Nobody Remembers George Washington: You Can’t Say He Didn’t Warn Us

Nobody RemembersGeorge Washington's Address

Today, Hillary Clinton, compared the GOP’s attitude toward women, as bad as the terrorists, which is amazing considering the fact that video’s of Planned Parenthood executives have been taped laughing and bragging about all the money they are making off of butchered aborted fetuses. These videos have been just as shocking to Americans, as ISIS cutting off human heads. her typical Mammy-jammer fashion, Hillary turns that around, and accuses the GOP of being MUCH worse…Why they want to deprive women of health care! It’s party politics at its finest, and so I thought it rather propitious at this time in our history dig today, to ponder what George Washington, the father of our nation, warned us all about in his last farewell address:

Really, stop here if you don’t want to get depressed: In George Washington’s last address to the nation he had three main points:

FIRST: He pleads at length, and passionately, against the ‘baneful effects of the Spirit of the Party.’George Washington two

“Differences, arguments, and debates there must be. But a common devotion to the Union, as the source of “your collective and individual happiness,” is the very foundation of the state. Central to this is respect of the Constitution: “The Constitution which at any time exists, till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People, is sacredly obligatory on all.”

Well, THAT was pretty much thrown out the window after he left office, The Constitution died quite a while ago to our leaders, and it’s been a dirty little secret that it’s pretty much dead.  People are just figuring it out.  The parties are so much alike, that now the fights are like the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s, except the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s were much more civil.

The fighting between the parties are like dogs all fighting for the same bone. Which is why people are sick of them all.

Can’t say George didn’t warn us.

“All obstructions to the execution of the Laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. “

One word: Obama, has done all of this. He ignores every law and writes his own, and George was right…it HAS been fatal.George Washinton's 3

Can’t say George didn’t warn us about that one either.

Washington believed that with law America was everything: without the law, it was nothing. Can you say…Amnesty?

SECOND:  He thought it most important to keep clear of foreign entanglements. Isolation? Not at all. Independence? Yes.

The BEST advice ever given, unfortunately, nobody listened to it.

Can’t say he didn’t warn us.

THIRD:  To Washington, it was most important to have a government of morals.

“Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. Anyway who tried to undermine these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizen was the very opposite of a patriot. Morality, cannot be sustained without religion. “

Well, there you go…We have come to the Clinton’s and the Obama’s—– the most immoral Presidents in American History. What would George have to say about them?

He’d have them shot. Really. That’s what they did in those days.

Yes, Washington worked hard to give us the first Constitution of the world, and he told us how to keep it.

You can’t say, he didn’t warn us all.George Washington 5

Nobody Remember George Washington and Donald Trump

Nobody Remembers

Since we have been watching Obama make lame speeches about the Ukraine situation all week, and Putin making a fool out of him, only to find John Kerry THEN have to make a long speech because well, in his own mind he IS President, or should be, and wants everyone to know that…I came upon this quote by George Washington and it just fits the week.

That pretty much sums up WHY we are in the mess we are in. Obama is destroying our military, and spending us into oblivion. George Washington

There is a rank due to the United States among nations which will be withheld, if not absolutely lost, by the reputation of weakness. If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it: if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known that we are at all times ready for war.

                                                                                                                —George Washington

And since Donald Trump gave such a great speech at CPAC, I figured I’d post it. In the last election, I was for Donald Trump. I have always been a fan of Trump. He is proud of being rich, and why not? I agree with just about everything he says here. But then, that’s me. Trump knows, and George Washington would agree, you have to be at all times ready for war, and that takes money, and Trump would be the best person to know, just how to produce jobs…if you have never read any of his books, go ahead…you cannot help but admire the man.

And the point I most agree with him on, is WHY did we not take Iraq oil? Was it really all about payback for Hussein trying to kill Daddy Bush? Have you noticed that President George W. Bush has never been asked about the loss of Iraq?  Sometimes Nobody Wonders…..

Anyway, Enjoy.

President’s Day: It’s all about the money…

Nobody Flashes

Today is President’s Day, and what does it mean to most American?George Washington

First: No Trash pickup

Second: No mail

Third: All government workers get a day off, which is half the working people in the United States.

While the original intention was to honor George Washington’s Birthday, leave it to politicians to change things they don’t like….and in this case we now celebrate President’s Day in order to give a day off to workers…they just expanded the holidays:

This from History:

The shift from Washington’s Birthday to Presidents’ Day began in the late 1960s when Congress proposed a measure known as the Uniform Monday Holiday Act. Championed by Senator Robert McClory of Illinois, this law sought to shift the celebration of several federal holidays from specific dates to a series of predetermined Mondays. The proposed change was seen by many as a novel way to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers, and it was believed that ensuring holidays always fell on the same weekday would reduce employee absenteeism. While some argued that shifting holidays from their original dates would cheapen their meaning, the bill also had widespread support from both the private sector and labor unions and was seen as a surefire way to bolster retail sales.

So…LOL…it’s still the old line…GO SHOPPING!

Later on, Presidents decided (Richard Nixon) that ALL presidents should be honored on Presidents Day, due mainly to ego…what else?corporations

And in case you haven’t noticed, this last week, there was a report put out on the richest and poorest Presidents. George Washington was said to have (by today’s standards) $525 million…making him look like one of those RICH elites: While Woodrow Wilson, the father of the ‘progressives’ was poor. Nowhere in this historical reporting were the Bushes, Clinton’s, or Obama’s.

God forbid anyone think THEY have money.

So, this Nobody plans to celebrate on George’s ACTUAL birthday, this Saturday…the 22nd. I plan to go buy a lottery ticket.

And take out the trash.

George Washington’s Little Black Book

Nobody Reports

It’s President’s Day...named after George Washington’s Birthday on the 22nd, but later people tried to get whatever favorite President they could in it.

I say…leave it to George.

Before George Washington became the great leader that he was…there was a real reason he was so loved. When he was younger, he carried a little book around with him called, “Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior.” There are 110 rules in this book. Here’s a few of them:

Rule No. 2: When in company, put not your hands to any part of the body, not usually discovered.

Nobody Wonders: Imagine George Washington watching Michael Jackson singing “Beat it.”

Rule No. 7: Put not off your clothes in the presence of others, nor go out your chamber half-dressed.

Nobody Wonders: Imagine George going to a strip club at Mardi Gras, or even seeing Barney Frank giving a speech on the floor of the Congress.

Rule No. 24: Do not laugh too much or too loud in public.

Nobody Wonders: George would not have liked my father, who could wake the dead with his laugh whenever we went to the movies.

Rule No. 41: Undertake not to teach your equal in the art himself professes, it savours of arrogance.

Nobody Wonders:  Obama would have annoyed George to no ends. He lives and breathes it.

Rule No. 57: Associate yourself with men of good quality, if you esteem your reputation: for it is better to be alone than in bad company.

Nobody Wonders: that why Obama said he was asleep in Jeremiah Wright’s church all those year?

Rule No. 76: While you are talking, point not with your finger at him of whom you discourse nor approach too near him to whom you talk, especially to his face.

Nobody Says: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Rule No. 82: Undertake not what you cannot perform, but be careful to keep your promise.

Nobody Wonders what George Washington would think of any of today’s politician.

And my personal favorite

Rule No. 110: Labour to keep alive in your breast that little celestial fire called conscience.

And that’s what is missing from our leaders of today. The fire of conscience, was left upon the shining hill, stomped into mud, slashed with lies, covered with cash, and only comes out from under the rock, for brief moments, usually during elections.

Happy Birthday George! We wish you were here.

Daniel Hannan at CPAC…Happy Valentines Day!

Nobody’s Perfect

Me, I’m not perfect…. I began to write my usual Tuesday’s Nobody’s Perfect column, and then I ran into this. As I listened to my most favorite speaker on the planet, my heart began throbbing like a young schoolgirl.

Sorry. This is the perfect speech, and I just can’t help myself. Anyone who believes in freedom, should take the time to listen to this masterpiece.

While everyone is watching Sarah Palin, and all the American speakers, Nobody Thinks, it’s Daniel for me, who presented in his usual brilliant way, why we should fight like hell to preserve what we have.

He talks about Reagan, Jefferson, our Constitution, Washington, and cracks some pretty good jokes. I LOVE this guy, and I just know, if you listen to will too.

Enjoy and Happy Valentines’ Day!

Integrity: Is Such a Lonely Word

Nobody’s Opinion

“Integrity and firmness are all I can promise. These, be the voyage long or short, shall never forsake me, although I may be deserted by all men: for of the consolations, which are to be derived from these, under any circumstances, the world cannot deprive me. ”    George Washington
Nobody Remembers

—-that long ago, when America was founded, the integrity of a man meant something. Our founders wrote about it—they strove to be decent, honest, caring, and proud. Integrity has fact, men with little integrity are all over the news today.

Nobody’s Perfect
One man a bit short on it is Bill Gates. He was being interviewed by Christiane Amanpour today, and I was having a hard time watching him. I don’t see how any man can have the sheer tenacity to expect the American people to “pay” for the rest of the world’s many problems, but that’s exactly what he wants. He says the rich only have so much money so it only makes sense that WE the American people have to help the poor all over the world. It won’t cost us much he says…only 1%.
Nobody Cares if it costs 2o percent, it’s not his job to redistribute our money.

He is NOT an elected official.

Steve Jobs evidently has said some pretty nasty things about him in a newly released book, so Bill made a few comments about some people “going to India”or experimenting with drugs…and how Steve’s products cost too much..etc. Nevertheless, Bill Gates wants our money…to save the world.

Anyone who has had to pay $35 dollars a minute just to ask a “man in India” how come their new Microsoft product doesn’t work, knows all they need to know about Bill Gates. Steve was made out to be a cantankerous, sometimes mean and cruel, but the “sweetness” of Bill Gates gives me the friggin creeps.

And speaking of creepy…

Nobody Knows
Just this past week, we have witnessed gigantic lies being spewed out like hoards of Canadian flies, by our fearless leaders on both sides of the Atlantic.

Obama came out and announced that every single American soldier would be bought home from Iraq by the end of December. That’s a lie. In fact, thousands of them are going to Kuwait and he is also sending more ships to the Persian Gulf.

Iranian war fever is being pumped up by everyone, and those of us here who could care less about some kind of assassination attempt of some Saudi ambassador..have found out once again, that our opinion doesn’t matter.  It seems our Congress and even the Tea Party Candidate Michelle Bachmann is up in arms about it and ready to go to war with Iran.

Over an ‘attempt’.

Never mind that NO one was assassinated, and that the United States has been assassinating men on their soil for quite some time now. And since Obama seems to be on a roll, why not just assassinate Ahmadinejad? Is it any wonder we seem like hypocrites to the world?

Nobody Cares
On the other side of the Atlantic, our old mother England, under the strong arm of Cameron, has completely ignored it’s promises ( they lie too) to give their own people the right to vote on whether to even be a part of the EU.

European democracy…is dead according to Vox Day:

Being for the most part historically illiterate, few intellectuals are prepared to admit that modern representative democracy and the basic concept of individual rights are 18th century phenomena that were the byproducts of a Christian society. They prefer to attribute both institutions to the Enlightenment, despite the fact that it was the Enlightenment that led directly to the revolutionary horrors of the French revolution and it is the Enlightenment that presently serves as the inspiration for the anti-democratic authoritarian bureaucracy of the European Union. the United Kingdom, all three major political parties are actively denying the English, Welsh and Scottish peoples the opportunity to vote on continued subjugation to the European Union, despite the fact that all three parties promised a referendum on the EU of one sort or another.

Nobody Wins
WhenEurope loses all sense of democracy, the United States will be right behind her.  Democracy, and integrity go hand in hand and the written laws of both countries are being completely ignored.

Nobody Flashes
Jeb Bush just said this:

Republican candidates should categorically reject the notion that President Obama was not born in the United States,” said Bush. “It is a complete distraction from the failed economic policies of the president.”

Nobody Thinks
that Jeb Bush will run someday for President with Mark Rubio as his VP. Rubio, cannot be President under our Constitution. If that one rule would have been followed, we would not be in the horrible mess.

Over in England, the rules of ascendency to the throne are being ignored and changed. Girl royal babies can now inherit the throne.  What a better way for the Royal family to keep in the good graces of the people than to have the new royal couple have girl child, name her Diana, and then the future of the monarchy will thrive on the memory of the most beloved Royal in our lifetime?

Nobody’s Fool

The good news is: I witnessed true integrity in a humble baseball couch today. Who knew? Surprised the heck out of me. After all the big World Series parades, the confetti, the cheers,— Tony  la Russa, the Coach of the Cardinals, got up and talked about…How proud he was…no wait…he didn’t talk about that. He started off with his love of the Busch Clysdesdales horses….and how happy he was that they were using them again. He said it was one of the reasons he came to St. Louis. He loves those horses.

There were not many dry eyes today as we watched Tony ride into the stadium on beer truck pulled by those magnificent animals. As they lead the parade. Each beautiful leg prancing high steps….strong. Proud.  Champions in their own right…and right in the middle of the street…among all the cheers,  one of the lead horses leaned over to the other lead horse and they both nuzzles each other as if to say…

“I love much….isn’t this the best?”
They knew, who knows how? But they knew.

Tony didn’t say the usual blah blah…team…yada yada speech. No…more than any man there..he was the one who really thanked the fans…by mentioning how the people stood up…in the 9th innings, when the Cardinals were down…all hope lost, and cheered the guys on to win. Without that moment long ago, they would not have won the series, Tony said, and it was the people that did it. And then Tony showed true class. Out of the blue, he bought up a player who didn’t even get to play. He praised the integrity of the man.

Maybe we should put the coaches in charge.

So I’m thinking tonight of Billy Joel’s song…Honesty…with new words:

“ such a lonely word, everyone is so untrue…Integrity is hardly ever heard, but mostly what we need from you.”Integrity. You know it, when you see it, and you don’t see enough of it.
