King George…NOT the Baby….

Nobody Wins

While EVERYONE was gushing today about how X-President George H.W. Bush shaved his head bald to honor a small child of one of his secret service members who had Leukemia— I was astounded to see all those guys standing behind him. No, ……I was—amazed and shocked that he needed all those guys in this picture to protect him.  I always thought they got one or two for the rest of their lives, not 100. I tried in vain to find out just how many secret service are guarding our X- Presidents and kept coming up with the same answer: Most X Presidents have a total of 56 agents, but George Bush Jr. has 103.

Come on. If you believe THIS, we are paying $2 trillion a month for these guys to live in grand style with no fear? One hundred agents a piece?

Is it any WONDER we are going broke?

They get 2 trillion a month and get assigned 100 secret service people each. They also get their kids to go to president schools like Adams family did and Bush.

No wonder they spend billions to get into the White House. Please…somebody tell me this is NOT true. Awfully nice of King George to show compassion, but maybe the taxpayers should be asking…why don’t you show a little compassion to the taxpayers? Do you really need an army?

Nobody’s Email: This will be Me in a Few Years….

Nobody Gets Email

This lady leaves me speechless. I can see myself someday, doing this. In fact, even though I retired from drumming after 35 years in bands, I do remember an all girl’s band that I use to go see in the 1970’s, that was filled with woman all over 65, and they were pretty good. But the reason most people went to see them, is because the saxophone player told dirty jokes, and was a riot.

Anyway…since Obama says white people need to reflect about themselves this weekend, I’m of course…am NOT going to. And guess what? If you are anywhere this weekend, and Obama’s black protestors are out, you would be a fool NOT to look your car doors if you see them coming. And that goes for every color of human species, water fowl, dog, or cat.

I’m enjoying the summer, in all my whiteness. Good Lord, can we please have a vowel?

Anyway, enjoy Grandma…I did!

Can YOU Afford Gold?

Nobody Wins

Here’s an ad sent to me by the Capitol Gold Group. While we are all bombarded with the racist America, our politicians are paying our debt with money printed out of thin air. NOBODY in Washington is talking about spending anymore.

The conundrum here is, most people cannot afford to buy gold, and I certainly have always wondered, if the government could pull another FDR and confiscate it all, like it did once before.  If I did buy it, would I want it kept in some other place besides my own safe?  Can you hide gold? Can you hide guns? Remember, they have complete surveillance over the world, they will find you.

They didn’t know where bin Laden was, you say, how can they find me? Give them time. Now, they can find out anything.

Nobody Wins when the dollar is devalued just to keep the rulers in money and power, while the citizens lose their life savings, to further the dream of globalization and mass markets uniting the whole world into some kind of utopian dream, where great companies and rulers merge to do what’s BEST for the people. What’s important, is to keep the big government boat afloat, and make it even bigger.

It’s the progressives that are smashing our dollar we are being told, but we must remember, the head of the Republican Party, the Bush family, was all for this.

I don’t know much about this stuff but what I’ve read, but I do know this: Inflation is only going to get worse…and because it’s creeping, we don’t think much about it.

Nobody Rants About Race-Baiting ‘President’

Nobody’s Opinion

‘President” Obama issued a statement yesterday,  about the brave Navy Seals, and all the men who were murdered in Benghazi— he gave a brief statement to honor their courage:

Wait! We all know that didn’t happen. Nobody talks about Benghazi anymore. We have race riots now!Trayvon crowd two

Instead, he said this:

“The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher.”

(Translation: The reason I’m so upset about this boy being murdered is because, Trayvon, was so much like me at his age, he could have been my son. He smoked grass, he liked to get high, just like I did. He hated ‘crackers’ and even looked like me. It’s uncanny how much he looks like me—-so, I’m upset too. So is every black basketball player, hip-hop singer, and everyone else who contributes to our America. So yes, I feel your pain. So I want to thank all my friends, Beyonce, and you know, just everybody that is as shocked as I am. And I need the black people to get back to the polls one more time…)

“But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities.”

(Translations: Screw the Chicano boy. His parents don’t count. Be cool. Zimmerman can never go out in public again. I’ll see to that. HEY! You white people need to stop profiling black kids. The reason they burn down buildings and rob stores is because you people are so racist….and uh…I can’t blame them. We need more compassion for the black men who can’t find jobs.) Trayvon crowd

“We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this.”

(Right. We need to get guns out of the hands of citizens. We need to repeal the 2nd amendment. And I need to use this opportunity to push that fact home.)

“As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.”

(HONOR Trayvon Martin? What did he do but smash some guys head into concrete? For what? Beating up somebody who wanted to know what he was doing?)

Where’s the Justice?

Justice lifted it’s head and you didn’t like it.Kris 8

It’s okay, we’ll wait.

Today I thought this comment, (and all the comments about how Trayvon is dead meat from all of Obama’s fans) was the only one I could agree with.

Today I am embarrassed to be an American…my heart goes out to the Martin family.

—– Toni Braxton

You know what Toni? I’m embarrassed to be an American too. This is only about the 483rd time in my life that I have had to witnessed black people running around burning buildings, attacking innocent people, destroying their own neighborhoods, killing their own people, (and others) robbing for fun, and generally, acting like spoiled brats. Obama Gives Speech At University of Cape Town

I am also embarrassed that we have a President who deliberately incites riots across the country.

I am also embarrassed for the whole black Obama-nation who are out rioting right now: Jesse Jackson for inciting riots:  and CNN—who has not talked about anything else the whole day but how “Zimmerman is the most hated man in America.”

I beg…to differ. I can think of another candidate…maybe you should take a poll.

Who’s the most hated man in America right now?

Obama, or Zimmerman?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Of all the fine black minds in America, we had to get YOU! Good god almighty.

Nobody’s Email: Pilot Penny on 9/11

Nobody Gets Email:

Most Americans were shocked, that on 9/11 we had absolutely no American jets protecting the airspace over Manhattan. I don’t know if this is a true story, but it sounds true to me. Nobody also wonders: Are they protecting our airspace now? Does ANYBODY know? And why hasn’t Hillary Clinton, the great feminist given praise to Penny? Or Obama? Or does Penny wish to remain…just one of the guys? (I’m going with the latter.)

(Thanks to JR)

**********

The events of Sept. 11, 2001, put an F-16 pilot into the sky with orders to bring down United Flight 93

Late in the morning of the Tuesday that changed everything, Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney had her hand on the throttle of an F-16 and she had her orders: Bring down United Airlines Flight 93. The day’s fourth hijacked airliner seemed to be hurtling toward Washington. Penney, one of the first two combat pilots in the air that morning, was told to stop it.Jet Pilot

The one thing she didn’t have as she roared into the crystalline sky was live ammunition. Or missiles. Or anything at all to throw at a hostile aircraft.Except her own plane. So that was the plan.Because the surprise attacks were unfolding, in that innocent age, faster than they could arm war planes, Penney and her commanding officer went up to fly their jets straight into a Boeing 757. “We wouldn’t be shooting it down. We’d be ramming the aircraft,” Penney recalls of her charge that day. “I would essentially be a kamikaze pilot.”

For years, Penney, one of the first generation of female combat pilots in the country, gave no interviews about her experiences on Sept. 11, (which included, eventually, escorting Air Force One back into Washington’s suddenly highly restricted airspace). But 10 years later, she is reflecting on one of the lesser-told tales of that endlessly examined morning: how the first counterpunch the U.S. Military prepared to throw at the attackers was effectively a suicide mission.

“We had to protect the airspace any way we could,” she said last week in her office at Lockheed Martin, where she is a director in the F-35 program.

Penney, now a major but still a petite blonde with a Colgate grin, is no longer a combat flier. She flew two tours in Iraq and she serves as a part-time National Guard pilot, mostly hauling VIPs around in a military Gulfstream. She takes the stick of her own vintage 1941 Taylorcraft tail-dragger whenever she can. But none of her thousands of hours in the air quite compare with the urgent rush of launching on what was supposed to be a one-way flight to a midair collision.

First of her kind

She was a rookie in the autumn of 2001, the first female F-16 pilot they’d ever had at the 121st Fighter Squadron of the D.C. Air National Guard. She had grown up smelling jet fuel. Her father flew jets in Vietnam and still races them. Penney got her pilot’s license when she was a literature major at Purdue. She planned to be a teacher. But during a graduate program in American studies, Congress opened up combat aviation to women and Penney was nearly first in line.

“I signed up immediately,” she says. “I wanted to be a fighter pilot like my dad.”

On that Tuesday, they had just finished two weeks of air combat training in Nevada. They were sitting around a briefing table when someone looked in to say a plane had hit the World Trade Center in New York. When it happened once, they assumed it was some yahoo in a Cessna. When it happened again, they knew it was war.

But the surprise was complete. In the monumental confusion of those first hours, it was impossible to get clear orders. Nothing was ready. The jets were still equipped with dummy bullets from the training mission.

As remarkable as it seems now, there were no armed aircraft standing by and no system in place to scramble them over Washington. Before that morning, all eyes were looking outward, still scanning the old Cold War threat paths for planes and missiles coming over the polar ice cap.

“There was no perceived threat at the time, especially one coming from the homeland like that,” says Col. George Degnon, vice commander of the 113th Wing at Andrews. “It was a little bit of a helpless feeling, but we did everything humanly possible to get the aircraft armed and in the air. It was amazing to see people react.”

Things are different today, Degnon says. At least two “hot-cocked” planes are ready at all times, their pilots never more than yards from the cockpit.F 16

A third plane hit the Pentagon, and almost at once came word that a fourth plane could be on the way, maybe more. The jets would be armed within an hour, but somebody had to fly now, weapons or no weapons.

“Lucky, you’re coming with me,” barked Col. Marc Sasseville.

They were gearing up in the pre-flight life-support area when Sasseville, struggling into his flight suit, met her eye.

“I’m going to go for the cockpit,” Sasseville said.

She replied without hesitating.

“I’ll take the tail.”

It was a plan. And a pact.

‘Let’s go!’

Penney had never scrambled a jet before. Normally the pre-flight is a half-hour or so of methodical checks. She automatically started going down the list.

“Lucky, what are you doing? Get your butt up there and let’s go!” Sasseville shouted.

She climbed in, rushed to power up the engine, screamed for her ground crew to pull the chocks. The crew chief still had his headphones plugged into the fuselage as she nudged the throttle forward. He ran along pulling safety pins from the jet as it moved forward.

She muttered a fighter pilot’s prayer — “God, don’t let me [expletive] up” — and followed Sasseville into the sky.

They screamed over the smoldering Pentagon, heading northwest at more than 400 mph, flying low and scanning the clear horizon. Her commander had time to think about the best place to hit the enemy.

“We don’t train to bring down airliners,” said Sasseville, now stationed at the Pentagon. “If you just hit the engine, it could still glide and you could guide it to a target. My thought was the cockpit or the wing.”

He also thought about his ejection seat. Would there be an instant just before impact?

“I was hoping to do both at the same time,” he says. “It probably wasn’t going to work, but that’s what I was hoping.”

Penney worried about missing the target if she tried to bail out.

“If you eject and your jet soars through without impact . . .” she trails off, the thought of failing more dreadful than the thought of dying.

But she didn’t have to die. She didn’t have to knock down an airliner full of kids and salesmen and girlfriends. They did that themselves.

It would be hours before Penney and Sasseville learned that United 93 had already gone down in Pennsylvania, an insurrection by hostages willing to do just what the two Guard pilots had been willing to do: Anything. And everything.

“The real heroes are the passengers on Flight 93 who were willing to sacrifice themselves,” Penney says. “I was just an accidental witness to history.”

She and Sasseville flew the rest of the day, clearing the airspace, escorting the president, looking down onto a city that would soon be sending them to war.

She’s a single mom of two girls now. She still loves to fly. And she still thinks often of that extraordinary ride down the runway a decade ago.

“I genuinely believed that was going to be the last time I took off,” she says. “If we did it right, this would be it.”

Nobody Muses on the 4th

Nobody Muses on the 4th

July the 4th is my favorite holiday, but this year, for the first time in my life, it feels like a twilight. I love twilight, especially in the summer, and I suppose that if America is in its twilight as many people think, it should be a beautiful one.
But twilight leads to the darkness of night, before the next day.twilight

And so, I will be thinking tonight while watching the fireworks, of something I heard Rush Limbaugh say on the radio today. He has been talking this year about how there are those in the Republican Party that don’t like the real conservatives: They don’t like the tea party people. The tea party people are actually the last Americans. They just want to be left alone.
Rush, who has been so important to the Republican Party that he was given a birthday cake at the White House by the Bush Family, has been America’s voice of conservatism. And today, a patriotic American called Rush and lamented that the Republican Party has left us, and he found himself turning to the libertarians Ron and Rand Paul. And then Rush said, as he does in EVERY single election: A third party will never win. Don’t even think about it. Don’t vote for anyone but the Republican.Rush Limbaugh

Sarah Palin might differ.

There are those of us, who see an endless highway of Rhino’s and Democrats, really more like one party now, stretching out across the country, across time, forever more, leading America into the dark night

The leaders of the Republican Party are just as organized and entrenched as the Democrats, and they will never let that power go. Go ahead and hope for it, the odds of that happening are slim.

Whoever they have run for President in 2016, will leave even more conservatives staying home. They will lose. And Rush, should know that. But he keeps hoping I guess. He just keeps hoping. He will support Jeb Bush, if he runs, which most think he will.

Where does that leave us on this Independence Day? What options do we have for the future?

Will the Republican Party come around? No. And the reason is: Globalization. Both George W. Bush and Obama were in Africa promoting ‘women’s issues, which is just a smokescreen for global corporations and their interests. Now, I know that what Rush support is capitalism. As do conservatives. But crony capitalism  now runs the parties. An elite oligarchy has emerged that the leaders cannot ignore. It’s the elephant in the room that neither party talks about too much.

George W. Bush has already made the pack with Mexico. Obama will further it. We will stay involved in the middle East, as we are in Korea. Obamacare IS the wish of the global companies. They want a level playing field.

As I think of our founders, and the blood that was spent to start such a genius idea called America, and my dad’s generation— all the blood spilled to stop Japan and Germany—Vietnam, and Iraq, and now we see that idea is gone, it’s almost too sad to bear. To think that it’s going to come back, is folly, in my opinion. We wait. We hope. But it doesn’t happen.

Even Benjamin Franklin, who went to England so many times before the Revolution, had hoped that the mother land and America could resolve their differences. It was not to be, and they all spoke of the heartache of it in their letters. All the founders did.Happy 4th

So, we are at the point, like our ancestors before us, of the twilight before the dark.

Obama has driven the last nail in America, as we all knew he would. Soon we will realized that something else must be done. The political system and the career oligarchy that is so entrenched in place, will continue to fight for the global interests, not America’s.

What choice do we have now?

I understand why Rush insists that a third party will never win. To Rush, it’s the two -party system that he has defended for so long. What Rush doesn’t want to face, is that this system that our founders set up, has been discarded and demolished, by our own leaders.

Talk all you want Rush: Nothing changes. The only way Rush could save the Republican party would be to run himself, and he won’t do that.

The people of America will never rise up as one, as we saw in Egypt today, because they have kept us purposely divided by race, by wealth, and by sex. It’s how the powerful keep the masses from rising up against them. Say what you want about the Muslim religion: It unites a people.

And yet…miracles do happen.

I don’t think I’m expressing any thoughts that millions of others haven’t had. But tonight, it’s time we ALL start thinking about what the hell we can do about it.

Twilight is coming.

Let’s All Go to Africa and Celebrate Women!

Nobody Reports

Barack Obama will met up with former President George W. Bush while they are both in Tanzania. Good old George is going to help polish up Obama’s lame legacy at Benghazi by standing with him at a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the 1998 bombing there that killed 11 people at the U.S. Embassy. George is there to promote African women. Michelle Obama and Laura Bush will also team up at a conference on African Women organized by the George W. Bush Institute. If they think this is going to help get Jeb Bush the black vote in 2016, they need a Tanzanian transplant. Tanzanian Women

In September, Jeb Bush, will be giving the 2013 Liberty Medal, to Hillary Clinton,  in Philadelphia.

He had this to say about Hillary:

“Former Secretary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy,” the former Florida governor said in a statement announcing the award. “These efforts as a citizen, an activist, and a leader have earned Secretary Clinton this year’s Liberty Medal.”

Mmmmmmm……

The Bush family must expect Jeb to win the White House, and they are just handing out some goodies to Obama and Hillary as consolation prizes: OR…Jeb and George are just really nice guys.

Nobody Thinks if the Republicans really want to win back the White House, the last thing they should be doing is helping their opponents.Jeb and Hillary

I would rather see Presidents putting wreaths on the graves of the recent firefighters that lost their lives in Arizona, but, that’s me. I can’t wait to see what’ Obama’s “institute” is going to be, but one thing we all know, the x Presidents make more money out of office than in. Which is why they are willing to spend billions to get the job. Obama & George H.

Nobody’s Perfect: Edward Snowdon VS The United States Presidents

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.- Albert Einstein.

Nobody’s Perfect:

This week we have the NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowdon, VS the United States Government.

Let’s start with Edward Snowden.Edward Snowdon

A young man does an interview with the British paper, The Guardian, and tells the world that our government is spying on everything we do. He believes it’s wrong, and even though he knows he will be hunted down, and possibly killed, he did it anyway. After that statement, the man just disappeared. Snowden, and this is very important, allegedly downloaded the country’s most sensitive secrets, especially how the U.S. Government does surveillance abroad, so other countries would know how we spy on them. If it’s true, that’s not good, although I don’t for a minute believe that the rest of the world is that stupid, and didn’t know this anyway.

Since we haven’t heard from the man, we have no idea what the truth is. John Kerry, a man who lied big time about his own involvement in Vietnam, and who branded American soldiers as war-criminals when he was younger, said that “people may die as a consequence of what this man (Snowden) did.”

And, in a “I told you so” Nobody smirking moment, (Read yesterday’s post) John Kerry, our defense secretary, also said this:

“It is possible that the United States will be attacked because terrorists may now know how to protect themselves in some way or another, that they didn’t know before.,”

Life is wonderful when you can blame some insignificant nobody, isn’t it?

And then, we have The United States government:

When it comes to protecting the secrets of the United States, I think the Democrats make Edward Snowdon look like an amateur.

Take Bill Clinton. His North Korea appeasement program included a nuclear reactor. He also provided North Korea with detailed satellite photos of Kadena during the 1990’s as part of an “earth resources” deal with China. The U.S. Dept. of Commerce documents show the Chinese satellite “remote Sensing Center” was supplied with “world class remote sensing data acquisition, processing, archive and distribution” equipment. The state of the art satellite equipment was proved by Huges Corp.Nuclear China

In 1996, President Clinton personally signed an executive order releasing a wide variety of space and missile technology for export to China. That executive order was supported by the CEO’s of Lockheed, Loral, ad Huges and it allowed China to purchase sophisticated electronic guidance and control systems for its military missiles.

Remember: China helped Pakistan nuke up, and Pakistan helped North Korea, Iran and Iraq. All because Bill and his big military companies, wanted to make some money. In the meantime, he was encouraging all other nations, like Japan and India to not nuke at all.

So, Bill Clinton has made it possible for China to be able to nuke the United States. Any city. Any time. And now, North Korea. And yet, he is still adored.

That was treason of the highest order. No other way to look at it: Treason.

What else happened during Bill’s reign? Remember the Los Alamos fire? Opps, a Chinese spy got in and downloaded everything. In fact, in the last ten years that I have been reading about politics, I can’t count the number of times our secrets have been stolen. Remember when the head of the CIA was our biggest informer to Russia? Who let THAT happen? If this program is so damn good, how come we do not stop China from stealing all our good stuff?

And then you have the current President, who has continued to lie. He continues to fundamentally change our now, socialist America, into a soon- to -be communist dictator. He is flooding our shores with Muslims, and his cabinet with Muslim sympathizers. He let men die in Benghazi, sent the IRS after patriotic Americans, pushed Obamacare through in the middle of the night, and that’s only what we know of.

Who is the bigger monster here? Do we let him pass because we honor the office, even if it means the office is destroyed and replaced with a dictator?

So, who wins the Nobody’s Perfect award for the week?

Is Edward Snowdow out to kill innocent Americans? Or, do you trust the government that rules you now?

If you choose our government, then you are doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Snowdon, might be a lone traitor, we won’t know unless we hear him speak. BUT—Our own government has hurt, and will continue to hurt more of its own citizens that Edward could ever dream of hurting. You have to buy the ‘facts’ that everyone is telling you, that he intends to give all our secrets away.

And if he is a “traitor” is he any worse than a President that gave nuclear capability to China?Barack and Bill

To say the Edward Snowdon is a bigger traitor than Bill Clinton or Barack Obama is insanity. And to keep trusting the criminals in office, is just more insanity. But that just my lonely Nobody Opinions.

The Difference Between Obama and Bush: Russ Tice is NOT Living in Ecuador

Nobody’s Opinion

I was watching a movie today called IKE. Tom Selleck played the WWII general, Dwight Eisenhower and he did a fairly decent job. It was all about recreation of the days leading up to D-Day and the heavy decisions that the general had to make leading up to the invasion. I only mention this because in the movie, Eisenhower talked about psychological warfare.

Psychological warfare, was used during all our wars by the generals who wanted to influence the enemy.  I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but think that WE, the American people, are now being attacked by our own government…with…psychological warfare. We have been relentlessly manipulated on every issue: Gay rights, abortion, guns, illegal immigration. The right people to deliver this propaganda has been placed on every channel. The real news is being replaced with commentary, and psychological warfare.

And it’s all over our movies and entertainment. For years now, we have been watching endless doomsdays movies and TV sitcoms, which put fear into us. Our politicians are on TV daily, telling us what to think,  and what will happen to us if we don’t think or believe what they tell us. You can’t tell me the government isn’t in on all these “Zombie, end of the world.” sitcoms. Sure, they can be fun, but is that ALL they can think of?

Oh right. They did release a movie about two nutty guys joining Google, just to advertise Google.

No, to this Nobody it’s as obvious as the rain on my roof. The propaganda to change America has been ongoing and pernicious. And above all: Treasonous. For example, witness this gestapo like interview by David Gregory of the Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald, on Meet the Press this morning:

Yesterday, on all the Sunday talk shows, the gunning for the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowdon…… was surreal. I feel like my mind is being put under machine gun attacks.  Snowdon, has endangered us all. It’s official. Now the terroritst won’t use cell phones anymore. We are now, all in danger. High danger.

Right.

Gee, the Boston Bombers were on FACEBOOK and the FBI didn’t even notice them.

I’m going to write about Snowdow tomorrow. But today, take a listen to THIS former NSA agent, Russ Tice, who worked during the Bush administration. Mr. Rice, tells us that he was wiretapping Supreme Court Justices, Congressmen, and the then running for Senator, Barack Obama. He thought it was insane. Gee…wonder why Dick Chaney didn’t call him a traitor? Did I miss that? Why does he get a pass and Snowden doesn’t?

Instead of us all being outraged by the government that is doing this, our attention is RE-directed to the new villain on the screen: Snowdon. He’s in Russia. He’s in Cuba. He is cavorting with the communists. He is destroying the world.

There are two sides to this story. You either believe that the government is right, or you believe that Snowdon was trying to do the right thing. It depends on who you trust.

There IS a another side.—- IF we are attacked by terrorists, then you can bet your next boy-child that they will  blame that traitor, Edward  Snowdon for it. NOBODY in our government will be blamed for not protecting us.

Nobody. They are never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever to blame.

And that’s the psychosocial war-game that they have already won…isn’t it?

A Reason to Go White Water Rafting in Alaska

Nobody FlashesthCA9ERXDL

I love it when someone comes out and starts promoting herself for President, simply because her main qualification it that she IS a woman. Hillary said this in Canada, because she wants their vote to help her become President:

In a video of a private Clinton speech posted to YouTube on Friday, Clinton told a Canadian audience that she hoped the U.S. would elect a woman to the White House because it would send “exactly the right historical signal” to men, women and children. She said women in politics need to “dare to compete” and the nation needs to “take that leap of faith.”

So, you want us to take that leap of faith for you Hillary? Just like the people in Benghazi did?
Remember when your mother told you that just because your friend Johnny jumped off a cliff, does that mean the you have to follow him? Same thing. Go ahead! Vote for the first woman President, Hillary Clinton, and jump off the cliff with her!

Oh boy. Is the first black man to be President going to let the first woman be President, or are the American people going to “elect” the THIRD family Bush into the White House?thCA0F14J2

Nobody Remembers Persons of Low Circumstances

Nobody Remembers

For those of you who have been following the blog, you may have noticed the, always contentious arguments of amfortas and I. He being a proud British subject, loyal to the Queen, and me being the cantankerous American, loyal to  my country, and my ancestors.  We have often argued our case, neither one coming out the winner, although, we both give it a good try.

Sometimes I feel as if the revolution is still being fought.  And yes, I am proud that Americans won against the great British empire, but amfortas doesn’t see it that way. To him, we were recalcitrant children—-spoiled and ungrateful brats.

But I had to laugh today, as I see, the attitude of the good amfortas was fostered not in this century, but in way back in 1705. Surprisingly, (or not) the attitudes of the good British citizen has not changed.Robert Beverly

I was just reading about when I came upon Robert Beverley, an early historian of Virginia, who was asked by an English book dealer in 1703, to appraise the British Empire in America. Here’s some of what he had to say:

I can easily imagine that this, as well as all the rest of the plantations was for the most part  first peopled by persons of low circumstances and by such as were willing to seek their fortunes in a foreign country. For its not likely that any man of a plentiful estate should voluntarily abandon a happy certainty to roam after imaginary adventures in an New World.

He goes on to explain that first, just the single men came over. And since it was such a hardship to get a woman that could “carry sufficient certificate of their modesty and good behavior” they ended up buying a wife at the price of 1oo pounds and hoping for a bargain.

And then he adds an explanation as to why the rather less than desirable British stock came over.

Thus in the time of the Rebellion in England, several good Cavalier families were thither with their effects to escape the tyranny of the usurper. And so again, upon the Restoration, many people of the opposite party took refuge there, to shelter themselves from the King’s resentments.

So, as it sometimes happens in every country more often than not, the King is rotten, and the poor citizens flee. America was a nation founded by people of “low circumstances” and I think that’s pretty much how amfortas sees me, as a commoner, lowly person on the lower end of caste, while he, on the other hand, is born of the higher bred of Royalty.

And, so…speaking from a DNA point of view, he is absolutely right.

He is proud of his British superiority, and well he should be. But I contend that some very great persons of very low circumstances, took the heritage that they got from the motherland, and made a glorious nation…although it is sinking fast.

And for that, the British motherland should be very proud of their ‘offspring.’ Are they? I really don’t think so. congress 1776

Right now, both mother nation and her disobedient offspring are on the brink. While America has committed her amount of sins, Great Britain doesn’t have a clean slate either.

And so we remain, at a standstill. No doubt, we will carry the argument to our graves. Pointless, but never boring.

One of the complaints about John Adams, was that after he spent so many years in England as ambassador, when he came back to his own country, he was convinced that people WANTED to have the pomp and circumstance of Kings and Nobles, etc, and they made fun of him in Congress when he, as Vice President, wanted to call the office of the Presidency “His Royal Highness ” and other high sounding names.

The Congress mocked him, and put him in his place, thank God. All those years spent in Paris and England rubbed off.  John was always trying to figure out political systems, and no doubt, since he was born in America, the whole European aristocratic system gave him lots to think about.

It might please amfortas to know that.

And so the fight goes on still: Should there always be a ruling class that knows better how to rule people? Or should, the persons of low circumstances, take back their lives from the aristocrats and oligarchs of the world?

And since there are no more free lands to run to, where do the lower circumstances go, and is it even possible for western civilization to join together once again to fight the upcoming war between Islam and Christianity?

Just wondering. Nobody Thinks, if we want to survive we must.

I’m not doing my usual today, because it’s a day where we all reflect on the men and women who have given their lives for their country. And also….a day to EAT! barbeque! Don’t know if it’s true but it could easily be. In any event it’s a good lesson for us all>

****************

As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open. The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car, and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty-five feet away.

I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.

I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He then turned back to the old man. I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying: ‘You shouldn’t even be allowed to drive a car at your age.’ And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.

I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief, and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her; he appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough, and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight, and as I got near him I said, ‘Looks like you’re having a problem.’

He smiled sheepishly, and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself, and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around, I saw a gas station up the road, and I told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went inside. I saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them, and related the problem the old man had with his car. I offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him. The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine), I spoke with the old gentleman.

When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, ‘What outfit did you serve with?’

He said that he served with the first Marine Division at Guadalcanal, Pelieliu, and Okinawa . He had hit three of the worst ones, and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me. I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.Ronald Regan words

He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it, and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again, and I said my goodbye’s to his wife.

I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station, I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me. One of them pulled out a card from his pocket, looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.

For some reason I had gone about two blocks, when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name was written: ‘Congressional Medal of Honor Society.’ I sat there motionless, looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage, and an honor to have been in his presence.

Remember, as we approach another Memorial Day, OLD men like him gave you, and all of us, FREEDOM for America.

Thanks to those who served and still serve, and to all of those who supported them, and who continue to support them. America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall.

If you don’t stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them! Remember, Freedom isn’t Free. Thousands have paid the price, so that you can enjoy what you have today.

LET’S DO THIS: JUST 19 WORDS: GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH MY HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL MY WORRIES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL MY FAMILY; AND PLEASE PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS, AND WATCH OVER OUR TROOPS, WHO ARE DEFENDING THOSE FREEDOMS.

AMEN! This prayer is so powerful. Pass this prayer to 12 people, including me.
