Nobody Flashes: Happy 4th of July!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

I hope everyone..has a great day today.

For my own celebration, I’m reading this before the day begins, eternal words written by Thomas Jefferson and more thoughts from Tocqueville.  The Declaration of Independence was one of the most sublime documents ever written by man. It STILLS belongs to “We the People” and we should not forget that this day. Also remember that Obama leaves out the word Creator whenever he recites these words…every single time.

Trading welfare for power is the second oldest profession. Wherever the government seems to provide, it actually rules. This is the “mild” despotism feared by Alexis de Tocqueville, the brilliant 19th century political thinker whose writing inspired Friedrich Hayek’s Road to Serfdom. This seemingly benevolent form of dictatorship, he wrote in the second volume of Democracy in America, is a tyranny that would “degrade men without tormenting them,” “an immense and tutelary power, which takes upon itself alone to secure [people’s] gratifications, and to watch over their fate. That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident and mild. It would be like the authority of a parent, if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks on the contrary to keep them in perpetual childhood.”

The Cost of Our Freedom…

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died.  Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army: another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants. Nine were farmers and large plantation owners….men of means…well educated…but they signed the Declaration of independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured. Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson , Jr., noted that the British general, Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The British jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she lay dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. HIs fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.

Freedom…is never free.

1) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when we have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black. 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in America could we have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America would we make people who want to legally become Americans citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just become American citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as “extremists.”

7) Only in America could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because of the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes. (Nike)

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year for total spending of $7 million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America could the rich people who pay 86% of all income taxes be accused of not paying their “fair share” by people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.

Nobody’s Perfect: Jonathan Krohn VS Victoria Grant

Nobody’s Perfect

I first saw Jonathan Kroch when he was 14, on Fox News. It was clear he was some kind of genius, and the conservatives were thrilled to have such a small and talented little miniature future conservative politician walking among us. But, it seemed, like our Supreme Court leader, Mr. Roberts…Jonathan is no longer the conservative. The little genius has wandered into the German philosophers that ALL universities stuff the most promising minds with. It’s pure socialists propaganda…I know, I thought it was great stuff too when I first read it.

I got over it. Once you get OUT of that university, you realize that it’s a fantasy land, and the German philosophers are better off dead.

Thus Spoke…Nobody.

Here’s what the kid believes:

Gay marriage? In favor. Obamacare? “It’s a good idea.” Who would he vote for (if he could) in November? “Probably Barack Obama.” His favorite TV shows? “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report.” His favorite magazine? The New Yorker. And, perhaps telling of all, Krohn is enrolling this
fall at a college not exactly known for its conservatism: New York University.

“I started reflecting on a lot of what I wrote, just thinking about what I had said and what I had done and started reading a lot of other stuff, and not just political stuff,” Krohn said. “I started getting into philosophy — Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Kant and lots of other German philosophers. And then into present philosophers — Saul Kripke, David Chalmers. It was really reading philosophy that didn’t have anything to do with politics that gave me a breather and made me realize that a log of what I said was ideological blather that really wasn’t meaningful. It wasn’t me thinking. It was just me saying things that I had heard so long from people that I thought were interesting and just came to believe for some reason, without really understanding it. I understood it enough to talk about it but not really enough to have a converstion about it.”

Trust me folks, the fact that he likes Obamacare shows that he doesn’t understand a thing he is reading, NOW either!

Now, compare him to this young girl, Victoria Grant. She is reading her opinions here, but it’s very obvious she understand it completely. She has much more common sense, and is not effected in the least, by the thrill of herself, as Jonathan is.

If I had to pick which one of these kids was going to go far in life, I’d would pick Jonathan. It’s obvious, he has the gift of gab….much like his favorite candidate, Obama. Nevertheless, fame isn’t everything.

Nobody Thinks the young girl…has the higher intellect. 

Still, compared to the rest of the kids at their age, both of these young people are marvelous. When I was their age, I was wandering along the beaches at night, picking up seashells, and staring at the stars…

Having grown up in Naples, FL, I think I’ve seen just about every alligator and croc around. My parents told me when I was a kid, NOT to go down to the lake down the street because of the alligators. I, of course, wanted to see them for myself (I was six) so one hot afternoon I went down to that lake, and sat on the bank looking for my first alligator.

After about twenty minutes, which to someone who is six, is an eternity, I saw nothing. I began to think my parents were lying to me.  I was getting pretty bored when I noticed that in the water, about 24 feet in front of me, was a pretty silly looking log. And then, I noticed the log sort of…moved.

To say it was probably the second most frightening moment of my life is an understatement. I froze. For a good five minutes I did not even hardly breathe. All I kept thinking was, “I hope he’s not hungry!”

Since he did not come after me, I decided to get up very slowly and BACK away at a snails’ pace. The old guy must have been asleep because he did not have me for lunch. 

I never told my mother..in fact, I never told anyone in order to not appear…stupid. But that guy was no match for these. He was only about 12 feet. While people make a big deal about the difference between crocs and alligators, they will both try to eat you if they can. They’re like cousins.

Here’s a croc that a good deal bigger by the boat. That’s the Australian Brutus (that’s his name) who they use as a tourist attraction by feeding him buffalo meat. He does a good job even without the one leg.

The other croc was just captured in the Philippines, 21 feet, and weighs a ton. They are going to use him to attract tourists also. It took 100 men to catch him, and they say…that there is one even bigger that they haven’t caught yet.

So, you can bet that somewhere in the Philippines is a little kid, whose parents have told them NOT to go near that water, who are doing that exact same thing I once did…go looking for it.  

Childhood curiosity will almost always outweigh risk that you are too stupid to comprehend….and some people never grow out of it—

Unless of course, you are more afraid of your mother.

Supernatural Secession

Call it a coincidence, call it an omen from God, call it weather manipulation, call it a sign, call it Biblical, call it what you will, but right after the largest tax in American history was passed, by the hand of a trusted man, great storm clouds and winds came out of nowhere and put millions of people out of power, all up and down the Eastern seaboard. All of a sudden the screaming from the masses of what many considered one of the greatest blows to our Constitution and our American way of life..got put on hold. Survival became number one for millions of people in the East, and in the West.

You might be one of them. Now, I wasn’t there, but I haven’t heard any explanation of how ONE storm cloud could wreck so much havoc in so many states..or how so many fires could have gotten started.

Coincidence?

Here in the Midwest, my air-conditioner is still working despite the 108,106,104 temperatures, but the grocery stores are running out of bottled water. The West is burning— the East is without an electrical grid. Not only are our healthcare bills going to go up, (see video) think of all the insurance rates going up due to the loss of property caused by these last two years alone.

Global warming? Armageddon? Natural cycles of the earth? HARP? Who knows? Who cares? What does matter is our government is, in the worst of times, trying to divide us all, and while we suffer, they continue to harm us…drones, armies in the cities, black riots instigated by Presidential
cronies, heavy inflation and high unemployment.

Drudge’s headline today: D.C. dark for days. Well…Nobody Thinks you should not even bother turning the lights back on. Shut it down, before it destroys what’s left. That’s not my government anymore. Oh sure, I live here…but it’s starting to feel like Russia.

Obama has gotten whatever he wanted, just like another man across the sea…hmmmm…Who does that sound like?

Putin..the man who was given a street named after him by the Palestinians…the very street where Jesus walked, is now the Putin Way. Putin was all smiles and freedom loving when he was elected, but like Obama, is was all a lie. 

“In his first speech as president — hand-picked by ailing President Boris Yeltsyn in 2000 — Putin promised: “Freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of the press, the right to private property — these basic principles of a civilized society will be protected.” Referring to the constitutional rights of the Russian people, there was one flaw — the right of the citizens to bear arms to protect themselves is nowhere to be found in the Russian Constitution, adopted in 1993.”

Is a street in Jeruselam named after Putin is not an Evil sign, then I don’t know what is. The communists, and the Allah boys are joining groups to defeat the West…and they have the perfect man in the White House to do it. Obama is going full speed ahead:

“On this year’s report, there were 68 special assistants to the president, 22 assistants to the president and 24 deputy assistants. They cover a wide range of specializations from legislative affairs to economic policy and presidential correspondence.”

Tell me…does he really need all those people? Vladimir Obama has ONE more issue to put in place: He wants our guns. My shotgun in the basement is on the short list for Obama, and people know what’s coming. Guns have had a 36 percent growth in sales, and Google is now refusing to sell guns or anything pertaining to such.

So, I don’t know about you, but this 4th of July, I’m stocking up on bullets. If the Supreme Court won’t uphold the law, Obama WILL come after our guns. If you don’t know it, then you have been too busy trying to put food on your table, but now I’m telling you…it wouldn’t hurt to stock up. Our right to bear arms is all that’s left from us becoming like the rest of the world.

On that supernatural day that the Supreme Court made it’s announcement, Rupert Murdoch was interviewed by Neil Cavuto. He said that he had given up on England, but thought America was going to be okay. And then, days later he tweeted this:

Met Romney last week. Tough O Chicago pros will be hard to beat unless he drops old friends from team and hires some real pros. Doubtful.

Nobody Thinks he was giving advice to Romney, but…it was like a blow to the stomach. Why don’t these people make up their minds. America..or NOT? We are divided from our leaders. They no longer represent us. They are on a whole other supernatual plane of existance…and Supernatural is starting to come to life. Dean and Sam Winchester, demons and angels, the fight is now on.

Count me in…and pray for a supernatual secession.

Update:

Sorry about the change here…my other template would not let me “review” what I was posting, and so, I had to do something…I’m not sure if changing templates is going to solve the problem but we will see!

If you like the change…say so..if it’s too hard to read because it’s so dark…make a comment and I’ll find another one. WordPress had many to choose from!

Anyway, since it’s getting near my FAVORITE holiday…bear with me…while I try to figure this stuff out.

(Oh, I do need a new picture that’s for sure. )

Tony VS Nigel: Look What Happened…

I was just looking around when I happened upon this gem…from 2005. Notice that Nigel doesn’t see why England has to pay for sewers in Budapest when London needs repairs. And most Americans don’t see why we have to go around the world and build everyone’s else’s schools and infrastructure when we need to fix our own country.

The elites in our government, and the European Union…want to redistribute it all, and they are doing a piss poor job of it, but they are all getting rich.

America is waking up to the fraud and the criminals on both sides of the Ocean.

Now, pay special attention to Tony Blair’s big European Union Promises of utopia on earth at the end of it. You can’t “engineer” society or economic systems: freedom is the only answer.
