course of the war since 2001, around 2,000 U.S. troops have died in Afghanistan compared to the 5,000 gunfire victims in the Illinois city.
Yes–Chicago wins, hands down, in how to kill the most people. And that’s not even counting Planned Parenthood!
Congratulation Chicago! You are making Al Gore’s dream of a world without so many energy consumers possible with every passing gang shooting!
And to think: Chicago is Obama’s home town. They must be so00000000000 proud.

All very good points, Joyanna.
We can add in another few:
Women and children killed = BAD. I suppose then that killing the menfolk is nothing worth even a mention.
Then there is the WMD. If a pressure cooker, found in most homes, is to be classified as a WMD, and they generally just make steam, what of other ‘home-cooked’ gasses? If it is ‘found’ that the poisoned gasses were actually let loose by those opposing Assad, would Obama want to overthrow them? Would he send troops to fight the revolutionaries?
I very much doubt it.
Indeed, it would be interesting to see Obama (and all the other ‘world leaders’, including our own Kevin Rudd) disappear in a cloud of gasses up their own rear orifices.
By the way – here is a laugh: Kevin Rudd went on TV to say he was interrupting his electioneering campaign to get a briefing on the Syrian situation – as though it were any of his or Australia’s damned business anyway – putting on a ‘serious’ ‘Prime Minister’ face and extolling the importance of it. Then he went off to a TV cooking studio to be filmed doing a show in a kitchen. I hope he was not let anywhere near a pressure cooker.

Wow…everybody is getting ‘briefed?” What is so funny about Syria is that supposedly Assad has already killed 100,000… But it was those last 300 that actually got Obama mad. Go figure.
