Nobody Cares If I Love Puppies
Nobody Cares
Ah…come on. Put a puppy in commercial with those beautiful creatures and you have a winner.
I’m watching it one…more…time…because it makes me feel good.
They had me at the first bark.

About
I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class. I was a musician most of my life: drummer/singer/keyboards—but I retired before the plastic surgery flu hit. I have no degrees, which could be a good thing…depending on how you view our educational system. I do have three patents…but that really doesn’t make me a somebody. The one thing that is constant in my life is my OPINIONS, which i have more than perhaps even Carl Sagan could have imagined…mostly political. (yes…my ancestors were crabby buggers)
Hopefully other nobody’s will put their opinions on my site. But, if you happen to be a somebody, you’re more than welcomed to help out.
It’s my Nobody Opinion that Nobody’s Perfect, and Nobody Cares, that Nobody Knows why Nobody Wins, and when that happens, Nobody Wonders, why Nobody Flashes, why Nobody’s Fooled, but then Nobody remembers that Nobody ALWAYS Reports the truth.

Four years ago my wife was returning home on a 2-lane mountain road in a sleet storm. She came around a curve and saw a dog sitting there in the middle of the slush-covered road. She pulled up next to the dog and opened the door to see if it was injured. The poor dog laid over on her back and started wimpering so my wife *had to* pick her up and put her in the car.
At home, we saw that the dog was wearing a collar but it was biting into her neck so badly that we had to cut it off. She was filthy dirty like she had been in the wild for months and her ribs were showing. We gave her a warm bath and some food, then she laid down and slept. The next day we took her to the vet and he discovered that she had several kinds of intestinal parasites, which he treated.
We thought of putting up a “found dog” sign, but decided that the jerk who did this to the poor dog didn’t deserve to have her back so we just kept her. She’s fat and happy and part of the family now. She still lays over on her back and wants her tummy rubbed so apparently her behavior on that icy road was just a trick to find a new owner. It worked!

Ahhhhh…that’s is so sweet! And a happy ending…:) I like to think those kind of synchronicity events in our lives are actually not coincidence. You and your wife are great people for taking in a lost soul. I’ve always had dogs in my life, and whenever the bad days come, all you need is that puppy kiss…to right the world. Thanks for sharing that story….I’m a real sucker for dogs.
