Her fervent fight to educate Americans on the religion of Islam is fearless, and fantastic.

Here’s what we are being told to believe: The Russians hacked into the Democratic emails, gave them to Julian Assange, and that effected the course of the 2016 election.
Hillary Clinton should rightfully be President. If we didn’t find out from those emails just how corrupt and in bed with the media she was, how much she cheated, and the fact that they kept talking about Pizza, which was code for something, although nobody seems to know what, then Hillary would be President and all the world would be happy. 
This Nobody Wonders: “Okay, if I were Putin, who would I want to be President? Hillary Clinton, who gave Putin a sweet deal on American Uranium and who can be easily bought with money, or Donald Trump, who will build up the military and bring it back to superpower status, and who can’t be bought?”
Smart people, are not buying this con:
“These are the same people who said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” Trump’s transition team said in a statement that made jaws drop across the intelligence world, where many blame the George W. Bush administration, not spy agencies, for selective use of the data that led to the war.
Let’s say that Putin thought Hillary, unlike Trump, would start WWIII, and he really did help get those emails out there? Then we should thank him.
And by the way, let’s all admit now, that if this is true, it’s Hillary’s own fault for putting up her own server with the less protection than a yahoo email account.
It’s Hillary’s fault, not Russia’s. It would be as if I left my new IPhone 5 on the desk of the NSA office, and then got mad when they found out I was selling drugs. (No, I don’t sell drugs idiots.)
Really. Let’s get real. The U.S. has done the same to Russia. Remember Obama and Hillary getting mixed up in the Egyptian elections? Oh…that’s different?
No…it’s not.
The United States, wrote the playbook on ‘effecting’ the outcomes of elections, so Russia is just being smart.
But was it Russia?
I seem to remember Assange saying that it was a source within the democratic party that had hacked into the emails. That makes more sense.
Hillary herself wanted a drone attack on the man. The Clintons have a long body count trailing behind them…
They couldn’t get Assange, but his lawyer, an employee? No problem. A train killed Assange’s lawyer, John Jones. He was 48 and a father of two, internationally respected criminal lawyer.
Add to that, a young DNC staffer who was working with Assange, murdered.:

A 27-year-old Democrat staffer, Democrat National Committee staffer, guy by the name of Seth Rich, Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in Washington at 4:19 in the morning on July 10th. It’s a Sunday morning. He was gunned down at 4:19 in the morning. Shortly after the killing, social media users were pursuing a lead saying that Seth Conrad Rich was on his way to the FBI at the time, intending to speak to special agents about an ongoing court case involving the Clinton family.
Seth Rich’s father, Joel Rich, told reporters (paraphrasing), “Hey, look, if it was a robbery gone bad that killed my son, it failed ’cause he still has his watch, he still has his money, he still has his credit cards, he still had his phone. So, if this was a robbery, it was a totally wasted effort except we lost my son’s life
The CIA reported this, so Joe Biden is on it.
Tell me, why should we trust ANY intelligence agency: Remember this?
The CIA is used all over the world to ‘buy’ just about everything. Bush let the CIA hand out tens of millions of our tax dollars like candy to the war lords in Iraq and Afghanistan. Millions.
It’s pretty much reported that the CIA have been drug runners for quite some time.
So, why should Trump, or any of us, trust the “intelligence”? It’s not the brave men and women working hard to protect us, it’s the leaders they put in at the top that undermines us all.
After all, Obama and Hillary, our highest statesmen—- have done NOTHING but lie to us.

Liars.
So, when you hear the complaints that Donald Trump will not look at the intelligence briefings remember this:
1. He’s not President yet.
2. Because Obama’s main men are still in control, they could be false.
And most importantly– 3: Obama missed half of his intelligence meetings.
“If President Obama were participating in his intelligence briefings on a regular basis then perhaps he would understand why people are so offended at his efforts to take sole credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden,” a Cheney spokeswoman told The Daily Caller in an email.
We are more in danger of an attack from people crossing our borders and getting into our country, than Russia. The democrats are directing your attention away from the danger with us right now, inside our own borders.
And we can ALL be thankful that Hillary did not become the President of Drones. And I’m thanking GOD for that.

Nobody Remembers
John Glenn, a man who was the personification of the American Alpha-male, (go ahead and shake, you cupcakes), did not only serve as a great soldier, but he was the quintessence of what American stood for: advancement, greatness, and reaching out beyond the stars.
A democrat, JFK, helped launch a man to the moon, and yet, it was the democrat, Obama that shuttled our space program and put the whole thing into moth balls.
Private companies now try to achieve what NASA once did. Mostly I think, because lots of men plan to get rich off the stocks.
John Glenn, was one of the greatest men in history. Very quiet. But in his older years, he let everyone know, what a big mistake it was to close down the Shuttle.
Another one of Obama’s great blunders.
This weekend we can all watch, and rejoice, that John Glenn, was an American, and how LUCKY were we, the ones who were there to witness it all.
God Bless John Glenn, and let’s hope, that his life will inspire Congress to try to bring BACK our space program.

Ohio Students…Cupcakes of a Typical Uneducated Nation.

Just recently, there was a terror attack at Ohio, where a man tried to kill some students with his car. He then jumped out and started stabbing as many students as he could:
The details of Abdul Razak Ali Artan’s attack last Monday at the Ohio State University campus in Columbus remain scarce, but in social media posts attributed to him, there is praise for both the Islamic State and slain al-Qaeda preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, who the United States said directed attacks on Americans.
Just listen to these students. They won’t admit that it was a terrorist attack.
I could hardly believe the almost ungodly ignorance of these people, and ONE of them, was a professor.
While many of us are ecstatic about the Trump win, the real scare many of us wonder is: How in the world is he going to be able to correct the stupidly that runs throughout the public school system?
IF our kids were taught like they should be, when they finally went to college, they would see that their colleges are Marxist training grounds.
But for years, our school systems have been the biggest joke on the planet. The United States is globally way down at the bottom in math, science, and reading, and as you can see by the video…just plain common sense.
Last reported in 2015:
“In mathematics, 29 nations and other jurisdictions outperformed the United States by a statistically significant margin, up from 23 three years ago,” reports Education Week. “In science, 22 education systems scored above the U.S. average, up from 18 in 2009.”
In reading, 19 other locales scored higher than U.S. students — a jump from nine in 2009, when the last assessment was performed.
The top overall scores came from Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Macao and Japan, followed by Lichtenstein, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Estonia.
How can we ever compete, when we spend more money on each student than any other nation, and continue to turn out complete morons?

And that’s why, when we finally GET a great man to lead us, half the country doesn’t even recognize it.
How can they? They can’t even recognize a terrorist. They know NOTHING of history.

This week, it’s Madonna. 
Go figure. The woman of the year according to some magazine that none of us consider important, is upset that Donald Trump is President.
Why is she upset? The “material girl” just can’t get over the alpha male winning. I guess she didn’t give enough blow jobs. Or did she?
She’s not upset with the males in the country, she’s upset with the women.

Nobody Says: Hey plastic nose…I resent that. Could it be that you are NOT the typical women? You know, one who has to do the laundry, stay home to take care of a sick child, depend on your husband’s salary to help feed the kids? We didn’t betray the country, we SAVED it. (Along with a LOT of alpha men.) What do you want? The woman to rule the world?
How many women built that mansion you’re living in? Be careful what you wish for.
Why do you think that is?
Women hate women. That’s what I think it is. Women’s nature is not to support other women. It’s really sad. Men protect each other, and women protect their men and children. Women turn inward and men are more external. A lot of it has do with jealousy and some sort of tribal inability to accept that one of their kind could lead a nation. Other people just didn’t bother to vote because they didn’t like either candidate, or they didn’t think Trump had a chance in the world. They took their hands off the wheel and then the car crashed.
Nobody Says: No idiot. Male and females’ brains are wired different, you ninny. Check out the hormones. Have you been pumping yourself with too much testosterone? Hillary was rejected because she lies, she’s only about herself, she has no record of any accomplishment whatsoever, and she’s an elite snob. Add in her many felonies (which is in itself a very long list) and you have American women all over the country being smart enough to not let her into office to RUIN their lives and their children’s lives further. Had she been a Margaret Thatcher, then yes. But Hillary is worse than Obama. Obama can at least give a good speech. (Even though it’s all BS)
And by the way…in case you didn’t notice…the American people put their hands back ON the wheel. With Trump, we might not go over the cliff. (Idiot) 
Were you surprised?
Of course. I was devastated, surprised, in shock. I haven’t really had a good night’s sleep since he has been elected. We’re f—ed.
Nobody Says: Okay Madonna. What’s going to happen? What crimes are YOU committing that will have to stop? What? You might not get that Medal of Freedom for another 20 years? (You could always offer more blow jobs.)
And by the way, I don’t buy that you don’t sleep…unless of course, you did something criminal.

What did they say?
That they would rather have a successful businessman running the country than a woman who lies. Just absurd. But people don’t have faith in government as we know it. We live in a country that’s run by bankers. In a way, it makes sense that Donald Trump is the president. Because money rules. Not intelligence, not experience, not a moral compass, not the ability to make wise decisions, not the ability to think of the future of the human race.
Nobody Says: Absurd? She lies. He doesn’t. What don’t you get? And WHO took the most money from Bankers? Hillary Clinton! That’s right. Donald funded his own campaign. How much money did YOU lose Madonna? How many millions did YOU donate to Hillary that you will never see again? Is that what’s keeping you up at nights?
But, you might have something there: The Clintons and the Obama have no moral compass, or high intelligence, and they especially don’t have the ability to make wise decisions, and that’s why Trump won. .
As a fellow New Yorker, have you ever met the president-elect?
I wouldn’t call him a friend or anything, but I’ve certainly met him. I did a photo shoot years ago at [Trump’s] Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach [Fla.] for a Versace campaign. He’s a very friendly guy, charismatic in that boastful, macho, alpha-male way. I found his political incorrectness amusing. Of course, I didn’t know he was going to be running for president 20 years later. People like that exist in the world, I’m OK with it. They just can’t be heads of state. I just can’t put him and Barack Obama in the same sentence, same room, same job description.
Nobody Says: So Trump didn’t worship you, is that it? Was he one guy who didn’t want to bed you? Isn’t your whole career depended on sex? You sell SEX. and while you’re doing it, you sing. And you are judging Donald Trump?
And hey, I can’t put Trump and Obama in the same sentence either, or same room, or same job description. Obama has never HAD a real job, besides reading a Teleprompter.
When you go to Malawi, or travel the world, you must clearly get a sense of how our president affects the globe.
We’re the laughing stock of the universe right now. We can no longer criticize other governments, other leaders. I’m hanging my head in shame.
Nobody Says: Go ahead and hang your head between your legs Madonna. Miley Cyrus can do it! 
Okay…the point is: She’s not perfect. But somehow she has kept herself still working after all these years…or.
Has she? Who is really behind the Madonna curtain? I’m betting it’s an alpha male.

Some of us THOUGHT…after the election… that the leftist media would come to some senses and clean up their act.
Ha ha— haha.
What are they all talking about? Even Fox. They are really concerned that Trump’s will use his businesses to further enrich himself.
They are more concerned with Trump using the Presidency to make himself rich, than they EVER were about the Clintons’ using the Clinton Foundation to make themselves millionaires and pay for Chelsea’s wedding, living expenses…etc, etc. Or the many hundreds of felonies Hillary was committing by accepting donations from foreign governments all over the world while she was Secretary of State.
She SHOULD be in jail.
I think, Hillary is scared. That’s why we are seeing her getting her picture taken with ordinary women…in the park, at the grocery stores. She will claim if the new Justice Department goes after her, that she was targeted because…she was a woman.
They are now floating the notion that Hillary might run again in 2020! Get out your wallet…there is NO way she can lose, since she won the popular vote…..that’s the story. But will all the Muslims that gave her millions give again?
Go ask Allah. Last time I heard, he was in Las Vegas.
But, back to Trump.
First, if he was such a greedy rich man as they are all afraid of, then he would take the $400,000 salary instead of donating it. And second: he’s already a billionaire. He’s worked hard to build the empire he has, and why in the world should he not be able to give it to his kids?
That’s the American way! To make him give up and put his entire empire in some kind of trust is absurd.
He hasn’t committed the crime…unlike Hillary, who has. Will he make more money after his Presidency?
Are you kidding? Of course he will. He’s Donald Trump! But frankly, the American people don’t care how much he makes, as long as he helps us out in the process.
And he will. A man who puts his name on every building is NOT going to muck it up.
That’s not stopping every TV pundit from saying that he should give up ALL his businesses and put them in a trust, where even his kids won’t be able to make a living.
It’s insane.
Tell me. How did Obama go from not even being a millionaire to walking out of the White House with over $15 million dollars? (More like $45 million)
How did that salary grow so quickly?
Here’s what he said:
“While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as President, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses,” he continued. “Hence, legal documents are being crafted which take me completely out of business operations. The Presidency is a far more important task!”
It would be unfair to speculate on the exact nature of Trump’s business plans, but it’s already clear that he’s not going to liquidate his ownership in the company or put his holdings into a blind trust. On the other hand, he’s maintained from the beginning that he would put his children in charge of the company, and he never promised to do anything more than that. If that’s a problem – and it probably is – it was a problem the American people knew about on election day.”
The American people saw Trump spend his own money to be President. He isn’t taking a salary. He has not lied to anyone, unlike Obama, and Hillary, who seemed to lie with every breath.
They said they are drawing up the papers?
Let them. So far, he has been a man of his word. But guess what?
After 30 years of the Clintons, I am sure the American people find the integrity and honesty of Donald Trump a breath of fresh air.
We all know, he is NOT…one of them.

It’s begun—- The “We don’t have to take your crap anymore” revolution, and Donald Trump is leading the way. 
Donald Trump has inspired the American people and the Trump movement is alive and kicking. For EXAMPLE:
First: Kellogg trashed the conservative website Breitbart, and we all found out that Kellogg was giving money to George Soros, and Black Lives Matter. Brietbart started a petition to boycott their products and their stock went down. The liberals are all screaming that companies now can’t have an opinion, well, sure they can. But when they insult half their customers, the customers can do what their forefathers did.
Throw those Rice Krispies and Pop Tarts in the Boston harbor!
Okay. Just don’t buy them. They’re not that good for you anyway. Imagine what they would do to the poor fish.
Companies might start keeping their mouths shut. They will lose money on this one. Americans’ are learning.
Our forefathers refused the British Tea…..why can’t we refuse to endorse their products?

Second: Rosie O’Donnell, who is so horrified that Donald Trump is President, had to put her little dig in to Donald Trump by retweeting some video that had been posted by an autistic man named James, and it basically said that Trump’s youngest son Barron was autistic.
He isn’t. But Rosie just couldn’t help herself…and didn’t care.
James put up this lovely apology, which was the right thing to do.
Rosie, also apologized to Melania….which is a miracle in itself, but you can bet Rosie would have lost MILLIONS in a lawsuit. Still, on her ‘blog’ she says this:

Second victory: Trump didn’t put up with this crap of them saying his son was autistic. Fine example for us all.
Rosie apologizing to the new First Lady? That’s not something anybody expected is it now?
Third: Some brats at a college in New Hampshire, were so mad at the election of Donald Trump, they burned the American flag. The idiots who run the place were with them: President Lash earlier excused the students saying the flag represented “a powerful symbol of fear they’ve felt all their lives because they grew up in marginalized communities, never feeling safe.”
Well, the Vets were not going to take this crap, so hundreds of veterans protested the college for taking the flag down.
It is now, back up and flying. Basically, the college liberals running the campus caved in.
They didn’t expects the veterans to act.
So, it’s all good— Thanks to our Vets and all they do for us, and for showing those idiots in New Hampshire the real meaning of country.
Victory three…I love getting used to this. Donald said we might get tired of winning…didn’t he? I might have to start a new column called, Nobody’s Victories, if this keep up.

General Sherman…Advice on Leadership

Every dweeby liberal that speaks, is wondering how Donald Trump won: It’s pretty simple really: Hillary is not a leader. Donald Trump is. We see this how in how he ran his campaign.
Americans love leaders, AND winners.
So….I found these “leadership” words of advice tonight, from a historical General who helped win the Civil War, and thought I’d share:
A small excerpt from The Annals of America: General Sherman writes: Military Lessons of the War (1875)
“Other great difficulties experienced by every general, are to measure truly the thousand-and-one-reports that come to him in the midst of conflict, to preserve a clear and well-defined purpose at every instant of time: and to cause all efforts to converge to that tend.
To do these things he must know perfectly the strength and quality of each part of his own army as well as that of his opponent, and must be where he can personally see and observe with his own eyes and judge with his own mind. No man can properly command an army from the rear: he must be “at its front”: and when a detachment is made, the commander thereof should be informed of the object to be accomplished and left as free as possible to execute it in his own way: and when an army is divided up into several parts, the superior should always attend the one which he regards as most important.
Some men think that modern armies may be so regulated that a general can sit in an office and play on his several columns as on the keys of a piano: this is a fearful mistake. The directing mind must be at the very head of the army —must be seen there and the effect of his mind and personal energy must be felt by every officer and man present with it to secure the best results. Every attempt to make war easy and safe will result in humiliation and disaster.”
Tell me, after reading these words of General Sherman, who do you think the General would like more: Donald Trump or Barak Obama?

Here’s an interesting bit of news that I got from ‘g’ man.
It seems, the poor Italians are going to be FORCED to accept migrants into their homes:
“The Italian interior ministry recently formulated a new directive concerning the housing of migrants, which was then leaked to the press. Under its provisions, the owner of a property that is standing empty or is under-utilized will be required to take in migrants in numbers assigned by the state. Anyone who objects will be speedily prosecuted and jailed.”
To make matters worse, property owners do not have the right to be reimbursed by the state, because the government has used up the funds allocated for the placement of migrants.
Not just that: The Justice Ministry would be prepared to outright guarantee rapid trials and detention space for those who resist the Viminale Plan. In substance: jail for those who don’t agree.
Indeed, whoever resists risks losing their house forever.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds much like the Quartering Acts that the British imposed upon her colonists before the revolutionary war. After the Boston Tea Party, soldiers were everywhere, and the Bostonians had to house them, and feed them, at their own expense.
This first Quartering Act[3] was given Royal Assent on May 15, 1765,[4] and provided that Great Britain would house its soldiers in American barracks and public houses, as by the Mutiny Act of 1765, but if its soldiers outnumbered the housing available, would quarter them in “inns, livery stables, ale houses, victualing houses, and the houses of sellers of wine and houses of persons selling of rum, brandy, strong water, cider or metheglin“, and if numbers required in “uninhabited houses, outhouses, barns, or other buildings.” Colonial authorities were required to pay the cost of housing and feeding these troops.
Italy has had its problems. According to the Globalist:
I continue to see Italy as the prime candidate for such a move. The country suffers under a recession which has by now lasted longer than the recession of the 1930s. It still has not managed to get back to 2008 GDP levels.
Unemployment is high, government debt is out of control. Closing the competitive gap to Germany by lowering wages by 30% is a ridiculous idea and an impossible task.

So, will the Italian people, (or what’s left of them) rebel and get out of the European Union?
And more importantly, could this have happened in our own country, had Hillary been elected?
Nobody Knows. But I wouldn’t want to own a house in Italy now, would you?
I can’t help but think of the movie—Doctor Zhivago, sequel..called Doctor Bernini.
You know, George Clooney has a BIG ol house in Italy. Do you think he’s going to share his many rooms with Muslims from Africa?
Or, can I claim that I’m a migrant and DEMAND to live in his house?
Let’s check on that. I’m SURE he has plenty of room in that mansion on the lake. Surely, he’s a compassionate man, right?

Ahhhhhhh, the many complaints of aging Movie Stars, just won’t go away.
Mark Hamil, has decided it’s his turn to let the world know: He is a flaming liberal idiot.
Star Wars is coming out soon. I don’t know about you, but those of us who remember the FIRST Star Wars are all rookied out. If I see another Jedi Master, or repeats of the Millennium Falcon, I couldn’t care less. The Star Trek series far surpasses the Star Wars franchises, not only with story, but with just about everything: Graphics, acting, storyline…excitement.
The last Star Wars movie was so lame, I don’t even remember the name of it. Now, they just keep it up to sell the merchandize.
Harrison Ford went on to a long career, but Mark Hamil, well, he didn’t do so well after Star Wars. Sure, he kept busy, making guest appearances on lame TV sitcoms, but he did a pretty stupid thing in 1977: He missed an exit ramp on a highway and decided to cross four lanes to get to it.
He ended up smashing his face so badly, even plastic surgery couldn’t hide the scars.
But it’s okay! Like Hillary Clinton, he’s back, with a new show I haven’t even heard of—called “Pop Culture Quest.”
And we all know that politics of the radical left are really popular right now in the culture: along with BLM, Gun Control, obnoxious women comedians, and aging movie stars who NEED attention so badly, they are willing to start criticizing those deplorable from places like Oklahoma.
You want to keep your career alive, and you can’t compete with the young stars anymore?
THEN…Politics is your answer!

Translation: If you like Trump’s pick for his cabinet, then YOU TOO, are despicable.
What do these people do? Grab a dictionary and look for bad labels to call conservatives under the “d” section?
Deplorable.
Despicable.
What will Harrison Ford call us? Disgusting? Degenerate? Demanding? Disgraceful?
Why don’t they lighten up and just call us Dopey? I am very FOND of Dopey. I like that name.
I have often wondered, what “Force” screwed up this guy? He would claim it was his father, who was Darth Veda…a man who supported Richard Nixon. Hillary claims it was her conservative father who made a liberal out of her.
Oh well. Space movies are fun. But Star Wars…AGAIN? Come on. Really.
Mark Hamil was in the right place at the right time.

May the “Force” pick you up and slam you down and knock some sense into your head. (On the other side of the scar of course. Just a slight knock will do.) If I was Dopey, maybe a good cymbal to the head. But…
I wouldn’t dare. I might be despicable, but I do have what you might call, deplorable dignity.
I only use ‘force’ when I decide to push the button on my remote control…which I do every time I see ‘Star Wars’.

It’s in the air: Christmas. Can you feel it too? My husband and I went out Friday night to the nearby old town of St. Charles, Missouri, where every tree is circled in white flickering bulbs, and hundreds of little quaint novelty stores were all decorated in thousands of lights, Christmas trees, and Christmas decorations. Santa’s of every shape and size on every shelf.
Actors were brandishing chestnuts in English dress and accents: singing groups were Caroling like Dickens characters: Santa’s of every size in every language were “Merry Christmasing” down the cobblestone streets. Lighted up Cinderella Carriages were pulled by beautiful white horses, their hooves clip-clopping down the streets, giving rides to lovers and families. Children were running, little girls dancing, local pubs busting with business, and the restaurants all had fires outside to warm the people eating outside, just to enjoy the festivals.
St. Charles, is probably just like many historical towns in our country. I imagine Williamsburg, Boston, and other tiny town squares, putting 
on festivals with lights. Its old buildings sit on the Missouri river. It’s where Lewis and Clark started their trek to the Pacific Ocean. There’s a big statue of them with their dog…not far from where they started.
But…dummy me. I had never gone to such a thing. And it felt like Disneyland. (Which I hear is wonderful at Christmas too.)
We ate Chicago Style Pizza at one of the restaurants,, then started on our stroll back in time. By the time we were finished wandering into all the shops, we had consumed down: chocolate covered cherries, hot chocolate, Apple Caramel Cider, and our first Butterbeer soda.
Trust me. We NEVER do that. But the night was so beautiful, and to see the people all so happy was frankly, a gift from heaven after this last year.
And what about love? Yes. I will remember this night as a night that my husband choose the perfect gift for me. I had tears in my eyes, when my husband brought me this picture for Christmas:
Now…my husband doesn’t read a single word I write, but he doesn’t have to. He knows me that well.
As we were walking past some very pretty Christmas trees, I told him, that I had just written a blog a few days before the election called: “This is our Valley Forge: Let’s Not Blow it.”
George Washington was by far, the best President our country ever had. He was the quintessence of a leader. If America needed anything at this time in our lives, it was a man who truly, with all his heart, believed in America. We needed a LEADER…and with the help of God, we got one.
Clint Eastwood summed it up very well with this tweet.
“Thank you America, I don’t have long left to live but now I know the last few years will be great, I can’t thank you enough #PresidentTrump,”
His twitter account was cancelled right after he posted it, but it has been said that his daughter said he didn’t tweet it.
No matter: It’s pretty much how millions of Americans feel. The America that our leaders have forgotten, can come back.
And I can feel it, can’t you?
There’s a new joy in life again. As Thomas Fuller once said:
“Great Hopes make great people.”
There’s no better time to turn off the TV and get out to enjoy some great people, than at Christmastime.
Find one of these festivals in your town, and do yourself a favor.
Don’t wait as long as I did to discover it.

Black Friday Blues
Nobody Wonders…
Why ANYONE in their right mind would go shopping on Black Friday at Wal-Mart?
And yet, millions put down their forks and scarf down mom’s pumpkin pie early in the morning just so that they can be first in line when the Black Friday Sales start.
My husband and I went into Wal-Mart around 11p.m today. It was pretty empty. But somebody had been working hard overnight to stock all the sale items onto the aisles. Sales that…were certainly not worth standing in line for an hour to buy. But, AMAZINLY people will stand in line for TVs, or a toy that they know their kid want for Christmas.
If they save $50 dollars they feel like they’ve REALLY done something great. Really, just pay the $50 and go at a less crowded time.
I don’t understand it.
For instance: There was Tupperware set, boxes and boxes of them on sale. It usually sold for $19.00 and was on sale for $7.99. REALLY? Who doesn’t have Tupperware already? And then I think: more than I might know.
I often ask myself, if Wal-Mart was selling one of those $300 dollar mixers for $100.00 would I too stand in line for it?
Would I risk getting a disease from South America, or bruises from a kicked shin? Would I stand in line for hours just to get to the kitchen aisle and see they were all sold out?
My mixer bit the dust years ago. I’ve been using a hand mixer, which works just fine. The other day, I saw a mixer with a bowl for $24.00. Sure, you have to turn the bowl yourself, it’s certainly not for someone who spends hours every day cooking, but that’s not me. I bought it and couldn’t be happier.
Think about it: You rarely have to mix anything more than 5 minutes. How hard it that?
When my hand breaks and I can’t turn the bowl any longer, there’s always TV dinners.
And you know what? Even if I DID cook every day, I really think those mixers are way overpriced. China truly is ripping us off.
Another pet peeve of mine is the new America sales scam:
Like—SALE! 50% off! Was $250.00, now only $150.00!
Which is the price it normally is, if you shop at the store and know. And they do this with clothes, appliances, well, just about everything.
I call it the, “You think you are saving money, but you’re NOT!” scam.
Are any of the companies reprimanded for false advertising? No.
Or how about the “Buy one get one half off!” (Or free as the Clintons used to say.)
(In Clinton’s case, we will be paying for them, the rest of our lives.)
Trust me, you are paying for both.
But people fall for these scams. Woman especially LOVE to brag how they got something, ANYTHING, on sale. As if, that makes them special. As IF, that makes them smart.
As if. 
Still, the economy is SO bad, inflation and the price of food SO high, that the luxuries that you can’t afford go on sale just one day a year…you’d better be there.
For some people, that truly is the norm. And to have these sales one day a week, is…close to cruel. People go wild. They get all excited, like they are drunk with anticipation. It’s social engineering at it’s finest. They make you WANT it. DESIRE IT.
And while I’m ranting about people standing in line to get bargains, I actually am guilty of that:
Today my family stood in line for over an hour to eat Thanksgiving Dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was great, reasonably priced, and best yet: no dishes. What’s great about Cracker Barrel, they have a store that you can amuse yourself with while you’re waiting.
There’s nothing like a home-cooked Thanksgiving turkey dinner, don’t get me wrong. But, what’s most important is to spend time with those you love.
And it seems, in some cases: SHOP with them too.
Now, excuse me while I get ready for my Black Friday.

I am a nobody. If the different classes of America were color-coded, I would be in the yucky brown, one rung up from the bottom. I grew up in Naples, Florida and live near the Mississippi River now with my husband and two dogs. I am part of the slowly disappearing middle-class.
